I was late back from work friday and did not have time to start the game. I started playing it Saturday morning, and it i was genuinely suprised at how refreshing this game is. I did not watch all of the trailers as i didn't want things being ruined.
I haven't smiled so much while playing anything in a long time.
The graphics are brilliant, i love the slightly isometric standings of the characters to see more of their expressions. Loads of new enemies keep it refreshing.
This has quickly become one of my favourite games and a worthy sequel to Super Mario World.
I stumbled across NintendoLife about 7-8 years ago.
Im always on here daily just to get the latest news and reviews.
Its a clean website and after Official Nintendo Magazine finished i am glad this website is here. The comments are 99% respectful unlike many other websites.
So many great memories. Years of playing games round a tiny TV with split screen.
Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Wave Race, 1080, Lylat Wars, Turok, WWF No Mercy.....
I'm so glad i have every game box after one point my mum wanted to throw them all out to save space but i packed them up for the loft.
Now i moved out afew months ago I have it set up on a 49inch 4K TV and had to buy another power supply on ebay, but not bad for 20 years.
Like everyone knows the increase in price is ridiculous and i always have a problem with a pre-order item getting delayed or not receiving it (Super Mario 3D World sleeve)
I have the Amiibo bundle on pre-order with Nintendo UK store.
Bowser JR is in the picture at the top! Thats the first i have seen of him in NES graphics. I didn't know he had been shown in Super Mario Maker and iv watched loads of videos and nearly all the e3 coverage.
I played Super Street Fighter II: Turbo Revival so much on my GBA.
For some reason its the only Street Fighter that you can use Guile's Sonic Boom and Flashkick without having to charge them. So i would use him all the time. When i normally never play as Guile as i can't get on with the charging of his moves.

Re: Nintendo Releasing Physical 'Talking Flower' From Mario Wonder Next Spring
I think this looks great.
Will definitely get one for the kitchen and see how long it takes for my wife to remove it!
Re: ICYMI: Here's A Look Inside Donkey Kong Bananza's Switch 2 Game Case
@jon128 I have done the same.
About 95% physical on the Switch.
Now going to go digital for Switch 2.
With 30 years of collections and limited space it was time.
I do really miss the physical Box and art you can hold though.
Re: Super Mario 3D All-Stars Updated To Version 1.1.3, "Improves Gameplay" On Switch 2
Randomly on Saturday I booted up Mario 64 and found out i had left my save file on 80 stars.
Spent a couple hours getting to 95.
Will update and see what differences there might be.

Re: 'Hatch Tales' Release Date Finally Revealed Six Years On

I too liked the Bird & Worm Combo. Along with the Original Hatch Tales logo.
Had a mix of Banjo-Kazooie with the Sonic 2 logo.

I saw this while scrolling the eshop on Friday. Read up about the creator and his dog. The game sounded good.
I ordered it off Amazon UK. It is priced £22.95 for physical edition.
When the eshop is priced at £26.99.
Played the first 3 stages so far. Love the graphics, music and characters.
Re: Flipnote Archive Launches, Showcasing 44 Million Flipnotes From DSi Era

Re: Talking Point: Where Does The Switch OLED Announcement Leave The Rumoured Switch Pro?
I think the Switch "Pro" will be late next year.
Having the Switch OLED being the "original" Switch phasing out the standard one in the future.
With the 3 versions being left;
Lite
OLED
Pro
Re: House Of The Dead: Remake Shoots To Switch Later This Year
I have House of the Dead 2 & 3 and Overkill. I never did complete 2 & 3 though.
Will be getting this as i have never played it before and it looks great.
I never did understand why there wasn't a Time Crisis Collection on the Wii? I think that would have sold really well.
Re: Video: Listen To The London Philharmonic's Super Mario Medley From Abbey Road
Brilliant.
All the years playing Nintendo games growing up, my mum would comment on how good the music is.
Re: Original Bit.Trip Games Confirmed For Switch Via Surprise eShop Listing
@riggah
I did the exact same thing apart from the physical collection on Wii.
Would have been great having all these for a physical release on Switch.

Re: E3 Reportedly Set To Be Rebranded As A "Fan, Media And Influencer Festival" Next Year
So glad Nintendo do Directs. Which i can watch at home happily.

Also, i feel like a really old 30. As i only heard the term "influencer" last week. Then rolled my eyes................

Re: Deals: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Starter Pack Drops To A Ridiculous £10.99 In The UK
@Precinct1313
Thanks for the reply.
Okay, i will give it a go.
Iv just got a £10 Argos card for £5 on groupon. £5.99 aint bad!
Re: Deals: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Starter Pack Drops To A Ridiculous £10.99 In The UK
Is it correct that the digital version you can play without the toys on the controller.
But the physical version makes you use the toys on the controller?
If you can play 100% without the toys i would buy it.
Re: Nintendo Hosts Huge Summer Sale, Up To 70% Off Over 180 Games On Switch And 3DS (Europe)
RESIDENT EVIL 4!
Re: Banjo-Kazooie Switch Listing Appears On Amazon Germany, But We Wouldn't Count On It
Nintendo has made a start with making the characters and spiral mountain level.

Re: Limited Run Games' Yooka-Laylee Collector's Edition Available To Pre-Order On 7th September
I am abit annoyed that i was a Kickstarter backer at the same tier level as the 64-bit tier. (i got a signed poster)
But i won't get a discount on the collectors edition. But the 64- bit backers will.
Been waiting so long for this though, can't wait.
Re: Nintendo Download: 9th August (Europe)
@cmk8 This does get really annoying.
I rarely buy things digitally on the day it comes out. But i did with Bomb Chicken thinking it wouldn't go on sale for ages.
Under a month later and 40% off.
Looks like il be back to not buying on day of release.
Re: Bandai Namco Wants To Release More Of Its Games On The Nintendo Switch
I have allways wanted Time Crisis on the Wii.
Thought it would have been an easy collection to port over.
Miss playing them at the arcades.
Re: Sonic Mania Plus Becomes The Highest-Rated Sonic Game In 25 Years
Well deserved.
Loved playing through Sonic Mania last year. Reminded me of playing 1,2 and 3 on the Mega Drive when i was growing up.
I have only played through the first level of PLUS though. The physical edition is really nice to have.

Looks fantastic.
Picking this up from Smyths tomorrow, got it for £35. Seems well worth the money.
Re: Today Marks The Third Anniversary Of Beloved Nintendo President Satoru Iwata's Passing
RIP Mr Iwata.
Loved getting to see him through the Nintendo Directs and being just a "normal" guy. Not a corporate suit.
One of the best things Nintendo has done (with the directs) so we get to see the personalities that are making the decisions.
Re: Pre-Orders For Banjo-Kazooie Statue By First 4 Figures Can Be Validated On 10th July
I love Banjo Kazooie and the statue looks great. Especially the mini jiggy and note.
But it is so big.
I have the First4figures 2 mario statues and 2 of the sonic statues that are all a better size to display.
I am worried on missing out on a Banjo Kazooie statue. But i have no idea where to display it.
Re: Kickstarter For The Sega Master System Visual Compendium Is Now Live

Instantly fell in love with hole in one.
So simple but fun.
Re: Hardware Classics: Nintendo 64
I love the N64.

Goldeneye, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Wave Race, 1080, Lylat Wars, Turok, WWF No Mercy.....

Really annoying.
Re: European Club Nintendo Has a Lovely Last Hurrah With the Nintendo Sound Selection Double CD

A shame now i have 200 stars that can only be used for wallpaper or ringtones.
Re: Shovel Knight amiibo Pre-Orders Open in the UK and Australia
Il wait for the Nintendo UK store to pre-order.
Like everyone knows the increase in price is ridiculous and i always have a problem with a pre-order item getting delayed or not receiving it (Super Mario 3D World sleeve)
Only use GAME as a last resort.
Re: Rare's Gregg Mayles Shows Off The Scribbled Origins Of Banjo-Kazooie
Really love Banjo Kazooie.
I would love there to be a collectors art book with all these scraps of early ideas. And making of.
