I mean, it was a blatant rip off of Nintendo's patterns, and trying to make money off of the Animal Crossing hype. So, they really shouldn't be surprised that it got shut down.
This is silly. A pokemon is going to react the same way even if they have to remake the animation. They're not going to change how a pokemon reacts, when that is how they are supposed to react.
@TheLightSpirit Nobody's taking those pokemon away from you though. You'll still have them wherever you've been training them, AND you'll be able to have them in Pokemon Home along with the new pokemon Sword/Shield. What benefit is there for you to be able to bring the pokemon you've spent "months/years" into Pokemon Sword/Shield after you've already beaten the game, when all the same functionality is inevitably going to be in Pokemon Home?
@SilentHunter382 Ok? Then play the game with the 500 other pokemon that are there. Again, the games have always limited to a certain degree, which pokemon were able to come in.
I don't see the issue here. Pokemon games have always had a limit to which pokemon will appear in the region, and you'd only unlock the National Dex when you were completely finished with the game. This time, they're just making Pokemon Home the National Dex. Why is that something to get mad about?
@Jezebel95 That would be awesome! But right now, I've got my eye on Snack World, so I'm hoping that finally gets released, and hoping that it ends up being as good (or better??) as Fantasy Life.
But yeah, I'd rather them finish releasing the things they've announced before I start hoping for other things. I've given up on Fantasy Life for iOS being released in the West..
Animal Crossing is mostly a single-player experience. Why should they care about time manipulation? I think "not losing years of work put into a town" would be more important!!!!
I'd love to see Fallout 76 show up on Switch. It's been a lot of fun playing that with friends. Not sure how the always-on connection would work for the Switch, unless you only plan to play in Dock mode.
@ALinkttPresent Apparently you didn't read the article. The reason is that the joy-cons also needed repair, so they're being held back until they're fixed.
I don't see what the story here is. If it was intentional and already communicated that the Joy-Cons would be sent separately, then this isn't news-worthy. I know I'd prefer to have my system back ASAP, as I know I could just use another controller in the meantime.
No thanks. I pretty much 99.99% use the Switch in docked mode. Having the detachable joy-cons is great, because the controllers are always charged and I don't have to ever worry about it.
I may pick up Labo VR for a nice diversion, though. I just hope there's no split sku's that make original Switch purchasers regret being early adopters.
This game was so highly reviewed by reviewers I usually follow, that I just had to pick it up. Haven't gotten around to playing it yet, but I look forward to it.
@SuperWeird It is still full price, yes. However, it's another way for people to purchase Switch/3DS games. Also, Humble Monthly subscribers get a 10% discount off all games. And Humble sent out a $5 off coupon to newsletter subscribers. So, the savings can add up if there's games there you want.
The linked video is not available for me, for some reason. But another uploaded German copy of it, has Pikachu sounding totally normal. So ... not sure if I believe this.
Crashlands is one of the best games I have ever played. It is filled with so much charm and humor, and you can tell that love went in to every detail. I got this game on PC and iOS when it first came out, and it has been a game that has remained in my mind the most. When I'm not playing it, I think about wanting to play it. I am excited about the game coming to Switch, as it gives the game a chance to be enjoyed by new people. This game makes me happy.
@Krisi People will still call it Drum Master, because that's what it was known as for a long time. Does it personally offend you if people call it either way? You'll still understand what they're talking about, regardless of if they call it one or the other.
Taiko Drum Master also comes out this month in Japan. It'll have an English patch too, and the Switch is region-free, so it is easily import-friendly, and a must have for any rhythm game fan.
Not sure what people were expecting. Nintendo has always marched to the beat of their own drum. They specialize in doing multiple "Directs" throughout the year, where they are constantly dropping awesome game announcements on us. So people who are criticizing Nintendo here likely haven't been paying attention to Nintendo.
Yeah, this game actually made me rather angry, when playing the PC/Mac version. I would more hope that Shadowmatic (an amazing iOS game with similar concept, but better.) comes to Switch instead.
@Ham-n-jam It's a fair bet that there will be many surprises, especially since their Online service hasn't launched yet. Just don't get too attached to anything, as features slowly get killed off over time. RIP Miiverse, Nintendo Video Channel, Swapnote, etc
Am I the only person who thinks these MSU1 things sound awful? I mean, I'm all for fanmade covers/remixes, but I wouldn't want to inject it into the game itself. That just ruins the game.
I am also extremely disappointed by the lack of Golf Story. Give some attention to games that are actually new, instead of rehashes like Stardew Valley, Rocket League, or Gold/Silver. Ugh.

Re: PlatinumGames Admits Wonderful 101 Kickstarter Had Nothing To Do With Raising Funds
It's certainly not the first time a Kickstarter was run primarily just to gauge interest, rather than for the actual funds needed.
Re: Amazon's Sudden Restriction On Used Nintendo Game Sales Was An "Error"
That's quite a strange thing to happen "in error"
Re: Review: Picross Lord Of The Nazarick - Solid Puzzling With A Shoehorned Story
I don't understand what you mean by lower puzzle count. S3 claims 300+, and Overlord claims 500+.
The only thing different is that it's split between different character screens, while S3 is all lumped in one screen.
Re: Review: What Remains of Edith Finch - One Of The Most Unforgettable Games On Switch
Whichever platform you choose to play this game on, this is a game everyone HAS to experience. It's truly one you CANNOT miss.
Re: Is Game Freak "Recycling" 3DS Animations In Pokémon Sword And Shield On Switch?

Re: Bethesda Might Have More Surprises For Nintendo Switch Owners In The Future
@RiasGremory It's funny how many people hate on Fallout 76 who have never actually played it.

Re: Indie Developer Shares "Bad News" About Publishing On Switch, After Pitching His Game To Nintendo
I hope Nintendo NEVER "opens the floodgates". I like Steam just fine, but let's not let any random flash game onto the store.
Re: Team Sonic Racing Drops Opening Cutscene On Switch Due To "Cartridge Size Restrictions"
If the game is only 6.6GB, and the cart size is 8GB... surely they don't really need 1.4GB for a 2 minute long video. 200MB max.
Re: Random: Nintendo Repairs Faulty Switch And Then Sends It Back To The Owner Without Joy-Cons

Re: Level-5's Snack World Video Game Appears To Be Getting Localised
FINALLY!!!! As a HUGE fan of their game Fantasy Life, this game was promised to kind of be similar in a way. So I'm really excited.

Re: Professor Layton And The Curious Village Appears To Be Making The Switch
As others have said, I'd much prefer a trilogy compilation.
Unless it somehow is sold for only $10. I'll buy it for $10.
Re: You Won't Be Receiving The Full Package When Saints Row: The Third Arrives On Switch
Actually, those two DLCs were never included in "The Full Package". They remained separate DLCs.

Not interested. I've been burned too many times by being excited for his games only to be crushed with disappointment.

Yeah, this article is kind of sensationalist garbage.

Wait, "rewinding" saves? Is it going to take multiple snapshots of save files, and let a user choose which version of the save history to use?

Yes. This is going to be a good game.

Not surprised.
It was a fun idea, and I discovered some good songs through it. But it was slow and awkward to use. What a waste.

The "My Nintendo" rewards have been extremely disappointing.

Come on, Nintendo. Give us tangible goods, or full games to download, like we used to have!!!
