Re: Nintendo Hiring Splatoon 3 Level Designer To Renovate "Existing" Stages

@Noble_Haltmann @MS7000

Estimated Splatoon playtime 150 hours
Actual Splatoon 2 playtime 610 hours

This will due down to the WiiU not having as long a life span as Switch but the gameplay just feels better in the Switch version. The maps are incredible, the weapons are great and the entire game is just more polished than the WiiU game.

Just look at Fortnite, it survives with the same map for years with tiny changes every month or so. That has not hurt the game at all. Splatoon 3 will likely start with all new maps and then some of the old modified maps released into circulation every few months.

2022 seems like so long away (which it is).

Re: Nintendo Reveals Splatoon 3, Coming To Switch In 2022

I have been waiting for this announcement since 2019. It is the only online multiplayer game I play. I was watching this with my nephew and niece (ages 44 - 13 - 8). We all totally went mental when we realised what it was. I will be buying them both the game on release day without fail and my niece will still probably be able to destroy us both as she is a Splatoon master. I cannot believe we have to wait at least a year.

Too soon for no. 3? It cannot come soon enough IMHO.

Re: The State Of The Switch eShop Is "Heartbreaking" Says No More Robots Boss

@diwdiws But with over 6000 games on the eShop, it will be very difficult even with the best search features to find the games without knowing about them beforehand.

Things I would do if publishing a game

1) List it on the Coming Soon page. The sooner the better to get it out there.
2) At the very least, put a video on the eShop page of the game. A demo is even better but not always possible depending on what Nintendo charges to put demos on the eShop (if they do)
3) Send advance copies or codes for sites like this one to play the game. Just try and get exposure.

Nintendo has never had a good store front for its consoles so instead of complaining about them, get creative in getting the game out there.

I don't see it as Nintendo's job to promote every indie's game on the eShop as which do you choose out of the 20+ games that are released every week. If you chose one of the games of these two companies, you are then leaving the rest of them with no promotion.

How else do independent developers promote their games though? Can they release trailers on YouTube? There are not many (if any) Nintendo specific magazines out there anymore than can cover indie releases. Can NintendoLife do a weekly roundup (separate from the weekly release list)? It is a difficult time out there but I can't see an easy solution for a lot of them.

Been playing this today. It was like I got in a time machine but instead of playing on a small monitor in a corner of the office, was sat on the couch, playing on a big TV. One of the best FPS of all time and even today's graphical standards cannot dull the experience for someone who played it back in the day.

Annoyingly, I missed one secret in the first level and I am trying to find it without cheating and looking on YouTube.

Re: Nintendo President Says More Switch Games Are Scheduled For Current Period

There was practically no chance of BotW2 or Metroid being released this year even without lockdown anyway so they do not come as a shock. I was hoping for some news on Splatoon 3. I don't even care about delays as long as the finished products is of high quality. Look at Animal Crossing, that was delayed and people complained. Did it affect the sales when eventually released? More delays means I have more time to clear some backlog.

@sanderev Thank you, I will repost it again until people calm down (I know this is impossible)

This game does not currently support the ability to transfer your save file from one Nintendo Switch console to another. However, a function specific to Animal Crossing: New Horizons to move users and save data to another console is planned for later this year.

.... [Just as he was about to type 'Wow, a lot of complaining on this comments section', he realised two important points

1) There has just been a Nintendo Direct
2) This is a comments section

Now, you could remove one of the above points and there will still be complaining but both together multiplies it. Considering all these factors, and the fact that a comments section without complaints is like a boxing match without punches, he decides not to comment at all]...
