It's a good gap, people blow out of proportions the fact that it's getting another. 5 years is normally a long time for shooters and shooters rarely change/add much, so Splatoon 3 is changing more than most shooters do period.
People just hate because it isn't their preferred genre/game
The pandemic was the biggest defining moment imo because it showed the staying power the Switch could have and prove an increased lifecycle for it was very profitable for Nintendo.
In all honesty though (probably nostalgia) Super Circuit is my favorite because the tracks give happy vibes to me and I like the awkward drifting etc without boost spamming like most other ones. It also has all the SNES tracks and is just a lot more fun to me than any others
That would be an amazing idea but only if you could catch every Pokemon in every seed, but their locations and levels were changed. Maybe since Kanto was so open they would've had a way to navigate to different orders of gyms too like making a boat to Cinnabar for it to become the first gym in some seeds.
Summer Games Fest has been awful, E3 is a much better presentation and event. The big companies spend 3-4 months preparing for E3 and honestly don't care much about Summer Games Fest. Imo the best thing would either be Summer Games Fest to dissolve once the big companies go back to E3, or for Summer Games Fest to turn into an indies presentation.
They should just learn from LRG or the Japanese Nintendo store. Just have preorders and make it based on demand. They won't be shipping the extra stuff for the Special Edition until months later and it's certainly not stuff that's very hard to mass produce.
I got in the first minute it allowed people to order.
I put one in my cart, only one for me.
I click on my cart to check out.
Go to payment.
Doesn't let me pay.
Forces everyone into waiting queues.
Doesn't let me checkout for around 5 hours.
Puts me in a waiting line for my own cart (which only I should be able to access).
Doesn't ever let me purchase what I put in my cart in the first few minutes while other people who probably weren't there the entire time are allowed to order.
Kicks me and everyone else off (after me waiting for 10 hours), and removes the item from my cart (when a Nintendo customer service rep told me it would stay in my cart even if it took a long time).
TLDR; Nintendo has the worst servers and didn't prepare at all for this and ruined everyone's day.
Maybe just buy the box? I personally never buy a game unless I'm going to play it, because at that point to me it's not "preservation" it's seratonin. Also it's the reason people who actually want to play the game have to pay high prices or resort to piracy, because so many people just collect it but never play it and never share it.
Questions: I think the beginning is a bit of a slog and can easily turn away newcomers.
I don't think you can expect a lot of people to push through a slow start, people only have limited time and really need the first 2-3 hours to really grip them to dedicate their time towards it.
The only way I could probably convince Kate and Ollie to stick with it is to use an emulator with a speed up button and maybe auto battle for grinding.
I can't decide on a favorite location, but I absolutely adore Buzz Buzz and his untimely death.
Fuzzy pickles makes me feel too awkward around others.
I have some expensive games, but I only collect to play. If I haven't played something yet, I eventually will. I don't like the idea of a game just sitting there, I'd rather experience it and get at least one use out of it.
This game comes at a bad time for me, because I want to get it but don't have much spare money at the moment. I'm excited to pick it up but will have to hold off for a bit.
They say inspiration from Wario Land 4, but I think they just don't want to say it was inspired by Wario Land Shake it since people didn't like it as much. A chase section at the end is almost carbon copy.
In theory the idea is appealing, but the main character doesn't really have any charm for me, and I feel like they could've expanded on Wario Land's ideas more.
I might invest $20 and get a copy from that, but I'm afraid to because if Nintendo releases a new or port of Wario Land, or anything similar, it will destroy the game.
Honestly it doesn't look very overpowered, in the video even though they were aiming close to the Vac, it didn't suck up some of the ink going near the player (in a straight line). It would make it really easy to get close to the Vac user quickly and splat them from the side/back. Curling bombs will be OP against them to get in close without having to feed it ink

Re: Watch: Is Five Years Between Splatoon Games Too Short A Wait?
@SteamEngenius COD games still remain some of the best selling per console, lots of people care.
I could be wrong but I believe before Elden Ring COD was the best selling on PS5 by a long shot

Re: Poll: Which New Pokémon From The Scarlet & Violet Trailer Is Your Favourite?
I'm still on the Smoliv sucks train, but Lechonk is so funny looking. I actually love Koraidon's look (minus the weird motorcycle things).
Re: Feature: Everything You Might Have Missed In The New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trailer
@Wilforce me as well, I always get both and steel books!
Re: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trailer Introduces New Professors And Your Rival, Nemona
The new characters are all awesome and look great.
Re: Feature: All The New Pokémon In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
@nymbosox I thought the same but dumb looking. It would only be better than Budew to me if it becomes the new Psyduck
Re: Feature: All The New Pokémon In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
I don't understand the Smolive hype, they just look like a crappy Budew

Re: Poll: Which Dormant Capcom Franchise Would You Like To See Return?
My favorites would be star commander or Dino Crisis, but most likely is Breath of Fire, Viewtiful Joe, Onimusha, and Okami

I would personally buy 1000 copies of another Dino Crisis game if they made one.

The NA art is just spectacular. Understandable why it was downsized for logos etc, but one of the best gritty style artwork for a video game ever.

I will be rotating between Nintendo Switch Sports, Splatoon 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
