Re: Eiji Aonuma Explains Why Zelda's Gameplay Takes Priority Over Story

@electrolite77 and I'm not saying it's a bad thing. Like - I play games to play them. If there is too much focus on a good story, it means they didn't focus on other things that I would probably prefer they focus on.
Fromsoftware has the right blend.
That being said - some games have pulled it off, but that's also usually because the gameplay mechanics were already hammered home - so they could focus their energy on the story. Like final fantasy tactics. They had a unicorn making the game and tactics ogre laid out the framework.
if you need to pump out a product, you can't just rely on the fact that good stories are lying around. they have to be curated.

@Gaymer90 there are more ways to tell a story than just a movie. and yeah a couple of outliers exist in the entire history of video games but mostly - like 99% of games - even the ones people say have a good story - I'm sorry to tell you. The stories just aren't good most of the time. If they were good at writing, they wouldn't be making video games. They would be making movie scripts, tv shows or writing books.

these things are ESSENTIAL for anyone who plays classic games.
I have the mclassic and the mcable
they are awesome
10/10
gamecube games at 1440p (with a wii and a wii to hdmi)
ps2 games at 1440p (with a ps2 to hdmi)
wii u and ps3 games look clearer
blu ray movies look almost 4k.
(I do not work for them)
