Re: Review: Final Fight 3 (New 3DS / SNES)

Before the turn of the century, my cousin and I beat it the same day we rented it. It had decent music and loved the extra fighting moves you can spam on your enemies. I know there were times where I was going, "Wait, wait! Don't break-- D'aww, you broke it! Now the bus won't come!"

Just finished this game last night. I like how it's very save-friendly! Plus, it's pretty much the epitome of trial and error. The game design was pretty good in teaching you the game without actually teaching you, which was one of the things that made Classic Mega Man and Metroid so awesome! The music is.... okay. There were some tracks that were LOADED with bass and some that were okay. The ambiance tracks were there. But there was this one area with a woman vocalizing that was grating on the ears!! I'll probably give it a second go-round down the road, but for now, I'm plowing through my Steam catalog.

Re: Anniversary: The Super Nintendo Is 25 Years Old Today

My most favorite classic system of all time, I loved my Super Nintendo like it was my best friend! From the unboxing on X-mas morning in '91 when I was merely 9 years old, to passing it on to my step-daughter, where it finally died after 17 years of awesomeness and wonder. I'm getting weepy-eyed just thinking about it!

It was also the first console where I started experimenting with recording audio and video. I used to plug the red and white RCA jacks into a stereo system and blast Mario, Zelda, R-Type, Super Metroid(though the audio was but a whisper), as well as an assortment of other games that I rented at the local video store.

One game, on which my cousin and I used to have HOURS of fun, was good ol' Super Mario Kart! During the racing part, we would help each other out to get first place until we got good enough to stand on our own. Then in battle mode, we would annihilate each other in what was one of the most fun battle games of it's time!

Thank you, Super Nintendo!

And Thank You, Nintendo, for making it all possible!

Edit: I have THOUSANDS of memories with this system, but I don't want to write a BOOK in the comments, he he!

I don't like it, but I completely understand. We ALL want Nintendo to succeed and become the awesome game company that they once was, but we(as fans) have to face the music and move on. It's Nintendo's IP, so they have full right to do what needs to be done. Did I play it? Yes. Did I enjoy it? F*** YES!! Am I mad about what Nintendo has done? Yeah, but I'll get over it. It's one of those things that the fans have to say, "Well, since we can't have any more good times on your system, we'll go somewhere else."

Me, I plan on buying a really good PC. I'm getting too old for this rollercoaster that Nintendo is doing...
