Dragon: Marked For Death wasn't released in the best state, but Inti Creates has worked hard since then to continually improve the experience. Its latest update adds a brand new boss, a new quest, new end-game weapons, and much more. Here's the rundown:
The Ver. 3.1.0 update for Dragon Marked for Death is here! Many new things have been added, including a new boss fight, "The False God of the Abyss," new end-game weapons have been added for each character class, a new quest, "Ancient Gods," has been added, exclusive accessories for the Bandit and the Oracle have been added, along with various character adjustments and bug fixes.
In the same update, the developer also apologised for the following issue:
English names for the weapons Excalibur +1, Excalibur +2, and Excalibur +3 are displayed incorrectly. A patch to address this issue is in development. A date for this update will be announced as soon as possible.
You can view the full patch notes over on the Dragon: Marked For Death website. Will you be trying out this new update? Leave a comment down below.

The Oracle and Bandit buffs were sorely needed. Hopefully they're enough to make those characters viable, because they were just straight-up inferior before.
To be honest, I've basically "quit" this game long ago, so it matters little to me on how much updates it still receives these days. In fact, I have to delete this game off of my Switch's SD Card as soon as possible...
As an Inti. Creates fan, Dragon: Marked for Death didn't leave me impressed as I felt that much of the gameplay leaned towards the line of monotony and identity crisis, not to mention that the entire game was pretty much designed to be a multiplayer experience while leaving solo players such as myself disadvantaged to the many cheap enemies ahead. Yes, I get that the game encourages you to grind to get stronger through both stats and equipment, but I stand by the fact that I played sidescroller action RPGs that had these elements while yielding a more rewarding engagement (i.e. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, and even Super Paper Mario).
I liked this game a lot at launch, even with its issues and crazy release structure. Once I saw how they were updating I decided to put it off and wait for the most major of updates to roll out and balance tweaks. Glad I did cause it sounds like it’s in even better shape now than it ever was. Can’t wait to dive back in now!
Just make this game local co-op, ugh. Why does it always turn out to be somebody with amphibian caliber DNA bearing the decision making power over fundamental layers of the game. It completely undermines all the investment into more nuanced systems when you're forked from square one.
surprised they're still supporting it... looking it up... whoa actually it only came out the beginning of last year. would think it'd be a better idea to make a sequel or alternate edition, give owners of the current game a discount if they feel bad about it, either way i think they need to go deep if they really wanna fix it.
It's interesting how Inti Creates have treated this game almost like a live service.
Still waiting on a decent sale for this game
This is essentially a 2d monster hunter and in it's current state is super awesome to play with if you play it with a friend.
Really enjoyed this game, a well needed buff for the new characters.
