Re: Nintendo Shares New Info About Bowser's Fury Mode In Super Mario 3D World

Nintendoforlife

@JayJ The game thrived as a multiplayer title and as you said it was clearly built for it even down to the crown obtained when you get the most points per level. I was actually really excited for this mode when it was announced, but it seems too lacking content wise for me to double dip. The whole 2 player co-op in a completely 4 player game is also an odd choice to go with that puts me off buying it. I guess I was expecting more along the lines of Champions road but it seems more like we’re getting Captain toad.

Re: Custom-Made Etika Joy-Con Which Raised $10k For Charity Fell Foul Of Copyright Claim, Creator Reveals

@May_Nyan “Another thing is that not being under the control of corporations would allow artists to follow their own creative vision and make what they want, rather than what a company thinks is "marketable", so a lot more interesting and varied things would be made as a result.”

Except anyone can pick of pencil and some paper draw whatever they want right now. If you have a creative vision follow it and don’t join said company what am I missing?

It’s also worth pointing out your view of eliminating copyrights and trademarks would result in a clear net negative for all the creators you claim to support,

Re: Epic's Apple Lawsuit Could Have "Significant And Serious Ramifications" For Platform Holders Like Nintendo

@Razer

1. Apple has made around 360 million from Fortnite since its addition to the store. Epic has made the remaining 840 million, in what world is that not worth the hassle? If Apple asking for 30% of 1.2 BILLION is worth laughing at then straight up leave the store, instead of trying to circumvent.

2. Fortnite mobile is far from trash, I’ve played on the newest
iPad mini with my Xbox control virtually no different than playing on a switch. In fact I was actually able to run it at 60 FPS over the switches 30.

3. The beauty of Fortnite is its store and battle pass. You get a kid to download the game once, and you can easily get a couple hundred out of them over time. Even more so a reason to get your game out in front of as many people as possible.

@impurekind

1. Epic tried to cut Apple completely out of the loop with their new shop option, so that completely negates any mention of 12% when they tried to offer Apple 0.

2. Of course they can decide to take the 12% they’re the underdog in this story. Who would let Epic take 30% of their profits when their install base is minuscule compared to a company like steam? You can’t give a company props for charging less for a lesser product.

Re: Mario Kart Tour Update Adds Multiplayer Team Racing And Custom Matchmaking

@rockodoodle Yeah it probably could sell a ton in a short amount of time. I got MK8 launch day on the Wii U and I enjoyed the game until I realized how bad the online connection was years later. If they brought back a double dash mechanic for MK9 that would be my dream as I never really played double dash. I’m just worried Nintendo feels like they have to constantly innovate the game, when all I really want is a roster of fresh tracks and carts.

Re: Random: Hey LEGO, The Next Nintendo Set We'll Take Is Hyrule Castle From Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Nintendoforlife

@JSDude1 Meh if it’s anything like Lego Incredibles I’ll pass. Not sure if it’s just that game (the most recent I’ve played). But it seems as though Lego games have been tremendously dumbed down to the point where they are not nearly as fun. I remember Lego Indiana had some great puzzle moments, but Lego Incredibles quite literally holds your hand step by step as you go through the level.

Re: Chucklefish Issues Apology For Voice Actor Casting Choices In Wargroove's DLC

Nintendoforlife

@Kalmaro I’m curious why do you think that video game characters are even made different races? I am of the opinion that it’s done to differentiate the background of the characters and thus how they are in the present. If you have every single character regardless of race voiced by a white person where is the difference found? Your opinion would make more sense if every character was something abstract like blue or green. But they specifically asked their artists to draw a black character because they wanted a black character.

@AnnoyingFrenzy So essentially you are ok with selecting people purely based on race even in the face of a better performance when it comes to live-action.

Re: Chucklefish Issues Apology For Voice Actor Casting Choices In Wargroove's DLC

Nintendoforlife

@Kalmaro I never said it did. It seems illogical to hire someone of a different race to act as another. I do, however, agree with your points for pretty much any other job except for acting. Imagine they made a live action Overwatch movie and just casted who they thought was best regardless of race. Wouldn’t a White Sombra, Black Mei, and Hispanic tracer make you go “huh that’s kind of odd casting”???

Re: Epic Sues Another Fortnite Tester For Leaking Chapter 2

Nintendoforlife

@kukabuksilaks “it's not like Epic lost a ton of dollarinos on this, so they have a hole they desperately need to fill. There's a line, and it isn't thin, between what a resonable consequence is and ruining lifes for many years to come“

I mean if we’re going to use that argument, the “reasonable” thing would be to seek no zero damages at all. The player should just be banned from testing updates and/or banned from the game in general. Reasonable isn’t something that comes into play when it pertains to business and the player decided to test the limits of it clearly.

Re: Fortnite Finally Gets A Career Tab On Switch, But It Doesn't Do Anything

Nintendoforlife

@Heavyarms55 The amount of bias in this comment is astounding. Free to play games do inherently have a chance to go big, because of accessibility I agree with you there. Fortnite, however, has the gameplay mechanic of building that makes it unique from any other BR type game out there. Building also creates a large skill, a gap similar to Rocket League which keeps people coming back.

Combine those aspects with the arguably most responsive dev team currently in the industry, and you have a game that’s extremely addictive. Items are routinely implemented and removed to keep unused items out of the game. Bugs are identified and mostly taken care of within one to two updates.

Why you feel the need to put down a game that invokes fun for millions is the question you should be asking yourself.

Re: Hollow Knight: Gods & Glory Arrives On Switch August 23rd

Nintendoforlife

@Varkster The point you made in your post was how smart it was of Hollow Knight to release this DLC as free. And you ended it with a valid reason from a business stand point, for them to have not made it free. Basically you said “take note companies this is how it should be done”, and then confirmed the logic behind not doing like this.
