Re: Soapbox: Nintendo Was Wrong To Turn Its Back On The Wii Remote

Kirby_Fan_DL3

I think Nintendo should make a new Wii remote for the NX. The current Wii remote is extremely inaccurate and glitches a lot, with current technology Nintendo can make an almost perfect Wii remote that rarely (if ever) needs to be calibrated, and maybe a wireless nunchuck as well. Imagine a Wii remote with a control stick for better camera control, or maybe (kinda going out of the box here, but) a VR Metroid Prime game that puts you in the Metroid universe, and you can control the camera by moving your head around and aim precisely with the new, more accurate Wii remote.

@TeeJay it's not that I think pixel art is bad, it's just that I don't think you can make an NES game look better than it already does. Because it's basically just pixel art, turning it HD would just make it look sharper, which honestly doesn't look much different (to me at least). I don't remember if you actually have to pay for it, but if you do then I think it's pretty pointless.

Re: Video: Two Ways of Looking at the Incredible Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibo

Kirby_Fan_DL3

Yeah, but the thing is that amiibo is 60 dollars. That's the price of a full Nintendo game. Most plushes that size are 20 dollars at most, and apparently the amiibo technology is cheap because a pack of 3 Amiibos cards is like 5 dollars.

That plush should be 25 dollars at most, but Nintendo decides to make it 50-60 dollars. That's insane.

Re: Sega: Recent Sonic Games Haven't Been "Acceptable", Looking To Replicate The Past In Future Outings

Kirby_Fan_DL3

I really hate when people say that the problem about sonic is that "there's a lot of characters" or "there's voice acting" or "they aren't 2d rip offs of the old games".
The main reason that recent Sonic games are bad is because Sega rushes them.
Sega didn't want to make Sonic 2006 bad. They just stupidly gave themself such a short time to develop the game that they had to release an unfinished game. If they gave themselves another year, the game could've been much better. The same could be said for boom.
For future sonic games, I think Sega should keep the amount of characters low (sonic tails knuckles Amy eggman maybe more if it's a sonic adventure styled game), but I don't think Sega should keep sonic 2d. Sonic strives on voice acting and cutscenes, Sega probably won't be removing that in the future.

I'm just worried that if Sega makes sonic like the classic games again, sonic will become just like mario: boring, predictable, unoriginal, etc.

Re: Poll: The Tricky Issue of Retail Games as Download-Only Releases

Kirby_Fan_DL3

I'm ok with all games being downloadable on a console, but for a handheld... no way. I'm someone who shares handheld games with a family member, and, while this is no problem with a cartridge, it's impossible to do with a download. Thus I'd have to spend double the money for the same game so two people can play. That's just a waste of money when you can just buy one cartridge and share it with others.
