Re: Here's A First Look At The House Of The Dead: Remake Physical Switch Release

I'll be honest. This is s little disappointing. It comes with stickers, character stands and an exclusive box. (Which I'll say the exclusive box art is my favorite part about it) and no guns. Maybe they'll do multiple physical releases through other sites or even better just a retail release. Also, you'll probably be waiting around awhile to get this. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass.

@MostHandsieBoy I'm not sure how much you have ordered from Limited Run or other similar sights before but it's only March. And you ordered it back in October..? Dont be surprised if you don't get it until May, June, July, August. And that's if everything goes smoothly. Unless I'm trying complete a series or I'm just a fan of the franchise I don't order from them anymore. Dont get me wrong. Overall they do great work. Finally receiving the final product is amazing, but if I really want to just play the game I just buy digital or double dip depending on what it is..

If you don't mind me asking, what did you order? I'm still waiting on the physical for Zombies ate my Neighbors. They released it on the Eshop in June which is also around the time Limited Run announced they were making a physical. Just to put it in to perspective for you. And thats just for a standard copy. And yes, I just bought it digitally instead of waiting. (Thankfully)

I'll most likely settle with the digital version only because I don't want to wait MONTHS to play it. Plus I'm pretty much done buying third parties and indies physical but then again it also comes down to pricing.. so we'll see. Yes, I'm sure this could potentially hold some good value for the physical years down the road but I'm kind of over that. Kind of. Lol.

Re: Don't Worry, The Klonoa Collection Is Getting A Physical Release On Switch

Qphlat27

@GravyThief Theres ALOT coming out this year but I might double dip myself. I love my Switch but let's be real; it's not the best way to play most of time especially when it comes to third parties. I'd really like to experience the game with better overall performance but I do love me some handheld gaming.
I find myself in this situation quite a bit. It's like, play the game at its peak performance. (At least what's available to me (Xbox Series S)) or get the handheld experience. Which due to the convenience, I'm more likely to get more actual play time out of it. It's a hard toss.

Re: Nintendo "Has Interest" In NFTs And The 'Metaverse'

Gaming is ruined. I'm losing the passion for it everyday because of this crap. As much as I criticize Nintendo I also admire them so much as a company for many reasons. If they jump on board with this stuff then I'll probably just give up on them too. Like, they'll ignore making a good functioning online service but they're willing to jump into NFTs? Get out of here.

Its almost not even worth sticking around anymore.

Re: Nintendo Leaker Suggests Pricing Of Switch Online's Expansion Pack Could Be Tied To "Licensing Costs"

Qphlat27

Whatever the reasoning for the insane price is I wish Nintendo would just come out and tell us exactly why. If the NSO was a competent service with dedicated servers, messaging, voice chat.. you know, the basics. I'd be all for it. Hell, I'd even say it would compete with Gamepass Ultimate in a sense. It's a bit of a hot take but that's strictly my opinion. However, the NSO service offers none of those things. I love Nintendo but I'm not impressed with this at all.

Re: Streaming Giant Netflix Acquires Its First Video Game Developer

@HeadPirate Agreed. I like my physical games but I've calmed waay down on the physical market. Its oversaturated and almost pointless (depending on the game) in modern times.
People complain like Gamepass is some kind terrible service because you "don't own" the games. Get over it. It's a steal if you actually enjoy gaming. Like, 90% of Xbox physical games are not actually even on the disc. Honestly, I don't even know why Microsoft bothers making physical games.

Re: The World's First Nintendo Switch OLED Model Unboxing Video Is Here

Qphlat27

@Magician I see the upgrade as completely optional on whether you would find it worth paying extra for a little more 'premium' handheld experience. If I was more of a docked player I would see no reason get one of these.

Personally, even as a handheld player I think the OLED makes more sense than the Switch Lite.
