It wouldn't called Nintendo Direct if there's no upcoming Wii U later but Paper Mario Color Splash & Breath of the Wild. NX will happen next year, but they won't announce until Nintendo say so.

My thought is

-Fire Emblem Fates DLC map about the festival event.
-Mario Party Star Rush detail.
-Of course, Pokemon Sun and Moon detail.
-Last 3 Smash Bros. Amiibo. Maybe for other functional use of those for later games.

Hope it's better than Sonic Boom series game. A good new Sonic game would help us like the similarity of Sonic Adventure kind of gameplay. And speaking of Sonic, how about Sonic Amiibo compatibility game(s) besides Olympic Games? Out of all Sonic games, Sonic Adventure (DX: Director's Cut) is my favorite.

I started to be a fan of Sonic when I first played Sonic CD for PC around year '96. I couldn't clear the game, but I dig the songs. I wanted to own video game console like Genesis, but my parents think I'm too young to play. Slowly I become interested of playing Nintendo games thanks to Super Smash Bros., so I had N64 console for Christmas of 1999. I utterly think Sonic game is gonna be in N64 game. Years later, I got GameCube for Christmas of 2002, still didn't get Sonic game. Until I see Sonic Adventure 2 Battle released in Nintendo Gamecube, so I immediately grabbed that from Blockbuster to rent and later bought it from Walmart. And as it goes by, I played many Sonic games after that time and I'll never forget playing Sonic Mega Collection and Gem Collection to experience the masterpieces. That's how I become Sonic fan. Hopefully SEGA will give a proper homage to the icon after 25 years.

I swear if I see Paper Mario remake for 3DS, I'm buying it. I hope it is an Amiibo compatibility with new Paper Mario Amiibo and other Mario series characters. Maybe extra quest after bring Peach's Castle down from the Bowser's floating castle, like Thousand-Year Door after the end. Some different badges than original N64. Pit of 100 Trail if possible. What else? What do you think?

Starting with new fighter, Corrin/Kamui from Fire Emblem Fates/if, personally for me I have no problem that another Fire Emblem character has been added in Smash and if people think it is bad idea because it's too much of representation of such RPG game, I don't care. Fire Emblem is very popular in gameplay period. And it's very considerate to Sakurai to have Corrin scheduled next year of February, the same month as Fire Emblem Fates releasing in US.

For Cloud, I think it's a good idea adding Square Enix's icon to Smash. When I see his trailer, I was flabbergasted and I haven't thought of another 3rd party character. In my opinion, adding a good 3rd party character is a good thing (could've been Konami's Goemon and Sega's Phantasy Star character, Alis). You can kill me cause I never played FF7 in PS1. I've heard and seen Cloud from Advent Children and Kingdom Heart before the trailer.

The Mii Fighter costumes kind of interest me a bit. Geno costume surprised me. I bought the entire costumes and hat, so it's good to hear that it's gonna be a final wave on around February. My brother hated it cause he wants Tails and Knuckles to be a fighter.

And finally, it's hard to believe that Sakurai announced the final fighter like Bayonetta. I have never played Bayonetta before, but it was unexpected that she's a #1 worldwide pick of Smash Ballot. Although I understand by among realizable character, but I didn't vote for her. Still, I have no complaint that she's a new fighter. Majority is majority. Her move sets are very complex, so I gotta practice after I get her.

I'm willing to get all Amiibo starting with Lucas and the rest. I've been collecting ever since. R.O.B. Famicom color announcement is the last thing I could hear about cause many people bought it imported even I did. So why not announce earlier before we get it? From Cloud to Bayonetta Amiibo, I'm very curious about when will it come out, perhaps next year of summer/fall.

It was an emotional ending after Sakurai and his developers putting their hearts on all the Super Smash Bros. fan to enjoy playing it. I'm very grateful for them even from Smash Bros (64), my first N64 game in fact. I hope he'll have a long vacation with his staffs and make another game. Not sure if he's willing to make another Smash Bros game, but I think it's impossible. That's all I can say though and I hope I can get the final wave next February and the rest of the Amiibo starting from Lucas.
