Re: Event: The First Official Nintendo Life Pinball FX3 Tournament

@Prof_Barry

BARRY! One of my all-time favorites.

lol I think my scores on Star Wars are meh, except I remember doing well on Boba Fett's table. I'm proud of my Captain America score on 3DS Marvel pinball though. Maybe I'll have to pick it back up...

I don't have the attention span that these robots do. I usually have like one good ball, and then 2 or more trash ones...

Don't have a Switch yet. No interest yet because of time.

Re: Strange Rifts Are Appearing All Over Fortnite's Map Post Blast Off Event

Klimbatize

@NEStalgia Fortnite is always adding new things though. So while the game is old, the events and content in the game are new.

It's the biggest game in the world right now. Get used to seeing a few articles about it on a video game site.

The spoiled comments sound a bit ironic coming from someone complaining about something so trivial...

Re: Feature: What Are Your Thoughts, So Far, on Pokémon GO?

Klimbatize

It was very buggy for me the first couple of days, but seems to have stabilized. I have had a good amount of fun with it, brings me back to the fun from the early days of Streetpassing. Only now it's on a much larger scale.

I'm in Vegas so there are Pokestops and gyms all over the place (I captured the gym at the "Welome to Las Vegas" sign south of the Strip!). Within a couple minutes walk of my house is a park with four pokestops and two gyms, so my son and I have spent a couple hours there. We have seen dozens of other groups of people playing as well, and it's a fun experience. We always went for walks anyway so getting exercise has never been much of an issue, but now having a fun purpose has made my kids really get into it. They want to hatch those eggs so they're always asking to walk just a little bit longer. "Dad, we only need .5 km left!"

I dig it more than I thought I would.

Re: Super Robo Mouse is Aiming for a 7th April Release Date

This guy gets way too much grief from people (and handles himself well despite unnecessary grief), and I'm glad to see the comments section isn't too bad so far. I hope it stays that way rather than bashing some guy who's actually producing something.

I recently bought a couple of his games (Tabletop Gallery and Blok Drop U) because they were super cheap on discount and for what they are, it was absolutely worth it. Fun to play with my kid as he learns basic strategy and decision making.

Re: Nintendo's Next European Splatfest is the Most Random Yet

Klimbatize

We need some hard-hitting Splatfests, like:

-Which is the proper spelling: Woah or Whoa?
-Which is stupider: Pwned or Rekt?
-Beanie or Toque?
-Wrapped or Plan B?
-Has the proliferation of standardized tests in the U.S. over the last decade and a half effectively raised student achievement?

Re: SteamWorld Heist Release Date and Pricing Confirmed

Klimbatize

I'm downloading this day one. This is a developer worth supporting (SteamWorldDig was great), and the price is very reasonable if the game really is 20 hours of fun gameplay. I think I logged around 35 hours on Dig since I replayed it several times to better my ratings. Hopefully this has high replay value as well.

The early discount is a pleasant bonus, too. I wish Image & Form lots of success.

Re: Video: Learn the Basics of the Pokémon Trading Card Game

Klimbatize

My son got a bunch of Pokemon cards from friends for his birthday about a month ago, but neither he or I had ever played the game before. I downloaded the Gameboy Color TCG to learn the basics. That game is a good teacher, and now he and I (after I invested a little more into filling out our decks and getting energy cards) play it once a day. It's more fun than I expected.

Re: Nintendo Life Weekly: Skull Kid Confirmed as Playable on Wii U Hyrule Warriors, Pokémon Lawsuit Flip-Flop and More

LOL at the whole section in the video about the Pokemon lawsuit. The misunderstanding of the situation is fascinating. It's bad news for the guy getting that TPC withdrew the settlement, guys. Now he's going to have to spend more money defending himself in court, and I bet he'll wind up owing them even more in damages. $4000 was light. Funny how you paint it as if TPC has dropped the thing entirely because of bad press. More likely they withdrew the settlement because the guy misrepresented the entire thing online to get other people (suckers) to pay for his mistakes.

Re: Save Data Hackers Top Competition Leaderboards in Pokémon Shuffle

Klimbatize

@Morpheel Not that many are cheating. I was ranked 9th yesterday morning and now I'm 40th. A good portion of those who passed me are likely hacking the game. Still, those 25-30 cheaters will be the difference for some legit competitors getting a stone and/or mega speed up.

Like you said though, I'm sure Nintendo will remove them. I hope they are blocked from future uploads as well.
