Re: Opinion: The Mario Movie Was Okay At Best, But I Can't Wait For The Sequel

@Kingy But the Bob Hopkins movie had hardly anything to do with Super Mario or any of the games, just some names and some references, you might as well watch Bladerunner or Twins, there's reason why that flopped and Bob said it was the worst movie he worked on, while this was a success again whilst it might not be Toy Story in terms of story telling tho the character development for Mario and co was great nor was any of the games it was about a fun colourful world full of action, it was watching a Mario game that's what a Mario Movie should be. The bit when Peach is training Mario with him getting further and better after each failed attempt is just like playing the actual games, overcoming a hard level.

@N00BiSH I mean the Mario games ain't known for having stories with substance really... Galaxy could of but most of its storytelling is in the background, same with Obyseey the only Mario game that tries with story is Sunshine even then it feels like a simple cartoon plot like Mario Super Show had, while the movie wasn't perfect I think it offered more of a story then any of the games from the last 40 years of Mario, the only issue I think it had it was trying to fit so much in and a lot got cut like Luigi's part in the movie either way it at least feels like a Mario Movie unlike the 1993 one and was a fun time which is what a good film should be.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 Gets A Seven-Minute Overview Trailer

RoboCube

@Untempered-Link A lot of people love to complain, think most actually wanted Nintendo to make another Wii U flop and hate the fact the Switch 2 is selling well and try to shift all their money issues onto Nintendo, again people asked for Galaxy to make a return especially 2 now we got it most people are complaining about it, even tho this isn't the first time there's been a overpriced remaster from Nintendo or Sony but for most people especially new games this will be a great way to experience two of the best games ever made.

Love it how people don't have a issue paying £65 for a Wii U Zelda game or £130 if you want the other one too... Isn't this what people wanted? Mario Galaxy to return? Especially Galaxy 2 even tho there Wii games there some of the best looking and best playing games to ever come out, there seems to more to these remasters, sure games cost a lot today that's just the way it is, I'm glad we getting both galaxy games on Switch and more people to experience them remember Wii came out nearly 20 years ago...

Re: Review: Bubsy In: The Purrfect Collection (Switch) - Limited Run Cleans Out The Kitty Litter

RoboCube

@MirrorFate2 Sonic Origins got the 8/10 cus the actual games are solid and people want a easy way to play them, even if it's a buggy and overpriced mess, but with Bubsy you got solid emulation, tons of cool history stuff there's a improved version of Bubsy 3D but the games themselves are pretty badly designed games, the only way to fix them would be make a game that doesn't suck Bubsy 4D could such a game I think Bubsy did have a lot of potential but I think the biggest issue is the gameplay and level design itself where it's so easy for Bubsy to get the 1 hit deaths...think the animation for the deaths were better than playing it, there's a good reason why no one re release any of his games after the PS1 game, but bad 90s games sell now looking at the LJN license games getting modern re releases that's this exists..

Re: Review: Bubsy In: The Purrfect Collection (Switch) - Limited Run Cleans Out The Kitty Litter

RoboCube

@SpaceboyScreams Thing is the original Mega Drive Sonic are classics that have aged well and are still very playable, Bubsy on the otherhand was bad even back then, with the PS1 game being one that system's worst looking and playing games, it looks like a jaguar game..the jaguar Bubsy had the same issues as the 1st game despite being a sequel I like they made some effort with Bubsy 3D to improve it but honestly all the games needed to be redesigned to be made playable, there's a chance the new game might be the first good Bubsy game but this collection is only good for archive history not really played for fun, I mean I guess one good thing is this is cheaper then getting the original games off eBay.

Re: Developers Reportedly Still Struggling To Get Switch 2 Dev Kits

RoboCube

@Willo567 Haven't you heard? Nintendo "fans" hate Nintendo and want to be miserable, there still upset the Switch 2 wasn't another Wii U, aside from Game Key cards tho Playstation and Xbox have also sadly been doing this since the PS4 era not all the data on disc/cartridge Switch 2 is doing great, just gotta wait for the big games, took the Wii and 3DS about a year to get into full swing.

Re: Nintendo Releases 'It's Me, Mario!' Stop Motion Shorts, Watch Them Right Here

RoboCube

@N00BiSH Tbh I think the worse about Kevin voicing Mario here he's just reusing lines from Mario Wonder and Mario Kart World...there's nothing new or creative like Charles would add, I mean what's the point of getting a new Mario voice actor if your just gonna use archive voice clips again? You could easily add in Charles's archive of voice clips and it would be the same tho better pitched less Mickey Mouse more Mario, still nice animations and i love the music remixes like how New Super Mario Bros DS got remixed in one of these

Re: It's Official, Switch 2 Has Sold Over 3.5 Million Units Globally In Its First Four Days

RoboCube

@Anti-Matter If the PS5 had more interesting exclusive games then maybe it might be half as good as the Switch 2, you still on about the Mario Kart's price tag and game key cards? Donkey Kong a 1st party game isn't that much infact it's a lot less so not all Nintendo games will this pricey plus if you get the console bundle your only playing £35 for MK World as for the game key cards you can still resell and a lot disc based games since PS4 need the internet and downloads to do anything, heck that's why Sony and Microsoft is trying to ditch the discs by offering consoles where you can only download games, that's one of the big reasons why I never want a PS5.

Re: Charles Martinet Explains How He Wants To "Maintain The Integrity" Of Mario

RoboCube

@Anti-Matter Chris Pratt was a dull voice for Mario it had no charm or effort, he just sounded like his normal voice, when Charles speaks normally it sounds nothing like his Mario voice, plus the man gave Mario's voice of a lot of life and joy, it's really a shame Nintendo even now don't let Mario talk in the games like full sentences, in case you don't know Kevin is voicing Mario since Super Mario Bros Wonder he's not perfect but at least he's trying to capture the magic Charles brought to the role his Luigi and Waluigi are really good tho Chris's Mario on the other hand just sounds like Garfield...oh wait.
