I haven’t bothered logging in for a while but this list is missing some much better titles: Horizon chase turbo Castle crashers The stretchers MARIO and Sonic Tokyo games Splatoon And many many more! Who writes this stuff???
The game is fun but it just doesn’t give you the same sense of speed and control as MARIO kart. Almost feels like the road is moving and not the kart. Also seems to be a little more difficult than I expected.
@brandonbwii not to mention some aren’t what I would call 3D platformers. Here’s an idea nintendolife if you have to stretch the definition it is probably better to wait on publishing the list. Captain toad??? Not a platform we also some of these games are rubbish so there’s that too
Lots of really good news with developers seeing success and planning on bringing more games to the platform. I do think the eshop could definitely use an overhaul to make finding games a little easier for users. Still the switch is such a great system with so much to offer.
I picked this up after watching a YouTube review and I kinda wish I hadn’t. Didn’t do it for me. Much better options with dead cells and the tremendous binding of Isaac
I have been all about the switch since picking one up at launch. So much so that i rarely touch my other systems. That all changed on Christmas when my family got a psvr and man is it a game changer. Besides some switch stuff I will sinking my time into beat saber and super hot. May even finally check out resident evil and Star Wars battlefront in vr!
@geox30 have to agree with you. While I have double dipped on a few games on switch charging full price for a 6-7 year old game doesn’t seem right. I know I don’t have to buy it but with so many great games coming out I can’t really justify spending $60 on a game I already own
As a collector I already own most of the games on this list. I am less and less interested in ports as I get older. With a family my gaming time is limited and even though I enjoy playing the big Nintendo releases like breath of the wild and odyssey I have found a lot of enjoyment in rougelike games like dead cells and the binding of Isaac which I missed on other platforms and is honestly my most played switch game to date.
As a Wii U owner I don’t really need any Wii U ports. I have double dipped on a couple of titles like Mario kart but I have passed over some as well. I prefer unique new experiences although revisiting hyrule always intrigues me. Personally though I’d rather see a Mario maker sequel then a rerelease. Why I do understand why Nintendo did it in year one and two I just don’t see the need anymore. I agree with what others have said and would flip for some GameCube games or even a reimagining of punchout Wii for the switch
Smash of course and a handful of others in between. Been tempted to take on a brief atmospheric journey and I have a little eshop credit, not sure if I should take the plunge in abzu or go adventuring in firewatch. Any recommendations?
Respect the thought and work put in and largely agree with number one but the rest of the list would be quite different for me. Not much love for the NES
@NintendoFan4Lyf it’s more about if they get the controls right and a lot of these were meant to be played with a joystick or spin dial so it will likely be hit or miss
@Silly_G these games are not just necessarily old some are true classics which paved the way for future games. I get that they are relatively basic in terms of graphics and gameplay but that does not mean they are not classics
I may give firewatch another try. Played it on Xbox one and though I enjoyed it I never got around to completing it. Something about the portability of the switch brings new life to games for me
This goes without saying and given PlayStations game list and weak reviews not surprised at all. Had they put in more effort and added the right games this could have been great but I will pass on the ps1 classic canceled my preorder the day the full game list came out and keep hoping for Nintendo to annnounce the n64 classic

The 150 makes me question the quality of the ports/emulation.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 1st)
I’m sure I will play some other stuff but horizon chase turbo multiplayer with the wife and kids is definitely on deck.
