It's kinda sad that there wasn't an epic FiM game made by WayForward. Matt Bozon has expressed he and his team were fans of FiM. It would be awesome to see how would they shape Equestria to their vision. And see which of their characters would appear as ponies. Pony Shantae, anyone?

Bronies are still around, but they peaked a long time ago. There are some that are adamant about the fifth generation, especially after the movie's ending. All this despite the direct connection with the previous and beloved generation.

1) Princess Fjorm: she has gotten a lot of attention from IS with a skill remix, a cute recap video of her story in Heroes, a short music video, and is the main figure in the recent Tempest Trials events. Plus on not being a lord, and she fight using an ice lance.
2) Anna. Specifically, Commander Anna from Heroes. Not a lord, fights with an axe, and is the definitive mascot of Fire Emblem. Her Final Smash could be her calling her "sisters" with the help of the Summoner, to dish damage to everyone on the field.
I bought this with the intention of doing Twitch streaming. Sure, I will need to invest on a PC and an Internet connection. And that's just the start. Setting a streaming space is another step.
Either way, further research will be needed to successfully start this. I plan for multiple subject channel. It will be gaming first, but would like to chat on the struggles of life of a neurodiverse person living in Puerto Rico, among other stuff. I don't have the physique (nor am I of the proper gender) to even consider a pool or hot tub chat.
When I got my hands on Sm4sh, I had to make space on my Wii U's hard drive. Since there's a possibility of me buying more games in the future, some external storage would be great for me. Since flash memory sticks have quite the capacity now, would that be the safe and inexpensive way to expand storage? I don't feel the need for big drives, but I don't know what will the Wii U recognize in size and/or by device in this day and age.
Here's an idea: a Mario Kart anthology of sorts. The best tracks from across the series, with all the veteran racers, but not the "filler" characters.
Do we really need four different Marios and Peaches? The alts as skins, like they did with Link and the Inklings, and the babies away. The Koopalings can be used as Bowser, Jr skins, like in Smash.
And how about some tracks and power-ups from the arcade and mobile Mario Kart games? Get Pac-Man in the roster while they're at it.
Yeah, the Fey family knows a thing or two about channeling. To the point of altering their bodies to "fit" the ghost inside them.
For Maya to do so is understandable, but seeing her little cousin go from "innocent loli" to "big tiddy onee-san" was a shocker for certainly almost everyone.
Still need to complete the trilogy on my New 3DS, which needs to be replaced soon.
I really get why the image of the rising sun would be removed entirely. It was something bought into concern for those that were planning on making faithful cosplays of characters from Kimetsu no Yaiba.
But leaving the wall so empty? A simple sun would make the wall faithful to the original design without being of offense for those that were affected by the actions of Imperial Japan.
And people should really learn to differentiate the Buddhist manji from the Nazi swastika. The swastika is a mirrored manji, at many times rotated 45°. It should be noted that the Wolfenstein games have you fighting Nazis, except in the German versions, we're anything Nazi is banned by law.
Lastly, a General Lee car without the Confederate flag isn't a General Lee. For pop culture references, that's the only acceptable use of the flag. Otherwise, it's considered a hate symbol.
Consoles as young as the Dreamcast would yellow with time. Maybe it's UV degradation that's more noticeable in lighter colored plastics due to the inherent characteristics of its formulation.
But any of the causes for such color change is possible, and many people like to restore their appearance.
This is how I want the TCG video game be like. Place a card, a Pokémon appears. Trainer cards play different animations according to their art and effect.
Like the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, manga, and 3D games, but with Pokémon.
We've been waiting for 3000 years for such game. Pokémon Snap fans just had to wait for 84.
The great thing of the original GBC games is that the spinoff is from a world outside Pokémon while having its essence.
I've always wanted the Pokémon TCG video game version to be played out like if it were an augmented reality like in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and games. It would be ambitious to animate so many Trainer Card art. Even turning the battlefield according to certain arena cards (forgive my lingo).
And since some Base Set cards are being reprinted in their original form, which have been powercrept so long ago (remember back when 120 HP was enough to tank and 100 was the max base damage you can deal), a story mode where you start with the older sets of cards and gain access to later expansions and rules would be a great concept.
It's ambitious to do such a project, but if Konami can do it, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company can do it, as well.
This, and an expanded remake of Colosseum and XD updated to the Gen 8 meta that pushes the Switch's capabilities is what I want to see happen.
Nintendo being too busy spending money issuing petty C&Ds and copyright strikes on not-for-profit fan projects and events, and doing terrible PR around it, they lost their focus on what's important: grammar.
Satoru Iwata wouldn't be pleased with how Corporate Nintendo is acting right now.
@Ogbert, I'm not saying that's their goal. I'm aware that Australia has its share of invasive species, some introduced as problem solvers that became problems themselves, like the cane toad.
But this is a government agency that made a check for imported food goods. You think that they will let banned products pass through because it's not in their jurisdiction?
People will look for a roundabout to smuggle stuff in.
Australia recently put a ban on hentai and hentai related products because "child exploitation". I know they mean good, but putting a ban because of trash shows like "Eromanga Sensei" and great shows like "Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" is nuts, considering the mastermind of this ban is a delusional man that reads too much into anime, thinking that kids is the main audience.
They were probably looking, not for rice, but for some smuggled doujins and onaholes.
I understand that this is the last mainline-style spinoff Genius Sonority developed before getting sent to the backseat as a puzzle game developer.
Don't get me wrong. The Pokémon puzzle games GS has made were good. But when you consider that the team was formed by former Square Enix members that helped in developing Final Fantasy games, one must wonder if SwSh would have ended up an aesthetically different kind of game than what it is today. The Let's Go and SwSh games felt like they where coding exercises that didn't really push the limits of the Switch, and the Let's Go games looked prettier.
If there's gonna be remasters of Mario games, they should be based on their latest release versions. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, the Advance versions of SMB2, SMB3, SMW, and Yoshi' Island has added content and fixes given to the games. And the remaster of Super Mario 64 should be based on the DS version. It's the superior version, despite the inferior controls.
And Nintendo teaming up with Square Enix for a full remaster of Super Mario RPG, would be legendary, especially if that means a sequel will happen to expand that universe.
The next Mario Kart should have all the veterans present, and some new characters from the Mario universe and it's spinoff branches. And add Kirby in it. Remember the Rosalina Sm4sh reveal trailer?
NO FILLERS!!!
IF there has to be filler characters, have them as a costume/pallete swap option, like they did with Link and the Inklings. And the Koopalings should be treated as they were in Smash.
When I found out Melony was Shield exclusive, I kinda regretted getting Sword. Woman is gorgeous and Wicke-dly THICC.
With that out, I took a good look at the art, then saw the note noting about her ring. Which meant one thing, which was confirmed in the sketch of her with her husband Gordie with her four children.
Pokémon's one true family. I love this.
And the other character concepts are great. I loved how they showed young Opal and Kapu.
Since I barely scratched my playthrough, I can't wait to meet them all.
I think people still don't get that Game Freak is still in "experimental" mode regarding development on the Switch. Sure, if Iwata were still alive, there might be a push towards reaching the limits the Switch is capable of. Two full Pokémon games will probably have GF ready to take it to the real next level. That's in regard to recycled assets from the 3RD games.
As for Dexit, I still want a high def pic of the old Pokémon that are available, and which are not. I'm pretty sure some of my favorite lines will be out, but one shouldn't be that salty to the point of hate because of that. I know that this isn't like Black/White, since you get access to your old Pokémon after you beat the game the first time.
People tend to fear change, and this is no exception. They just want to play it safe with their old Pokémon teams and strategies instead of coming with new ones with what the game gives you. Or they simply want to breeze by with their team of perfect nature, perfect IV, perfect moveset, Hidden Ability, shiny Lv. 100 monsters.
They want to be the very best like no one ever was, at any cost.
Since I'm more casual than competitive, I know that I will enjoy what this game will offer, without thinking too much of what it leaves out. My only disappointment is that GF failed in making Galarian Rapidash an alicorn. I really wanted a Princess Celestia Pokémon.
@locky-mavo, I'd love it if they bring Peach Beach Splash to Switch, especially if it were the Definitive Version with all the DLC included. My waifu Super Sonico is a DLC character in that game.
This sounds like it would no longer be available. But it seems the words are just misleading.
I do admit that I prefer physical over digital, but the price is tempting. Is there even a physical version available or soon to be? Should I go digital or wait for physical?
If he were still alive, he'd be with great joy for how great his last "child", the Nintendo Switch, has gone. On the other hand, he'd be working with his baby after giving a reprimand to Game Freak (followed by Miyamoto's "table flip") and give a little help to make Sword/Shield better than what we've seen so far, like the work he did for GSC. Most probably.
That being said, few people give out vibes that make me say he or she is a genuine kind person. Iwata is one of them. Reading how his friends miss him brings sadness to me, even if I don't show much of it (I'm in the autism spectrum).
@McDerbert: If the gameplay leaked in the Apple Arcade presentation is to be taken as is, WayForward is going back to pixel graphics, and not hand-drawn animation.
@Yosher, pallete swapping, like what they do with Link and the Inklings? Not a bad idea. It can even be done with Bowser, Jr. and the Koopalings like it's been done in Smash.
Great idea, since I like the idea of a roster full of veterans, but it would be oversaturated, even by Mario Kart standards.
I read many comments about having ALL the characters in the next big Mario Kart. Do we really need them ALL?
The Koopalings could stay, but the babies? There are too many filler characters, like Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. Could care less for Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach. Bring the likes of ROB and Funky Kong.
@XavierIser, @Fandabidozi, I'm aware of the existence of that version.
What I meant is a Switch-exclusive with the concept of the ones released on GBC. With all the regular cast and new characters. Maybe some from the mainline games as cameos.
And the card collection available must be everything, from tweaked versions of the classics, to the latest from recent expansions. You'll start the adventure with a library of cards considered "obsolete" by today's game standards, and you get access to newer cards as you progressed. Even have access to Japan-only cards you can play with or add to your virtual collection.
Many here wants a proper follow-up to the GBC game. And I want one, as well. If many TCG, real and digital are getting grandoise treatment, why not the Pokémon card game?
Don't really care for Stage Builder. I rather have them whatever stages are missing.
Home Run Contest I can take. Break the Targets, as long as it's an individual stage for every character, and not the one stage for all in Brawl or "Angry Birds" in 4, I will take. Board the Platforms with individual stages each chatacter I must have.
It would probably be hilarious to see reactions from SJWs offended by Zero Suit Samus' blue and orange alternate costumes hear that the artist that brought those designs to reality was fired by Sakurai himself...
Only to later find out said artist was actually a woman.
Many talk about a remake in line with the GBC version for the Switch, and I think it's a great idea.
What would make it even better is if such game were made in a really grand scale, where every card (and I mean EVERY card) were made available, even those only available in the two GBA games in digital form. Mind you, with many of yesteryear's favorite cards with updated text to fit the current format. There are so many pieces of art many outside of Japan haven't seen or played with.
That, and presenting the playfield with the Active Pokémon as if rendered by AR, and customizable player character, and we might have a winner of a digita trading card game, especially on Switch.
I currently own Melee and Sm4sh 3DS, although I haven't touched them in a long time. I'd like to download the N64 original to my Wii U. Also buy Brawl and Sm4sh Wii U to play them in their original and modded forms. I would've gotten Ultimate if the European-only Limited Edition bundle with GCN controller and adapter where available in the Americas.
Rant aside, the Smash series has never disappointed me, and many memories have been made through the years. I can't wait to play Ultimate in one way or another.
IIRC, something like this happened with Halo 4. It seems that one of Microsoft's factories here in Puerto Rico had shady people within the building distributing copies way before launch. I recall the news, because the FBI was involved in the arrest of the suspects.
Whoever connects online with Smash in play would probably end up with a bricked Switch. Of course, people aren't that stupid.
Known of this game series for a while. And I recognize some of the names of the featured anime of this particular game, despite having watching a few, and not completely.
Was interested in this game, until I didn't see "Darling in the Franxx" included. No buy. Nah, j/k. May give it a try, if I decide to do so.
I do want a comprehensive list of series featured in the games. I know "Gurren Lagann" and "Code Geass" was featured in past games, iirc.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall that while Lumines was being developed for PSP, Meteos was being developed for the DS. Both where developed by the same studio, and, somehow, business partners and BFFs Satoru Iwata and Masahiro Sakurai where involved in the project.
I remember a Nintendo Power article about Meteos, specifically. I still have it, but too lazy to check on it. Also remember other magazines making the Lumines/Meteos connection. Q Studios was the developer, IIRC.
Please, not the Chorus Kids. They are Assist Trophy material, at the most. If any Rhythm Heaven character deserves a spot in the roster, it is Karate Joe (Jr.).
Isaac I approve (despite not trying a GS game), Banjo and Kazooie I approve (because I have played the N64 games), Ken and Shadow, because "why not?". And definitely Mach Rider (because I was yesterday years old when I found out that Mach Rider IS. A. WOMAN.)
I wish Geno and Shantae were already confirmed.
But whatever the roster will ultimately be (pun intended), it's going to be a fantastic game. I can barely wait.
Co-developed by Cygames. Just noticed that, and that studio is behind the horsegirl racing and idol management app Uma Musume, and producers of the anime of the same title.
This means one of two things: Westerners could get a release of Uma Musume, or...
So the Let's Go games are a stripped down Yellow with Go elements?
I don't mind the lack of EV/IV natures. Only Trainer battles are a bit worrisome.
And just the original 151 monsters? I know that it's kinda for nostalgia's sake, but you're telling me that, for example, I can only get Electabuzz, yet not Elekid nor Electivire? Many first gen monsters got a pre-evolved form and an evolved form from G2 forward. I mean, Eevee, star of one of the version, will only have access to three of its eight evolutions. Yes, I get that getting these forms are complicated than just the three we originally had in the beginning, but it can very well be an option to whether evolve them or not. Or they can just appear in the wild.
And before you say: "But the Alolan forms...", I say that it's not the same as an evolution. It's not the same.

If it's gonna be a Fire Emblem character, it's one of two choices:
1) Princess Fjorm: she has gotten a lot of attention from IS with a skill remix, a cute recap video of her story in Heroes, a short music video, and is the main figure in the recent Tempest Trials events. Plus on not being a lord, and she fight using an ice lance.
2) Anna. Specifically, Commander Anna from Heroes. Not a lord, fights with an axe, and is the definitive mascot of Fire Emblem. Her Final Smash could be her calling her "sisters" with the help of the Summoner, to dish damage to everyone on the field.

Re: Feature: What's Your Most Treasured Club Nintendo Possession?
It's not much, actually, but I can say that it is quite authentic Japanese. It's a Mario-themed hand fan.
It has been used on occasion, but it is kept in its cloth case.
Not a lot of stuff was available for the Americas, but the fan is one of my more unique possessions.

Re: Studio Trigger Is Handling The Opening Animation For Shantae 5
@McDerbert: If the gameplay leaked in the Apple Arcade presentation is to be taken as is, WayForward is going back to pixel graphics, and not hand-drawn animation.
Re: These Custom Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tracks Have Us Dreaming Of A Future Track Creator
Re: These Custom Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tracks Have Us Dreaming Of A Future Track Creator
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution Physical Edition Confirmed
Re: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution Physical Edition Confirmed
Good. Good for the community.
Now, where's my Pokémon TCG video game?
Re: Metagal Brings Old School 2D Platforming To Switch This Friday
I just hope it's better and more polished than Mighty No. 9.
Re: Rumour: Home Run Contest And Stage Builder Returning To Super Smash Bros.
Re: The English Translation of Super Mario RPG Cut Many Japanese Pop References
@edhe
It would probably be hilarious to see reactions from SJWs offended by Zero Suit Samus' blue and orange alternate costumes hear that the artist that brought those designs to reality was fired by Sakurai himself...
Only to later find out said artist was actually a woman.

Re: Talking Point: The Pokémon Trading Card Game Is In Desperate Need of An Evolution
Re: Smash Ultimate Nearly Featured Decidueye Rather Than Incineroar, Lack Of ARMS Fighters Explained
I was really expecting Decidueye would made the cut, but I can take Incineroar, since he just has the personality.
For an interesting Grass-type representative, Sceptile would've fit the bill nicely.
Re: Masahiro Sakurai Thanks Fans For Playing The Super Smash Bros. Series Over The Past 20 Years
I currently own Melee and Sm4sh 3DS, although I haven't touched them in a long time.
Re: People Claim To Already Have Copies Of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Are they?
Re: Bandai Namco Announces Super Robot Wars T For Switch, Included Anime Franchises Revealed
Re: Lumines Remastered On Switch Is The Best-Selling Version Of The Game
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I recall that while Lumines was being developed for PSP, Meteos was being developed for the DS. Both where developed by the same studio, and, somehow, business partners and BFFs Satoru Iwata and Masahiro Sakurai where involved in the project.
I remember a Nintendo Power article about Meteos, specifically. I still have it, but too lazy to check on it. Also remember other magazines making the Lumines/Meteos connection. Q Studios was the developer, IIRC.
Re: Rumour: Unannounced Characters For Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Have Possibly Been Leaked
Re: Review: Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Owltimate Edition - Still A Real Hoot Five Years On
It was released on Wii U in physical form labeled as the "Director's Cut". You'll see the "Directowl" label in-game.
And I'm with the consensus: pretty visuals, meh everything else. Will get back at it when I get the chance.
Re: Pre-Register For Nintendo's Mobile Game Dragalia Lost And Receive A Special Gift
Co-developed by Cygames. Just noticed that, and that studio is behind the horsegirl racing and idol management app Uma Musume, and producers of the anime of the same title.
This means one of two things: Westerners could get a release of Uma Musume, or...
Special Weekend for Smash confirmed.
Re: Nintendo Airing Special Mobile Direct Broadcast For New Game Dragalia Lost
Guys, I just noticed that not only is this game co-developed by Cygames, but that Nintendo bought the studio, as well.
Cygames is responsible for the Uma Musume mobile game and they produced the anime of the same name.
That means one of two things: either Westerners will get the horsegirl racing and idol management app, or...
Special Weekend for Smash confirmed!
Re: Saucy Brawler Skullgirls 2nd Encore Is Coming To Nintendo Switch
So, if Skullgirls is coming to Switch, is there a chance that the same can happen to Them's Fightin' Herds?
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Make Of The Three Big Pokémon Games Coming To Nintendo Switch?
