That's sad news. I think they only had 1 branch in Ireland, I think it was in Limerick. You never heard anybody talking about them. I much prefer stores like that or Smyths than buying from a catalogue shop like Argos or rip-off shops like Gamestop(that's a company I wouldn't mind see die).
Every time I hear of Toys R Us, I think of this video. It had me in stitches back in the day.
@Octane It was a joke, as they said: 'In before the "but it's 70 dollars for catdboard" crowd.' If you're going to mock people that don't agree with certain aspects of Labo, but botch your mockery, then what do you expect?
And you want to talk about patronising? "I understand that you don't have anything else to do." Really!?
I don't correct everybody's spelling mistakes. I know what you're talking about. You're talking about how I spot and correct mistakes in the stories on this site within seconds. It doesn't take much effort to proofread an article before putting it up. It's a professional site with journalists.
@sillygostly Nostradamus? There's the little matter of buying a Switch for €330, on top of paying €70 for Labo. €400? That's just for one. And if you want to be making all of these cardboard toys accurately then you really need to be buying more of the official kits. As an example, you can buy tablets, which have far more functionality than a Switch and they cost less.
@HappyAxiom Those kind of kits are really cool. I remember similar kinds of electronic experiment kits when I was younger. I think they're more tangible than some aspects of Labo. Yes you're hands on making the toy but then it's kind of computer programming on the Switch in the Toy-Con Garage.
Now that Kirby: Star Allies is nearly out the door, I expect Nintendo to move on to promote Labo for the next month. It's their new gimmick and there aren't any other 1st party games coming out in April.
I'd be wary of 3rd party accessories, especially those that could fry your battery or worse, your Switch. Still it's a decent amount of extra battery life and the stand is better than Nintendo's flimsy effort. That's definitely one of the first things Nintendo will improve on a new Switch model.
LOL at,

@MartyFlanMJFan It was the Atari 2600 for me. Really liked it as a very young kid. I'm not mad on old games now that are pre SNES and C64, with the odd exception.
Another one late to the physical release party. Is there a European release? I doubt it. I've seen this publisher publish other Indie Switch games and when they say limited quantities, they mean limited, like 5,000 copies was one example. What on Earth are "feelies"? Physical tat, I presume.
Why have the sequel when you can have the original? I'm sure it too will be ported over, in time. 500 Yen is roughly €3.80. What's the bet that it'll be rounded up to €5 in the West(which is the Steam price)? I see you can buy buy it for your smartphone for €1. Cheaper, no waiting for a Switch release and it's a touch controlled smartphone game so the Switch offers no benefits.
And when you get on to the sequel, if it comes to Switch, the price difference is even greater. It's likely to be €15(Steam price), it's €4.50 on smartphone.
Well done for taking some action. They had to really if they wanted future sales not to be damaged as they received an almighty backlash following their earlier statement. The previous version on Wii U ran at 60fps.
-best played with friends
-vibrant, colourful and cheerful
-ridiculously easy
-over in a few hours (possibly 6 hours dependent on how much you complete)
-aimed at kids
-overpriced
-not a port
I didn't think I'd ever see a negative review of a Nintendo published Switch game from God Is A Geek but they're extremely damning and scathing. 4/10
@link3710 It was a rhetorical question. I'm well aware it's another port. Chances are it'll be nearly a year old elsewhere by the time it releases on Switch.
I own it already and I'm not buying it again. It was good of them to let people know in advance that a physical version will be coming at a later date.
The price is very reasonable for essentially a port. I read elsewhere that it's best to play this in handheld mode to take advantage of the touchscreen controls.
This is what I'm talking about people. Every day, more and more ports arrive. Testing the waters, me backside. Didn't care for it on Wii U, still don't care for it.
I was very much looking forward to this as I thought this was a normal Scribblenauts game, then I found out last week that it's more akin to a Mario Party title. Killed all interest instantly for me.
@chardir That's why I said "exceptional circumstances". There was only 2 of them, SteamWorld Collection and Fast Racing NEO. And what were those games? Indies. They're who are responsible for these physical releases coming out after the digital release.
Physical releases on other Nintendo platforms were so much better. The games all fitted on the medium, they released at the same time as their digital counterpart(with exceptional circumstances) and they were priced the same as on other platforms.
@TheLobster Nonsense and excuses. "Take your pick." Let's pick this one, "because publishers want to test the waters." Are you Capcom in disguise? The Switch sold ~15 million in its first year, has broke all kinds of records, and yet on a daily basis, the vast majority of the games announced for Switch are ports. There wasn't a single new game announced in the recent Direct. Thanks for the laugh.
The sound effect where he powers up is really grating and repetitive, they all are. I don't think I could play a lot of these old games today unless I was on some nostalgia buzz. It's not just the sound effects that are repetitive, the game is. "I'm bad!" Oh you're bad alright.
@Capt_N I was only thinking about Non-Specific Action Figure this morning in relation to Smash Bros. I think he was used as more a test than that he'll ever be used in a game.
@Kalmaro Are you being sarcastic? Both games look like knock-offs to me, R-Type and Ghosts 'n Goblins. I thought we got these announcements already, I'm sure I've heard of Cursed Castilla EX before. Maybe I seen it on 3DS.

@Jeronan "Just another 3rd party rushing a product to market to profit on the Switch's success!"
That sentence could just as easily apply to the game developers who instead of making new games are porting over old games for a quick buck.
