Games on disk often repeated data. If level one and level two had the same textures they'd be repeated in both levels data. Otherwise the read head would have to move from level two to level one you read a texture from level one. With a cartridge there is no read head so each texture only need to be on the cartridge once and it will access just as fast from any level.

EA have a cynical attitude to Ninendo. They're not trying to deliver a product that exploits the Switch, they're not trying to get performance out of it. Their switch games are designed to target Adult non-gamers who are buying games for children. As long as the name is the same and the box and the game are similar (to a non-player) it's a nice little earner.
It's a very short sighted attitude but I bet it brings in a nice amount of revenue relative to the dev effort.

If this is another dungeon free Zelda then i don't think I'll bother. I appreciate that people love the open world vibe but to me botw didn't feel like a Zelda game.

No it's not. It's like your job is to watch real horror for over 10 hours a day (this was during a crunch) and after a number of months of doing this every day you get ptsd. The pressure of work and needing employment make a massive difference to how much stress a person feels.

I bought some replacement sticks for a couple of my N64 controller from play asia years ago. Pretty simple job to open them up and switch the sticks around. Better than throwing the whole thing away!

I bought VOEZ and I have to say that having access to a massive list of playable songs from the start just left me bewildered. It's a fun game but it's very difficult to find the songs I like so I don't really bother with it any more.
Sometimes more isn't better.
