With all the people being wary of the connections with DS, Geoff, Kojima and the fact the approval of DS is mixed, its gonna come down to Smash or RE2, with Smash ahead. Also, come to think of it, if RE2, a Capcom game, is up for GotY, then why didnt Capcom pay more for DMC5, the game people have been clamoring for, to be up for GotY? We would see here which game Capcom gave priority to with their money.

@SakuraHaruka also, I was able to recall that there are staff at Nintendo who were openly concerned about the move to mobile back then, likely with the mtx. Sakurai was even on record to state he is not a fan of the Fighter’s Pass deal, that he encourages to make your own purchases, as you see fit. Its stuff like these, that we should think that, yes, they are doing these things, but are they feeling the pain from those same concerns that are carried on to this date? I believe so.

Ive had this conversation when I first read it with my Discord buddies and it is to be said here... This is an underhanded attack at gaming and Fortnite is the opportunistic scapegoat. Addiction... we can do that with any game. Those saying “its against Fortnite, its all right” do not know what they are saying. Ends must not justify the means here. If legal precedence gets a hold of this, it can spell trouble for any other game they think its bad, while we gamers think its good.

A complete joke that has left a number of LGBT players I see/know shaking their heads in disbelief. “Inauthentic”, “random”, and so on are the words I hear to describe the debacle. The timing and execution of 76’s story regarding that was just wrong. Fanfiction writers would gladly put out the gayness ASAP, while the OW team took a couple of years for that. Lets face it, a brand new fighter who happens to be gay is a better job than 76 would ever be. Thus, I do agree with the dissent with Soldier 76.

What can you expect from the former Rare staff that is Playtonic Games? Im more than happy they put their noses to the grindstone and took what they learned from the first game into this title, like the vets they are. Glad to be one of the backers that supports the Yooka Laylee franchise.

Emotes dont make the cut against Mario Kart. If a Twitch sub deemed worthless is as valued the same as the Gold Pass yet the Pass has more content, then yeah, its a staggering big thing. Time to think if one your $5 monthly payments you pay anyway is really worth it these days, even if it doesnt end up getting the Gold Pass.

@Anti-Matter speaking of using other cultures to be inspired of in future Pokemon games, I wouldnt mind seeing like... regions based off of Italy, Greece, Australia, Brazil. I know there are more, but these stand out as unique, cream of the crop. Italy or Greece can play off of mythology, Australia can have a boost in Poison types, and Brazil can offer a jungle theme in the games.

When the SuMo games had shown that you were the Champion all along and you had to defend it... I had a feeling that Ash would rise up and become champ in the anime. Being the first ever champ in a region was really a nice innovative nod in the story. As such, I wouldnt doubt if Ash and Pikachu returns for the Galar region. The upcoming anime spanning all regions tells me its not the next step in the main series. I very much like to see how the Galar region is brought out with its atmosphere and gym leaders.

Im glad the future is secure with Mega Man. And it all began with the demand for Mega Man materialized in Smash (even tho Ryu first was Capcom’s idea) and everything else just went into motion.

The SNK fighting games were also ported to Genesis and SNES back in the day. Given that Nintendo is the sole survivor and top thriver of classical gaming, unlike Sega and SNK systems, some connections can be seen here as to why Terry had to come to Nintendo and Smash, but it does not stop there. I even read that Sakurai was inspired by King of Fighters to make Smash Bros. Yes, he played SNK fighting games before and was competent.

So the best way to describe this is its another Sakurai pick, like with Persona 5 Joker, but also has some historical connections.
