@MS7000 I agree. I’ve already played Mario 64 many times and Mario Sunshine is totally overrated. Very disappointed that we’re just getting ports (and paying a premium for it again). And no Mario Galaxy 2!

There’s a lot to be said about a company that has such recognizable and mainstream IP. Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pokémon, Kirby... I’m amazed Sony and Microsoft have so little of that sort of recognition considering the popularity of their brands.

I never understood people liking this game. It's a HUUUUUUGGGGEEE downgrade from Super Mario World or Super Mario 3. The main turn-off is the music - the underground music in particular. It's very repetitive and depressing.

@nessisonett You’re 100% right. There’s little point in morally ranking corporations when they all outsource from the same place. Nobody is going to speak up and willingly end their relationship with the Chinese market.
Fun fact: The NBA recently allowed customers to customize jerseys with any 12 character slogan on their jerseys. You could write absolutely anything except “FREEHONGKONG”. I think they have since reversed this due to the backlash, but it goes to show how adamant these corporations are in keeping their relationship with China intact.

The quality of Nintendo’s top tier games has definitely increased with the Switch. Smash Ultimate, Oddysey and BOTW are the cream of the crop.

@AtlanteanMan I think this will actually be the perfect time to release a new system. A lot of people are low on cash but I believe the new systems will sell like hot cakes considering social distancing will continue for a while. People have cut back on spending generally but not on games.

I’m not so much upset about higher costs as I am about how long it takes to develop games nowadays. I miss the NES/SNES days where you could expect a great new Final Fantasy or Castlevania or Megaman game every 1.5-2 years. Now we have to wait 4-5.

I heard Yuke’s is currently working on their own non-WWE wrestling game. Would love to see that turn up sometime.

I love Nolan but I wish he’d chop off about 20% of his ideas from his films. They’re often a bit too overstuffed with characters having to over-explain stuff. Still a great director though.
