It's sad that Nintendo instantly abandoned non-predatory mobile game monetization. I expected better from them, truthfully. I really hope this doesn't bleed over into their real games.

@JayJ This isn't someone with a YouTube channel who has no responsibility to Epic. This is someone who signed and then broke an NDA. It's not bullying, it's holding someone accountable.

@chiefeagle02 I absolutely adored everything about that game. It was like a mix of Zelda and Mario with charming Japanese weirdness all over it.

Which you apparently can't do any more in Sword and Shield. You can trade with randos but the proper (useful) GTS is gone.

I'd rather a few developers be sad than PR people have the chance to frame everything in the exact perfect way to make you believe a game is going to be better than it is.

Another new Pokémon game, another surge of whiners complaining that the evolutions look bad.

This makes sense, and as someone with only one Switch, it doesn't really matter much to me, but it does make the Switch Lite seem even less appealing as a secondary Switch than it already was.

@PBandSmelly I distinctly remember one part where the voiceover talks about your Miis having "favourite activities" over footage of Bill Trinen's Mii rolling around on the floor.

For my money, Bayonetta 1 and 2 are still the absolute top of the character action genre.

The mobile version of this game is absolute f2p trash and I can't imagine this version will be much better just because it has less crappy controls.

Fighting over the difference between AAA and Indie is like fighting over the difference between red and hungry. They're not even describing the same things.

I wanted to finally play Planescape, but apparently they're forcing you to buy Icewind Dale with the console versions so I guess I won't.

Taiko no Tatsujin is finally a price I'm willing to pay.

I downloaded it and played it for half an hour and deleted it because it sucks.

As people started doing their second runs through, recruitable characters were bound to overtake ones only useable in one path. I haven't done Black Eagles yet but I use Dorothea a decent amount in both of the other routes.

They can throw all the money they want at it, it's still one of the worst game soundtracks I've ever barely put up with.

@Obito_Sigma We almost got one on Game Boy Color. The Oracles games were originally planned as a set of three games, with one being a remake of the original NES Legend of Zelda.

I'd love to see remakes of the first two Zelda games because the rest of the series is as playable now as it was when it came out. Those two are a bit tough and obtuse in places.

I really don't like Star Wars, but I do like pinball, and Star Wars Pinball is some good pinball.

I don't really get why this was changed. It's a disturbing story either way (and it's meant to be) and this just gives fewer details.

It's pathetic how many people will see that someone did something awful and then jump to their defense just because they don't like the people who get angry at awful people.

Like, take a step back and really examine yourself and what you contribute to the world.

@Dang69 Yeah, ACIII is considered to be one of the worst and Black Flag is considered to be one of the best. I absolutely loved Black Flag.

@k8sMum Allowing reviews at all before a thing comes out is extremely stupid to begin with, but that's as close to a proper way to use pre-release user reviews as there can be.

@k8sMum John Carter wasn't downvoted out of spite. It was downvoted because people expected it to be bad, then it came out and got poor reviews because it was bad, and nobody saw it because they weren't interested in it. It wasn't some whiny spite campaign like this is.

@Terrible_Majesty Tim Rogers gushing about Dragon Quest in his review for this game is the reason I played the entire series first the first time recently.

Literally the first stage I played in Mario Maker 2 on launch day was a different vertical 1-1. I liked that one more.

@Zidentia This is a recurring problem in Dragon Quest games and spinoffs. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the composer, Koichi Sugiyama (who is a horrible monster of a person in general) insists that his awful music be so loud by default that it just drowns out the rest of the sound.

@BlueOcean Yeah, I don't use my Xbox One a whole lot, but I've never had a hardware problem with it. The controller is the best of the generation, too. The 360 was bad for consumers but it was also terrible for Microsoft, who had to replace those 360s for free, sometimes 2, 3, 4+ times. This is with a console they were already selling at a loss. They definitely needed to avoid that this generation.

Meanwhile, I've been through like three PS4 controllers....
