Solid stuff from Nintendo, especially for a doomed console!

I cat believe how bad the Xbox figures are. I mean, they are so so bad. Xbox wanted to change the way people game and said it was about gaming on anything - well that’s the case - gaming on everything except an Xbox it seems.

What an absolute disasterclass.

I only hope we get some more games on Switch 2 - Am longing for Forza on the go!

I was overjoyed to read the sensible letter, full of common sense about Nintendo and greed. Some of the social media comments about greed, I get to a point, but the don’t consider anything from a business point of view.

Nintendo are offering joy. Is it cheap? No?

The idea that Nintendo are greedy is blown out of all proportion

@Liam_Doolan You have a plenty of experience with Nintendo and I wondered if you think COD is impossible to expect on Switch 2? Personally I thinks it’s more capable than many give it credit for.

CP20277, AC Shadows, Fast Fusion, updates to APEX Legends even, all show that the Switch 2 is more than capable of running something like COD. Will there be concessions such as some removals of NPC ‘s? Of course there will.

But to say outright it’s not possible is just not the case. The games that haven’t worked as ports, haven’t been down to the hardware, they have been down to lazy devs not optimising a game for the hardware. And that’s 2 different things.

I don’t think we will see many COD games as I still believe that part of the deal was just a way for getting it through - and it’s hardly been a success - so I’m not going to get too overexcited but it can be done with the right time and effort.

If I really want to play COD right now, then I’ll just grab a bit of time on it through GEForce Now although Black Ops 7 isn’t really worth wasting much time on.

Anyway - back to Xmas!!!

@KazooieTooie Why not? The system is more powerful than you think. It’s down to the devs to make the most of it.

Can see this being Warzone. And I also wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the only COD we see on Switch 2. I think the deal they made was pretty ambiguous and didn’t say how many games it had to be so just one ongoing game would potentially fulfil the deal.

@Olliemar28 I’ve sent a message to Bethesda telling them it’s lazy and unacceptable what they have produced! They won’t reply as they never do. But I fear we are going to see this a lot with Nintendo switch 2 ports.

@MamaSymphonia different countries. PS5 and Sony are doing fine. Xbox might be worrying - they got outsold by something no one has heard of.

Why are we getting so many Switch 2 games with such bad performance??? Surely these devs need taking to task because it’s sheer laziness.

Yep!!! Love this game and will hopefully be great to have a proper racer if the port is good!

@Omarzy This is nothing like the Wii U. It’s clear that this a sequel console. It’s 6 months old. You sound like the Switch 2 has been on sale for years .
Nintendo were always going to play things safe with the Switch 2 because of the original switch user base - that’s why we are seeing upgrades a lot of the time - this isn’t different to what PlayStation did with the PS4 to PS5 initially - for 18 months to 2 years at least.
6 months in and over 10 million sales being called a failure is utterly bonkers.

The Switch didn’t hit its stride until 2 and a half years!!!!!!

PS5 sold more due to Black Friday discounts which were huge.

The original Avatar film was about migration with blue people. It was a centuries old film with a centuries old script. It was awful and how it won any awards will forever remain a mystery: the games are worse.

Some great looking games and I truly believe that that there is so much more to come and no reason we shouldn’t expect some brilliant ports in the next few years.

The only bad ports have been down to the developers and not the hardware.

@AlanaHagues thanks for the news and oh my word!!!! I got this so long ago and never really sat down to play it due to backlog. Now after an hour….. OMG!!!!! Brilliant!

@JimNorman Hi. I might be being ignorant, but why do we not see combined charts? It seems weird in this digital age to not have combined physical and digital charts. Surely that would reflect the real sales across the industry?

I was hoping, actually expecting that most games would be confirmed for Switch 2 at the same time as others but that seems to be not the case. Which is concerning.

I thought switch 2 games announcement wise it was a very disappointing night indeed. Nothing really stood out very much and I was expecting some big third party hitters to be announced - Forza for example.

Bit of a safe one this

Looks cool and I loved T2 on the mega drive. Seems incredibly overpriced though

Clair 100% deserves all of the accolade, it really does. I’m playing through it at the minute and it’s a truly superb game. Would be easily portable to Switch 2 as well so hope we see that soon.

Overall though, in terms of game reveals and Switch 2, I’ve come away very disappointed. Was hoping to hear much more about new games and the likes of Forza, NHL getting Switch 2 releases in 2026. Felt like a lot of games were announced and a hell if a lot of them aren’t coming to Switch 2.

@The_Nintendo_Expat How is the Switch 2 a bad thing? When PS5 came out, it had remasters and upgrades galore and there was none of this at all.
Switch 2 is what people asked for - a more powerful Switch and that is exactly what it is.

It’s 6 months and they have taken a safe approach because they know they have such a massive OG Switch user base.

I’m not sure what is bad?

For a failure of a console - Switch 2 is doing not too shabby eh?
