As many fans are no doubt aware, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 is due to launch later this month. The action platformer looks set to deliver a worthy follow up to the excellent Azure Striker Gunvolt, and those who haven't played the original will have an opportunity to pick both up physically with the Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack. Unfortunately, it looks as though the dual pack will be a bit late.
Yacht Club Games just recently revealed that it had to push back the release date by about a week, despite its best efforts. Evidently, submissions took a bit longer than expected, so shipments went out later. On the bright side, the digital release for Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 is still locked in for 29th September, so those of you who don't care for physical copies can get in on the action that much earlier.
What do you think? Are you disappointed by this? Will you be buying digital or physical? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

I really want to play this game!
Another Anime game, I pass.
What about the Japanese + translation fix patch for the first game? They have been pretty silent about it since last year. -_-
Otherwise, I also really want to play this game xD Plus I intend to buy digital so the push back doesn't really matter to me.
@MemoDuh hahaha what the heck does that mean? This is a combo based platform run and gun ala mega man. Did you think it was an rpg or something?

Pfft. One week more? That doesn't hurt me though. Patience is a virtue.
@MemoDuh dont let the visuals of the boxart lead you away
It's a really great game

Yacht Club Games, still waiting for this in Europe
@MemoDuh While I'm not one for the anime art style either, the first game was fun enough that I eventually didn't care about it. Definitely waiting on the sequel.
NOOOOOOOOOO!
Eh, it's only a week. I can wait.
Physical I don't mind the delay.
I wasn't planning on picking it up until around Oct 20 anyways since I already preordered a bunch of games that month. Plus my birthday is on the 18th of October so maybe I'll get for my birthday.
I thought it always was October 4th, that's what GameStop had on there web site several weeks ago.
So is this 1+2?
@Elanczewski yacht club says its up to the developers
@Dezzy yes
GOOD! As primarily a 3DS gamer, September's release schedule as of yesterday's Direct is going to body my wallet, lol! Can't wait for this, though. I missed both on the eShop and I'll always prefer hard media for Nintendo games.
Played this last night at the Nindies event at EMP. The devolpers are super cool guys. All former Ccapcom devs, and made the Megaman 9/10 games. This IP is their baby, and its a fast paced megaman X type game mixed with Metal slug type. The pixel art looks great. Dont sleep on this
How does it compare to the Megaman Zero games?
@Incarta It doesn't. As in, it's a fundamentally different style of game with some surface-deep similarities. While all the mainline Mega Man games were action-platformers, Gunvolt's pretty firmly action. Also, where the challenge in Mega Man is straightforward (simply beating the game), Gunvolt's designed to be easy-to-learn hard-to-master, with most of the difficulty coming from in-game challenges and the ranking system.
TL;DR It's a game that I greatly enjoy and am a fan of, but if you're going in expecting Mega Man prepare to be disappointed.
@HeroOfCybertron Yep. Amazon and Gamestop have listed this as it's release date as soon as it went up. It seems like Inti just took a long time to make things "official".
I hope this arrives in Europe too.
Would love to add this to my 3DS Collection.
@Incarta
Yeah as others have said Gunvolt is a whole different game. The only resemblance to Mega Man Zero is the sprites. It's nowhere near as challenging as MMZ but Gunvolt was pretty fun. If you like action platformer games you'll feel right at home with Gunvolt.
How does the striker pack interact with GV 1 save data, if it does at all?
I'll buy this if it comes to the UK.
I don't mind.
@Elanczewski @Nagi_Nagisa as there any news about an upcoming retail release in Europe?
@Rei PEGI rated this: http://www.perfectly-nintendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Azure-Striker-Gunvolt-Striker-Pack-EU.png But I don't see this pack in Amazon or in store, where I usually buy games.
@Elanczewski 30/09? Interesting... I will talk about it in some shops who sell Shovel Knight, but I doubt I will have any success.
