I only bought the DK theme with my platinum coins, if it's going to be this abysmal I'm almost never going to use these coupons.

Someone said it, this is 2013 2.0, another really slow year, but the weird thing is, it almost doesn't matter because there's a backlog of things to play.

Got it with the Humble Bundle as well, 8/10 is fair, I might be more inclined on a 10 really. It hits plenty of marks perfectly with me, they nailed that Genesis look and sound. I also think the voice acting is really good, none of it has been bad, in fact it's some of the best I've heard from a third party like this in some time. This music is sooo great

Why bother rating this? You're late for one thing and obviously you were going to give it a 9 or a 10 or there would have been a huge long angry string of responses comparing you to 7.5/10 IGN.

@leo13 Back in the N64 days they bought both. Today is a different story and like I said even during this gen and last gen people didn't get into multiple similar games the way they use to. YOU may personally have/will buy both, but it doesn't mean it would make the splash it once did. Personal opinion and taste doesn't mean "they WILL bring us another DK racing"

They want to see your face so they know who everyone is and can save the images into their database for when they need to look you back up for perversion.

@DrkBndr @leo13 My point was; why was there even a rumor about DK Racing 2? It seems too farfetched and like an obvious fake. Even if you want it, most bigger devs would know better than to try and compete with Mario Kart in this day and age, I doubt Nintendo would want 2 kart style racers at once, especially where they're competing with themselves in this situation. I think last gen proved with Mario Kart Wii, that you can't topple the best in class. Many kart racers tried and failed to make a big hit, even Sonic barely grasped the concept. Also MK8 isn't new but it would still take away from that game's online, would be too similar, or would hurt sales, they do have that MK8 WiiU bundle too. MK8 has water and air options too as did Diddy Kong.

Why did Diddy Kong Racing 2 even come up? Honestly...

Besides Kirby is probably aimed toward children even though everyone plays the games, making it too in depth would alienate kids who don't have the mind for that kind of stuff yet.

@Vandy I do agree with the Kirby being mysterious part, I think they do that on purpose and it works really well. Changing it would probably ruin the charm and wonderment which is part of the fun. I doubt they'll change it.
I'm indifferent about Link, the games were already more in depth but I do remember having more wonderment when things weren't so tied together the way they are now.

@Vandy Well I'm not saying Kirby is bad, it's one of my favorites, but an explanation of some things would be cool. But if not, okay haha Just for curiosity sake I suppose.

This game is on sale and I noticed it has a 4.5/5 star rating in the eShop with over 2300 reviews, so that's awkward and strange this got trashed so hard here. Looks a bit too simple but 2/10 seems harsh with the others...

Is Kirby's universe or "lore" suppose to match up and make sense ever? The whole series is crazy, like why is there suddenly mechs? No explanation lol Why do the other planets we've visited in other Kirby games never reappear or ever get a mention?

I hope this isn't as boring as Miitomo actually is.

@the-madprofessor That's part of the reason why I have doubt as well, not to mention there's been at least one time where Nintendo mentioned the NX is not replacing the 3DS or WiiU, but of course that's usually ignored as well. Mostly because people want to say we don't have all the information yet and like to add their spin on it or say "well maybe not YET but it WILL replace it" okay???? once again no basis lol For about 10 seconds people were touting the QoL to be the WiiU successor, everyone forgot their embarrassing "fact" claims already.
