Re: Nintendo President Says "Most" US Switch Online Users Have Upgraded To The Expansion Pack

N1ntendodo

The big push behind this is the amount of people (more often casual than hardcore) who want to save money and they support it in any form… Its not even a idea formed within Nintendo, but by MS and its Game Pass and they dont even have a yearly plan yet. People want to go through these game sub plans in the face of creeping rising retail prices on games over the years. This is the answer towards against $100 retail new games in the future.
Also, I like this DLC Pass… because it puts certain DLC to scrutiny. Im looking at Pokemon right now with this.

Re: Soapbox: The Switch Online Expansion Pack Is Great Value – If You Love Animal Crossing

I cant help but see the Expansion Pack as an incomplete picture. $25 a year for this piece of AC DLC does not make sense at all, unless they plan to include more DLC even from other games. A Nintendo-wide DLC Pass is potential unexplored territory and something the game industry hasnt seen yet. Ive seen complaints about PS Plus games (yes even on PushSquare) and Game Pass titles having poor selections of monthly titles and are timed to go away and they get frustrated to the point where they want to choose a game elsewhere. But with this concept of a Nintendo DLC Pass in the Expansion Pack, you still get to choose where you get your games and pay a lower rate for DLC. Paying a flat rate of $25 a year for DLC in this manner is more enticing, because how much have we been paying for DLC these past several years? And even if its not worthy to you now, the selection would build up later so you can hold your $25 a year for later if you choose. As for the emulations, $5 a year is $5 a year. It couldve been worse than it already it is.

Re: Random: Epic Goes To War With Apple, Asks Players To "Join The Fight" And "Free Fortnite"

@Octane one problem with that, i hear there are so many antitrust investigations with Apple right now and this battle is only a part of the bigger picture. I recall some EU Commission person who is pretty much with the anti big tech company group who battles with Facebook and Google, the latter takes the same cut of revenue as Apple’s. Just focusing on Epic hate while there’s government investigations by US and EU over Apple’s shenanigans on these issues is not smart here.

Re: Nintendo's Mobile Business Is Here To Stay

N1ntendodo

This is what happens when you dont read through that linked Bloomberg article... They said they are gonna take a break from it for a while due to not having any mobile projects in the works rn and the bigger console success, which they will more focus now in these trying times. Also, they remember here what is Nintendo’s purpose in the mobile market, to bring smartphone users to their consoles.

Re: PlatinumGames Admits Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Had Nothing To Do With Raising Funds

It should be noted that backers of the W101 Remastered game will get their copies two weeks early from retail release, and yes, any DLC is free for backers. With 4 days remaining, if you had an eye on this game, you’re welcome to back this. Admittedly, we backers do need some help with a social media mission we are having trouble with... Its not the money thats the problem... its the amount of backers and anyone else on those social media missions. Kickstarter campaign ends on Friday noon Pacific.

Re: Sonic Movie Speeds Towards $65 Million In Its North American Opening Weekend

N1ntendodo

@LUIGITORNADO have you really seen the Sonic fanbase and how they treat their ships of characters? At least, they are open about it. No reverse campaigning needed on this side when it was never broken. This is likely an attack from non gamer haters who dont want to see a game movie one up their movie. Matter of fact, this is the stuff that politicians love, a really rather half hearted smear campaign with little research done over a movie backed by gamers and the franchise itself, which we are glad that they listened to us on the project before the release.

Re: Sonic Movie Speeds Towards $65 Million In Its North American Opening Weekend

Well deserved. Detective Pikachu had the work on the Sonic movie become woke and that Pokemon movie was a test movie in bringing Pokemon to real life, while the Sonic movie is a main event for the franchise. Now, having back to back good game movies feels great when they stay close to the source material as possible. With Miyamoto heading the Mario film, we gonna get it good.

Re: Rumour: Wonderful 101 On Switch Teased (Again) By PlatinumGames

N1ntendodo

I feel certain I’ll back them. Curious about what tiers they will be, but I’ll pay like its a regular game at least. Plus, we, as those who played W101, know what its like and we can testify the game’s strengths and weaknesses. I do not mind helping in giving the W101 the second wind it deserves, after the Wii U era. Cant wait for others to see what they missed out on, underrated gem it is.
