1. I wouldn't say it's overrated, I like level based games as much as the next guy. But you can't create the same feeling of immersion through level gameplay, as you can through Open-world in my opinion.
2. So what type of level system do you consider the "best" when it comes to Pokemon?
@RedMageLanakyn I'm not disagreeing with you on the fact limited map times are inefficient. What I am saying is Nintendo stating "we know how each game should be played", and then presenting two different play styles isn't ironic. It would be ironic if they stated a "certain" play style should always be used, then deviated from it.
@RedMageLanakyn Not sure what's ironic about it. He's stating Nintendo "knows" how their games should be enjoyed. With BOTW it should be enjoyed without any structure, you do whatever you want. When it comes to Splatoon 2 there should be some structure to it simple.
It's definitely a nice gesture from an extremely large company, props to them. Not sure why anyone would buy this over Minecraft due to the reviews though.
@denis09 Fair points, but I disagree on the whole "cheap way out" mindset. This game is identical to the Xbox and PS4 versions outside of FPS and maybe special effects. I'm not sure what could be more of a "proper port" if it's playable. Now with that being said EA did make a custom engine and get the FPS right. Is it the same game as you would find on the Xbox or PS4? No.
What you find makes a quality game is up to you, and apparently for sports game it's definitely FPS. But I wouldn't say what the FPS is determines whether it's cheap or not, considering every other part of the game is intact.
Ehhhh to put this in perspective NBA 2k13 on the Wii U was around 30 frames as well. It's shouldn't hinder your gameplay really at all. I believe 2k13 still has a demo on the Wii U eshop if anyone wants to see it first hand.
@BanjoPickles I was definitely exaggerating when I called it irrelevant, but my overall point still rings true. In terms of success a console is not judged on whether it gets BF1 or not. It's simply judged on how many units sold. Right now major third party support is......decent I guess, it could be a lot better. On the other hand this year we're getting NBA 2k, FIFA, Rocket League (and maybe WWE) not sure.
With all that being said the console is still the fastest selling in Nintendo's history. And as for the "five months" these months in particular are not considered a time when you unveil a console. I think the demand and want for the Switch is honestly understated, not sure why but it is. These record breaking sales come before Mario, Metroid, AC, POKEMON even get to the Switch. So I for one am completely confident 2 years from now the Switch will have reached extremely high sales.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE The Switch is Nintendo's fastest selling console without "major third party support" as you like to remind us day in and day out. So maybe just maybe third party support is.................irrelevant?
@Yorumi To be fair anything said about the possible outcome of this is an assumption or guess. There is nothing concrete so you can atleast concede that point to @MegaVel91. In my opinion from what's listed, the DLC doesn't look all to big at all. I don't see that much of a reason to doubt the content of the game at this point in time.
@MarioPhD Where is this superiority mindset coming from? They're simply saying they don't care enough to notice any dips in frame rates. It's no different than saying I don't really care enough about specs to build a computer rather than it being pre made.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Well, the bar is low when it comes to Sonic. Maybe when they rattle off 2-3 more decent games, then make an incredibly decent game it will reach 10 stars.
@NEStalgia To be fair this is one of the stupidest comments I've ever seen in my life. When has "lack of buttons" ever been a plausible excuse for excluding a console.
@MaSSiVeRiCaN Not necessarily I can see many people opting for the Switch for portability reasons. I've already seen many stories of people wanting to play a quick game with friends in the pub. It really comes down to whether you value the journey/physics or not.
@JarJarBlacks Thank You Some one gets it! There are cases where skills are in a game and they are overpowered. Which is sort of cheap if you use something that's unstoppable, but grabbing is easily countered. And the damage isn't all the great to be honest. To me learning how to grab effectively is the same as learning how to jump back to the stage in Smash.

Re: Overcooked: Special Edition Update Brings Silky-Smooth Framerate
A locked 30 FPS is perfectly fine for this game. It's great fun and I really can't name any times I noticed heavy stutters.

@Octane I've honestly never played a mainline pokemon game, but why is it that open world isn't wanted for a game like this?
Re: TT Games Listens and Gives LEGO Worlds on Switch a Nice New App Icon
@19wonders @sp_initiate-001 Fair enough, personally I'm geared more to the online capabilities Minecraft provides, but to each their own.
