@Phantom_R I had it on my Wish List for like two years as well, and since it was a Nintendo game I was hoping it would show up as a reward at some point.
I finally just broke down and bought it in early February...oops.
@ThomasBW84 Shame on you for presenting this information this way. "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze swings past 50,000 sales to date" is so biased! You should have used the word "rocketed" to describe DKC's wonderful accomplishment of being in the Top 12 in its second week of release. Why are you so negative all the time????
Hey, I'm friends with this guy. In fact, the first post I ever made on this site was a link to his 600 point Super Mario Bros. run. The dude's nickname isn't "Robot" for nothing.
@JohnRedcorn I'm thinking about creating ibehard games. All I need is a blog, Microsoft Paint, some cut/pasted comments from online forums, and the ability to send out a press release. This will get me a lot of exposure from legit websites, and support from thousands. Want to help?
I guess we'll need programmers and some dev kits eventually, but meh, obviously you don't need that stuff to be considered a video game company. Blind adoration and unwarranted attention will work just fine for me for now.
Should have courted third parties from the get go. Should have included the heavy hitters in on the development, and received their input. Should have made it match the power of the other consoles so they would get viable ports. Should have respected third parties more.
Man, I love Nintendo, more than any other VG company...but WTF?
Now you're shifting this into a completely different argument. I agree that we should welcome new developers. This guy isn't one. He's some guy who posted a blog blaming third party publishers for the lack of support, then created this "company".
My original point still stands. You are so desperate to find good news about the Wii U that you'll grasp onto anything, even something that has no credibility.
I hope this "f***ing whiner" (as you called me) managed to keep this post from being personal. Wouldn't want to throw insults around or anything.
By the way, it's interesting that when you view that blog in "Mobile" mode, it shows that 90% of the comments are by the same guy (J Mullins) talking up the game under different user names. Gee, I wonder if J Mullins is the owner of that blog...
@TheRealThanos Delusional. And belligerently naive.
Everyone who is calling the skeptics "negative" should calm down. I'm not being negative. I'm just not a moron who believes anything put on some blog on the internet until I get some real evidence to back it up. Honestly, I assumed the majority of people did that.
When absolutely nothing comes from this "developer", I'll gladly accept your apology for saying I should be buried under a pile of rocks simply for being a realist.
@rumple88 LOL. It's not being "butthurt", it's living in reality. It's clearly not real.
Did NL vet this "developer" at all? Some dude with no known credentials sets up a blog to rail against some companies who aren't supporting the Wii U, and now he's getting legit coverage from credible sites as if he really has something in the works. He's admitted to being one guy, with a blog, without a dev kit, money, or even a graphics programmer.
They could minimally say "take this with a huge block of salt" to cover their skins, but they seem to be buying into it as much as everyone who's starved for good news for the Wii U.
Amazing that people think this is even remotely legit. It's embarrassing that it's even being treated as a news story, as there is nothing to indicate that this guy even knows how to program a game of Pong.
His site is a blog, with comments from one guy pretending to be multiple people. Probably the blog owner himself.
I hope they add more DLC to the Plaza. I've managed a lot of playtime out of the four newer games. Unfortunately, it's to the point where Streetpassing again doesn't mean as much to me because I have every puzzle piece and all but one ticket from the new games (still need to battle about 30 more "Monarchs From Afar" in Warrior's Way).
@Artwark (#12) LOL, that is one of the funniest posts I've read in a long time. Thank you so much for that.
Anyway, I've been a big proponent of this game since it's release. It's just pure fun and it's a steal at only $2. I'm glad to hear of it's continued success and I look forward to his next game...
@Obito_Tennyson This is a European site. Those two games you mentioned were released in 2013 in the PAL region. That's also why a game like Nightsky gets nominated despite being released in NA in 2012.
I actually preferred Jump Trials Extreme to the seemingly more popular 10 Second Run, so to hear that this improves upon the previous entries in the series makes me more interested. I'll pick it up eventually.

@Noonch Ugh...You!
Re: Talking Point: Steel Diver: Sub Wars Proves That Nintendo Can Make Free-To-Play Work
I purchased the premium version after enjoying the multiplayer mode. The online connectivity has gotten way better since it first launched, too.
Re: The Next Batman Game Is Arkham Knight, And No, There Won't Be A Wii U Version
Looks like major titles are moving exclusively to next gen machines now.
Re: Airtight Games Feels That Murdered: Soul Suspect "Doesn't Fit" On Wii U
@seronja Glad you got my point.
Re: Airtight Games Feels That Murdered: Soul Suspect "Doesn't Fit" On Wii U
@JosieC84 Totally agreed! The Wii U is doing just fine without third party games. Who needs 'em??
Re: Airtight Games Feels That Murdered: Soul Suspect "Doesn't Fit" On Wii U
A game like that isn't worth the risk of spending resources to port it to the Wii U. Wise decision by the developer.
Re: Video: Experience The Acute Embarrassment Of Owning A Physical Copy of Senran Kagura Burst
Haha, Damo loves writing Senran Kagura Burst articles. This is like the 8th one he's done personally.
Re: Nintendo Download: 27th February (North America)
I'm downloading Tappingo today.
Re: Wii U Lifetime Sales in Japan Overtake the Xbox 360
Next up...Dreamcast!

They should do this with a game of chess.
Re: Hacking Group Claims To Have Discovered Wii U Homebrew Exploit
Now /this/ is some news that will finally sell some Wii U's.
Re: Weirdness: Super Mario Bros. Record For Lowest Score is Beaten
I think he has way more impressive videos on his youtube page, by the way. Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man runs that make my jaw drop.

Buying this day one. Goodbye Galaxy Games always delivers quality gameplay.
Re: AE Games Reveals Mad Men Football, High Impact Gridiron With "An Historical Twist"
@rumple88 Stop trying to start fights online and go for a walk or something, Mr. Positive.

@rumple88 I'll go on a walk after you up your reading comprehension.
Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Only Sells Just Over 35,000 Units in Japanese Launch
So basically a lot of people want this site to lie to them.
Don't listen to the people with their heads in the sand, NintendoLife. Your articles show a fair representation of the Nintendo landscape.
Well, except those stories on AE Games. Giving that "company" credibility was embarrassing.
Re: Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Only Sells Just Over 35,000 Units in Japanese Launch
Wii U install base is just too small in Japan. Unfortunately, it will likely remain that way throughout the Wii U's lifespan.
Good thing the 3DS is around.

Whomp 'Em HD for the Wii U eShop. Listen to your fans, Nintendo.
Re: Watch_Dogs Delayed Again on Wii U, Will Arrive on the System After Other Platforms
LOL.
Re: Retro City Rampage: DX Hits The 3DS eShop This Week in North America, 20th February in Europe
I'll be buying this. Never played the original.
Re: Release Window and Pricing Confirmed for Tappingo on the 3DS eShop
This is a no-brainer download for me. Looking forward to it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd January (North America)
More like Mighty Bomb Wack.
Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd January (North America)
It's telling that the discounts are included as options in the poll this week when discounts like these happen all the time on the eShop.
Having only three options to choose from (and one being "Nothing") would have been hilarious.
Re: You Can Vote For Nintendo In The 10th Annual Family Game Of The Year Awards
I wish Knack was a candidate for every category so I could vote for it 7 times.
Re: Mighty Bomb Jack Is Blowing Up The North American Wii U Virtual Console This Week
Haha, this game sucks.
Oh you, Nintendo.

Re: 3DS Tops US Hardware Sales as Wii U Achieves "Its Highest Month" in December
This is pretty great news. If they keep up this rate all year, they'll pass the Dreamcast in sales by this time next year.

@MAB I'll respond to you in your own language:

Fire Emblem: Awakening earns my vote in every category in which it's nominated.
Re: Feature: A Year in Development - Image & Form
Love this game. One of my favorite eShop games from 2013. I've played through it five or six times already.
Looking forward to whatever Image & Form puts out next.

Re: Exclusive: Mutant Mudds Deluxe Content Coming as a Free Update on 3DS
Very cool. I love the game and I have 100%ed it a few times. 20 new levels are most welcome.
