Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch Online’s Appeal Is Growing, But There's A Long Way To Go

SBandy

I pay to play games online, same as with PS4 and Xbox. Everything else is a bonus.

Plus here is something a lot of people seem to ignore that isn't even part of the subscription (as far as I am aware): The gold coins system for getting discounts off other digital games works seamlessly and is brilliant and there is nothing like it on Xbox or PS4. Why doesn't Nintendo get credit for that?

Re: US Law Firm Opens "Switch Joy-Con Drift" Class Action Investigation

SBandy

You know I don't actually have an issue with this as the joycon drift does appear to be a real problem. I have had it happen to me on occaision also and it does seem widespread.

I don't believe Nintendo has ever addressed it and I am not aware of any journalistic websites like this one doing their job and taking Nintendo to task over it.

Also this line "Nintendo's legal section has had to deal with plenty of other legal patent claims over the years" doesn't really apply as this isn't a patent claim.

@Agramonte

You lost me. What points?

Correct me if I am wrong here but were you not making the accusation that a lot of Nintendo fans were giving a pass to the pay to win model of a Nintendo mobile game when they wouldn't for non Nintendo games?! But it appears you cannot actually back that accusation up with examples.

I know there are people who blindly follow a publisher / company and overlook their particular faults whilst criticising others for the same thing but I didn't see anyone on this thread actually doing that and by you acting like people were you are just as extreme as they are.

Unless you can provide examples of course.

I just don't see who Stadia is for. The people who have the internet good enough to run Stadia likely have a high powered PC or games console so would see no reason to use Stadia. Now Google dropped the bomb that games are full price on Stadia and a lot of people are questioning the point even more. One of their main games is Destiny 2, who cares?!

Plus Phil Harrison is leading it and he was responsible for the botched PS3 and Xbox One launches.

Everything points out disaster.

I am well aware Switch outsold PS4 in Japan. But PS4 has sold fantastically this gen so I doubt Sony actually care.

Sony are right when they don't see Nintendo as a competitor because I bought a PS4 for the great first party exlcusives and third parry games that would not usually release on a Nintendo platform. And I bought a Wii U and Switch becuase of the stellar first and second party titles and some excellent indie/third party titles.

The consoles work great in tandem. They aren't competing.

Re: Guide: How To Fix A Drifting Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Analogue Stick

SBandy

Has anyone actually taken Nintendo to task over this? It is clearly a widespread problem, I have had it happen with my right joycon, but I can't remember any games website approaching Nintendo about this and as far as I am aware there has never been a redesign as new joycons can be just as susceptible.

Nintendo Life should approach Nintendo and see what, if anything, they are going to do about it.

I think it is definitely worth sticking with. The characters are unlikable at the start but they grow as the story goes on and it really becomes something magnificent. The combat also gets really great too.

But we can't control what games we like and don't like so if it isn't for you it isn't for you! Nowt wrong with that.
