@Lizzybear1992 from the very beginning it was always advertised as being a pay early access before eventual free to play. Similar to Disney Speedstorm.

A sequel doesn’t need to follow on from the original story. Just a new game that has the same theme with a new story and new puzzles would be great. Don’t try forcing the story to follow the original.

@Not_Soos I think the point here is they’re denying the subpoena because it’s being delivered nearly a month after the deadline for any such subpoena needing to be submitted.
Example: If the rules say that you have 30 days to complain about a widget, and you complain 5 months later, then I have the right to ignore you, because you waited too long to complain.

Ever Oasis sequel on Switch would make me very happy.

I like Qix, but I think the game is simple enough and there has been plenty of clone-ish games to come out, to where I would not pay $8 for it.

I wish Nintendo Life wouldn't fall for the "It's sold out" headline. It's not sold out. They just had the 20,000 first-run units, and are still taking orders for 2nd-run units.
Considering they surpassed 20K units within 20 minutes, I think it's safe to assume they've sold MUCH more than that so far total.

WarioWare is one of my all-time favorite franchises, and the creativity and humor that the developers pump into every game really solidify my opinion that Nintendo has the most brilliant developers in the industry.

Besides the fact that those are pretty cool, if there really is an issue, then they could compromise and just paint them a different color?
Seriously, today it feels like people are just itchy for an excuse to complain about something.

If the emulator freely allows for commercial use, and the only thing that makes this "pirated" is the lack of credits, then that sounds like 1) something that is easily overlooked when trying to develop your own software, and 2) something that could easily be resolved by calmly talking to the concerned parties, and 3) this guy is WAY overreacting and being a drama queen. Shouting "pirated pirated pirated" over something that is already free and open source, is kinda douchy.

I don't think it'd be related to preloads, since on Switch, pre-loads don't happen until a week before a game comes out, when you are charged. (They implemented that change a year or so ago?)

I find it hard to believe that this random "analyst" would be told "directly by nintendo".
There's really no reason for Nintendo to reject it. There are plenty of games that would not come directly to switch, so they're not missing out on anything in that regard. And plenty of people prefer to buy games directly instead of streaming, so that's not even a concern.
Nintendo has already allowed Hitman 3 and Control to be streaming. This is really just the next step.

Not liking NSO just because there's no N64 games seems really petty.

Many many Apple Arcade games have gone on to release on PC and Switch, so I suspect there's probably just a few months exclusivity, with a possibility to see a Switch release in the future. Just to give everyone a bit of hope.

@Milenko They've not had a problem with cross-progression in Hades or Divinity, so I don't see why they'd have any problem here.

Yeah, I've been playing this for the last couple of days, it definitely scratches a certain itch. There's certainly not really any "story", but it's still a nice world that feels cozy, and tons of content and goals to work toward.

The best Quality of Life update I could ask for would be a unified launcher for all of the games, so I don't have to spend 5 minutes figuring out which game has Fibbage 3, and then switch between Party Pack 5, and then to 7, and then back to 4, etc.

I thought this game was abandoned. Are the developers actually still around, or is this some new developer that has obtained the rights to the game and are trying to bring it back?

I think it's impossible to judge Nintendo and this tactic right now, because nobody other than Nintendo knows what they're planning. What happens after the "time" is up, nobody knows. They may end up just releasing the game separately, in which case, why would it matter whether they were limited release as a bundle? There's companies that are devoted to limited physical releases of digital games, but nobody complains about them.

You failed to even include Crystal Chronicles on the list, even though it was on Gamecube originally.

The game would feel at home on Switch, that is undeniable.

@Kienda Also, it did say you could add someone as a friend, to jump right in to join them. So you'd only ever need to add someone ONCE.
It doesn't seem to be that difficult a concept to grasp.

@Kienda I guess you've not been following the game. You only need to buy one copy of the game, and then there's a trial version that lets you join in a friend for free.
So you would need two devices to play, yes, but surely you already have a smartphone or tablet that he'd be able to play on.

This game is going to be so cool. Golf Story was brilliant, so they can take all the time they want to make the next one as good or better!

Hell yeah, I'll pay $20 to have it on my Switch with the updated graphics and commentary modes. One of the best games ever created.

I was so excited for this game while it was in development.
Unfortunately, the game goes off the rails pretty early on.
And I'm not sure what the "message" you're claiming it's trying to say, but I found the story elements to be a HUGE negative part of the game, and really detracted from my enjoyment.
Overall, the game tried too hard to act like Portal, while completely missing the point as to why Portal was enjoyable.

Most people usually back a kickstarter project near the END of the project, so the information would have been there for most people already.

The Switch already has all the benefits of a digital-only console. It doesn't have a disk drive.
The existing cartridge slot is small enough and non-intrusive, that removing it would not serve any benefits.
It's different for disk-based systems, where yeah there's a better benefit to just having it digital.

I've been thinking about this for months. Once Apple announced Apple Arcade, I was like "this is brilliant!", and instantly thought how Nintendo should do something like it.
They're already kinda doing it with NSO's NES/SNES libraries, but I feel like they could do so much more and better. So much potential.
But yeah, Nintendo could make a $10/month subscription to get access to all of their published games, and people will flock to it.

Sounds good to me. The museum upgrades with Redd and the Gyroids (and Brewster) are 100% mandatory.
Being able to have actual cooking recipes sounds exciting too!
