Re: Talking Point: Are You Prepared To Spend $70 On The Latest Games?

Roto13

The price of games in CAnada went from $60 to $70 to $80 I buy way fewer games for full price than I used to when they were $60. There are several games that have come out recently (Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Xenoblade Definitive Edition) that I would have bought for $60 but now I won't buy until they're on sale for probably $40 or less.

$90 games will just mean I buy even fewer games. The longer it takes for a game to hit a reasonable price point, the more likely I am to just never get around to buying it.

Re: Talking Point: Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Rollout Of Event Updates Make It Feel 'Incomplete'?

You unlocked most things in the other games within the first month or so. Getting a new guest character that can show up randomly like Gullivarr was mostly unheard of. (New Leaf got Harvey years later but that's an exception.) It's weird knowing that if I set my clock to Christmas, it wouldn't be Christmas because there's no Christmas patch yet. But by the time it's actually Christmas, there will be. Having things added over time via patches isn't really that different from playing any of the other games correctly and slowly experiencing all of the content anyway.

I used to play with all of my alts every day and get recipes and stuff from SAharah if she was visiting, do the Label fashion challenge, with them all, dig up their glowing spots and plant bells, etc. I got sick of doing that, so I just don't any more. I still play with my main guy every day and do at least a run through my town to see what's up. Some days I play more, but I don't let it keep me from playing other things if I want to.
