Re: Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack Switch Western Release Cancelled

Kawaiipikachu

@topsekret Yet at the same time Mugen Souls is released on the switch.
Seems to be too contradictory to be censorship.
So really it seems to me it's publishers incompetence like XSEED here as an example.

@Warioware maybe it's show it's something else other than censorship issue but rather than some other issue that Corpse party & other games.

So really I believe it's some quality control issue than censorship issue as there are games with similar themes continue to release on the switch.

Re: Switch Emulator 'NxEmu' Is Back And Hopes To Avoid Nintendo's Wrath

Kawaiipikachu

@MysticX The main reasons Yuzu was successfully taken down is because
1.) ability to decrypt encryption keys.
2.)Included tools to rip non-volatile media.
& worst of all shared illegal copies of games ripped using these illegal tools.

If NxEmu doesn't have any of these 3 things the they be safe, just let the end user preform the illegal activities.

Re: Tech Fans Have Gone Full 'Layton' In Analysing The 'Switch 2' Motherboard

Kawaiipikachu

I think at this point we are pretty sure that we are getting an actual full on successor to the Switch rather than a Switch 2.

There's too much going on to make it a Switch 2.
There's too much of a processor update to make this a mere Switch 2.
Look at it this way the DSi never had the CPU update that a lot of people have & if we look at the leaks here, it seems more akin to the equivalent of Nintendo Skipping the DSi in favour of the 3DS

So long story short, This is an actual Switch Successor, not a Switch 2.

Re: Genshin Impact Announced For Another Platform, Switch Release Left In Limbo

Kawaiipikachu

@FishyS
@siavm
Doubtful that any Switch Revision be getting genshin impact.
Besides which if anything we already got the Switch Lite & a Switch OLED so in a sense we already got a Switch 2 & Switch 3.
So really shouldn't any theoretical upcoming Switch Revision called a Switch 4

Anyway as for it appearing on an actual Switch successor , I can see it highly likely.

@Snatcher
It was announced for the Switch at the beginning just only recently that any reference to a switch release removed from official channels.

Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On Metroid Prime Remastered Physical Release

Kawaiipikachu

@victordamazio Artificial Scarcity makes no sense.
How are you meant to increase sales by setting a hard limit.
Lets say that you set the limit to a hundred units, that's all you can sell.
Even if customers want to by 500 units say, you can't sell 500 units because you produced only 100 meaning you are losing out on sales of 400 units & those people who are unable to buy those 400 units are less likely to buy from you.

So really, Artificial Scarcity as a a business tactic makes no sense as you are losing out on sales in the end.

Re: Did You Know The Game Boy Advance Could Make Video Calls Back In 2004?

Kawaiipikachu

@Savino There were basically smartphones before Apples iPhone were around.
Some of Compaq's/HP's iPaq PDA's like the iPaq h6315 for example had cellular functions, hence a device that resamples a lot like iPhones.
Plus Nokia's 9100 series phones can unfold into a portfolio computer, for which is another form of smartphone.
Plus by extension, any phone that run symbian OS can be called a smartphone.

Also as I was double checking release dates while typing all of the I just leaned of the IBM Simon a touchscreen smartphone released way back in 1994.

So really the iPhone wasn't the first smartphone on the market, not by a longshot.

"Like all old games there’s a lot of crucial game-changing knowledge locked away in the manual"
I see that more as a pro than a con.
These days there are too many games with tutorials that overstay there welcome while not clearly explaining the game.

Plus with a manual if you missed something, at least you can quickly flip thru it to get the info.
You can't really do that with a tutorial.

Re: Anniversary: Dig Out The Plastic And Reform The Band - Rock Band 3 Turns 10 Today

Kawaiipikachu

@infernogott But But Harmonix churned out so much DLC that it affected quality control.

Then there's a fact that they wanted an unbroken import feature so they only selected songs from certain record labels that makes it easy to implement that feature, thou it backfired on the in RB4 .

While nether GH or RB instruments are that partially good quality, just that the first generation RBs controllers were totally rubbish.

when RB3 came out it had a major game breaking bug & they refused to do anything for Wii owners, yet Activisin on the other hand are willing to give replacement disc's for GH3's reletavely mild audio bug.

In a lot of was the Guitar Hero series has a lot less BS as compared to Rock Band.

@StevenH I do remember the Beanie Babies, in fact I own nearly a dozen of there stuffed cats.

Quite often a lot of fads have a lot of out there stores produced by the media.
Some true & others are out there media hype.
& quite often there are some truths to these stories.

They did used to regularly cycled through lines & retire old ones which would make less popular ones rare.

Theres also hopeful investors collecting them hoping they land a goldmine some stage down the stage.

Plus they used to sold then through small gift stores & such.

They did make more of the popular ones like Peep the Meerkat.
They also made big sized & giant sized version of the populart ones, like them making a big version of Peep.

If scarcity to blame here, then why did they get there & make bigger version of the popular ones.

If scarcity is a thing, then why is it so common to see Vintage Beanie babies on ebay so cheap.
It's because they never really had the value anyway.

Through all the crazy stories out there, there's never really anything that many of the beanie babies where really that rare to start of with.
