No Rayman has not been spotted some twitter poster has seen what they want to see. A coincidence, nothing more, and not even a particularly convincing one.
I look to reviews for information on features etc and any negatives that stand out. In this case we have one site saying the game runs terribly compared to a 13 year old console and another site saying the game runs fine. How the game actually runs should be a factual thing rather than an opinion and that is why it stuck out for me.
99% of the time I already know I am getting a game before any reviews etc come out and rarely do they influence my buying decision. What I do pay more attention to is word of mouth from the general gaming community. Most recent example is God of War, I had no interest but the vast majority of normal gamers who played it kept saying how amazing it was. I bought God of War at the start of the year and I am on my third playthrough. Astounding game.
Then why did you even click on this review and comment that it was "pretty good" when you are not "mindless" like everyone else.
I get the feeling you are talking a load of bull. You are one of those types who will side with a review if it agrees with your pre conceived notion of a game and deny any review that contradicts that view.
You are saying you should be allowed to say the following consequence free: "Let's say a series of Muslims are killed in an attack, and you say, "you're free to believe whatever religion you want, but you're not free from the consequences of following that religion."
"go to Sri-Lanka, and tell those who were recently attacked that that's the consequences they face for believing in Christianity (or Easter-Worshippness)."
You understand that you are defending free speech without consequences and then used an example of free speech that you just yourself declared as bigoted and hateful.
I agree. But who determines ultimately what is and what isn't offensive?
There is no easy answer and in today's world especially I would just think twice about what I say in social media, in the work place, in public or in private because of the possibly negative consequences.
It can be as simple as being a bit too cheeky to a mate and getting punched in the mouth or something more serious like getting fired from your job.
Or it may be something good like getting a date with that person you fancied.
My sentiment of "you are free to say what you want and free to live with the consequences" is basic but if I tried to add all the caveats I would never stop writing!
I suppose you could as would be your right. And I could defend myself from any investigation and show the Police your messages in this thread to show your malicious intent.
You are getting hung up on the negative side of consequences. People being free to say what they want leads to good consequences too like a relationship, a promotion or a new friend etc.
I also already stated context is important which you seemed to have ignored. And I do think a lot of the witch hunts going on today are too extreme, others I don't.
I am basically just pointing out people should be aware that if they feel they can say whatever they want there is a chance there may be negative consequences. Just seems sensible to me.
The tone of this article is off. As is the subheading "Erasing history".
Notch has issues. Makes perfect sense for him not to be invited considering the target market for this game. He is still credited as creator. He was paid handsomely to hand over the reigns to the game and Microsoft have no obligation to him.
Not really as most of Nintendo's games launch on Fridays so Labo VR should not get a let off for that.
I just don't think Labo VR was stocked very highly based on Amazon UK running out briefly which I admit is not that much proof. Labo is a pretty niche product so I wouldn't be too concerned by its first week sales. I think Nintendo sees it as something meant to sell steadily over its lifespan. Overall Nintendo can probably consider Labo to be a nice experiment that has sold decent numbers for what it is and probably made them a bit of money.
I got the Labo VR starter kit and it is cool but I imagine I will use it a couple of times and then it will be consigned to the closet never to be used again. At least it only set me back 35 notes.
Had zero interest in this but then just learnt tonight it will give me access to all The Simpsons episodes and everything changed. Series 3 to 8 of The Simpsons is pretty much perfect television that reached comedic heights no other shows have reached. I will happily pay 10 quid a month to have access to all these episodes every month as they are pretty much endlessly re-watchable.
I will pick up the VR starter Kit because I am curious to see what Nintendo has been able to do with VR. And I will try the VR mode on Odyssey and BotW but the completely inadequate way Nintendo expects me to control those games in VR means I won't realistically play these games at all in VR beyond 5 minutes.
What I do hope is the Youtube app offers VR videos just to expand the use for the Labo goggles.
Labo VR is too limited a device to base releasing an improved Switch for it. Also at the end of the day if an improved Switch arrived with a 1080p display it will still not be anywhere close to other VR devices on the market so I doubt Nintendo would release an improved Switch just for that reason.
I completed it before on PS3 when it was just the PS1 version.
Bought it again for Switch (looks great on the Switch screen) hoping to complete it again and this time have an idea of what the hell is going on in the story as I believe the translation has been tidied up.
Strangely I also wish I could turn off all the benefits like speed up and auto limit break as I want to beat the game honestly but these are too tempting to use.

Re: Review: Resident Evil 4 - An Ageing Masterpiece Which Deserves More Care And Attention
Resident Evil 4 is a 10 out of 10 and will always be a 10 out of 10. Best game ever.
Re: Resident Evil 4 On Switch Is Missing Something Pretty Major For Nintendo Fans
It is 60fps, that is really what matters. Plus it is also the best game ever made regardless of gyro controls.
Re: Could A 'Switch Mini' Be Key To Nvidia's Financial Revival?
Pure speculation. Nintendo buying the chips does not mean a Switch Mini at all and could just mean more normal Switch consoles being produced.
Re: WWE 2K Dev Not Happy With Recent Games, Will Create New Wrestling IP To Re-Energise Staff
Just get AKI or whoever they may be now to make wrestling games again. WWF No Mercy remains the best wrestling game of all time.
In fact just remake that with the old roster. Attitude era was awesome.

Re: Review: Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package - The Next Best Thing To Grand Theft Auto On Switch?
@SnesSwitch
If you were a real Nintendo fan you wouldn't have a gaming PC. Fake git.
(I am taking the mick if this isn't clear)
Re: Review: Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package - The Next Best Thing To Grand Theft Auto On Switch?
@SnesSwitch
There is other corroborating evidence from people in this comment thread that I am more inclined to believe that there are issues with performance.

What a load of tripe. Unless you have proof that any reviewer has been paid off by a game publisher, shut your mouth.

I am not one to compare reviews but IGN has another take entirley on how the game runs especially in docked mode (it is rubbish).

Eventually!
Re: Smash Up The City As A Giant Monster In This Free Nintendo Labo VR Minigame
Tried Labo VR for an hour and now I am done. A nice wee novelty but I can't even be bothered to make the gun.
PSVR lasted me 3 hours before I got bored of it and sold it. VR still has a long way to go for me.
And no I won't try it on PC as I am not a PC gamer and never will be.

Game looks awful. Hardly a "catch" for the Switch.

Dead on arrival.

Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations

Don't put words in my mouth. Those were your examples.
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations
@GothicZM
I said consequences, I never said punishment.
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations
@GothicZM
So to use some of your examples:
You are saying you should be allowed to say the following consequence free:
"Let's say a series of Muslims are killed in an attack, and you say, "you're free to believe whatever religion you want, but you're not free from the consequences of following that religion."
"go to Sri-Lanka, and tell those who were recently attacked that that's the consequences they face for believing in Christianity (or Easter-Worshippness)."
Is that what you are saying?
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations
@GothicZM
Bloody hell can you not see you are agreeing with me?!
You have just listed examples of why you shouldn't be allowed to say things consequence free!
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations
@Pod
Maybe he didn't but it is unclear to me the point GothicZM is trying to make.
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations

Edited comment to make sense!
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations

I have no idea what that is and have no inclination to find out.
Consequences can mean anything including no action being taken. I do believe context is important.
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations
@Dezzy
So? Making up a situation doesn't change the fact that in the real world there are consequences to what people say.
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations
@Dezzy
No I am talking about my belief that people can say what they wish but can also deal with the consequences.
Re: Random: Minecraft's Creator Won't Be Invited To The Game's Anniversary Celebrations

As others have already said, Notch certainly is free to express his opinions, and he is equally free to live with the consequences.
So many free speech advocates forget the latter part.

It is just embarrassing quoting Gaming Intel.
They promised the N64 mini didn't they?
Now there is a good chance there will be a Direct because of circumstances, Joker on Smash, Reggie retiring, history. Have some shame Nintendo Life.
