@BlueOcean The failure rate of the 360 cannot be overstated. The heatsink design flaw meant you were almost definitely going to end up with a brick if you played a lot of games on it. The only Nintendo problem that's that likely to happen is the Joycon thing, and at least that doesn't leave the Switch completely unplayable.
NES: Typical read errors for games SNES: Read errors for games N64: Control sticks came lose GameCube: Control sticks came loose Wii: Couldn't properly read Smash Bros.. (At least Nintendo recognized this problem and fixed it for free.) Switch: Joycon stick got the common Joycon stick problem, Pro controller stick stopped registering full inputs in one direction
Game Boy Advance SP: Randomly restarts. This is an old used one I bought in Akihabara, though. DS Lite: Top screen died, shoulder buttons stopped responding correctly DSi: Shoulder buttons stopped responding correctly 3DS: Circle pad fell off 3DS XL: Came with a yellowed top screen that Nintendo refused to fix
I remember this quote. I also remember people reading it and going "Oh, Link's Awakening." But then everyone just sort of forgot about it because it didn't seem very important.
@KamenRiderGENM There's a decent mobile port of that version that's much cheaper. Touch screen controls for movement aren't ideal but it's a turn based RPG so it works fine.
"fixed a bug where game time would continue to count up if the console was put to sleep or quit to the home menu"
That's good. Not that I was super hardcore about the leaderboards, but my game clock saying I played for like 45 hours kind of killed my chances there.
@SmileMan64 Regarding fishing for Professor EXP: There are special days when you can catch multiple fish per piece of bait. Each fish gives 10 EXP. If you save your bait for one of those days, you'll get more for it. It's kind of a drag to spend that much time fishing, though.
I didn't realize you could rework the rusted weapons and I'm nearing the end of the game. Whoops.
@60frames-please Reading comments like this make me glad I'm a normal, well-adjusted human being who doesn't need their turn based strategy game to run at 60fps. Thank's for that.
I'm playing the Blue Lions route, but knowing what happens with Edelgard in the story, it's pretty wild that Black Eagles is most people's first route. That really seems like something New Game Plus should explore.
@NEStalgia I've had it with one joycon, one Pro controller, and two PS4 controllers. I don't know what awful new technology they're using that's different from previous hardware generations, but it needs to be rolled back.
I fully intended to buy this game but then the price shot up $10 when it launched, despite the pre-order price not being advertised as a sale, so I probably won't bother even when it goes on sale. That was the last straw for Nicalis for me.

Re: Hello Games Founder Sean Murray Shows Interest In No Man's Sky Switch Port
This game runs pretty poorly on my PS4 Pro. I can't imagine a Switch port would be worth it.

What the hell is this? Sonic the Hedgehog: Wand of Gamelon?
Re: Edelgard And The Black Eagles Are The Most Popular In Fire Emblem: Three Houses
Vague spoiler:
I'm playing the Blue Lions route, but knowing what happens with Edelgard in the story, it's pretty wild that Black Eagles is most people's first route. That really seems like something New Game Plus should explore.
Re: Free Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board Challenge Pack Available To Switch Online Subscribers
@Heavyarms55 1336.
So close to 1337
Re: Poll: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Is Out Today, Which House Will You Choose?
Supposedly Blue is the easiest and Red is the hardest so I'll probably play Blue, then Yellow, then Black.
Re: Hand of Fate Studio Defiant Development Throws In The Towel
That's too bad. The HAnd of Fate games were kind of flawed, but also pretty cool and interesting.
Re: 'The Original Mobile Games' Might Be The Switch eShop's Most Bizarre Release To Date
This sounds really interesting. I'll check it out.
Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch
Joycon apologists need to take a good, long look in the mirror and take stock of what they're doing with their lives.

Re: Game Freak Isn't Reusing 3DS Models In Pokémon Sword and Shield
I absolutely do not believe this at all.

@ThanosReXXX Thanks for stopping by to repeatedly let everyone know that you aren't interested in a video game. That's very helpful and informative.
Re: Review: Dream Daddy: A Dad Dating Simulator - A Heartwarming And Likeable Visual Novel
@jarvismp Game that was well received on PC continues to be well received on Switch. Shocking.
Re: Random: Have We Been Missing A Zelda Easter Egg In Mario 64 All These Years?
If you put any three dots in a row at random heights, it's going to look like a song from Ocarina of Time.
Re: Square Enix Also Exploring The Idea Of Its Own Subscription Or Streaming Service
It's Square-Enix so it will cost $30 a month and have the worst version of each game.
