@roadrunner343 For me it's the issue of the system not living up to its billing. It's supposed to be a seamless experience across multiple play-styles.
Look at Mario Kart. The same game docked/undocked/tabletop whether you're playing multiplayer or single player. That's the expectation from people buying the console - but it's not what you get in this example.
You're right; tilt to move wouldn't be great - tilt to aim would be better - but either way it's disappointing that the solution from the developer is to change the game so fundamentally. I can imagine trying to play like this after playing the 'full' version would be incredibly frustrating.
All in all a big selling point of the system - local multiplayer without the need for any extra equipment - is gimped in what I really hope is going to be an early stand-out title.
@Nintendoforlife Playing local 2-player out of the box is a Switch USP - if this kind of control gimping becomes the norm than the main attraction of table-top mode is negatively impacted.
Really, really, hoping this turns out well - on whatever system. There hasn't been a really good arcade basketball game since the early days of the 360
Would have been a better article of you restricted it to Third Party games only - Imagine how much more interesting this would have been to read (and write) about Steamworld Heist, Azure Striker, Gunvolt, Runbow, BoxBoy, Fractured Soul...
These may not have the appeal Mario and DK, but at least it would offer something a little different from reading about those franchises for the gajillionth time.
I didn't realise, before adding my ratings for this poll, just how much better, more interesting, and more original the 3DS' digital library is compared to the blah blah Mario blah blah Zelda of its retail library.
On Twitter they recommended someone to check out 'Oh Deer' on PlayStation Vita. A quick look at that and I'd be amazed if this wasn't by the same guys: Team Alpha of Necrosoft. https://necrosoftgames.com/
A list that's as predictable as it is depressing. The Wonderful 101 beaten out by a Zelda remake? The best game this generation on any hardware... Or a rehash of a game released years ago?
I'm not 'Nintendo' enough to understand the Rosalina issue but to me she represents the most human character in the Marioverse, and she was beast in MK8.
@ThomasBW84
Tank! Tank! Tank! Is a must for this series.
It's three-quarters complete rubbish and one-quarter complete genius. But what a quarter! My Kong mode makes fantastic use of the touch screen and is one of the best party games on the system.
It's super cheap to find online so getting it for that one-quarter is entirely viable.
"Gotcha Racing is a deceptively complex, addicting racer with a maddeningly addictive collection and upgrade system."
Sorry to get all grammar Nazi in here but that's just about the most annoying sentence I've ever read. Addictive and addicting are not different words for the same thing.
Game sounds good, was about to go and buy but I'm in the EU.
@Morph This is why I hate review scores. Even in isolation of the knowledge that this is the best game in its genre - there is not a negative word in this review. There is nothing in the text to suggest what it is about the game (or the port) that the reviewer believes holds it back from that hallowed '10'.
Im going to be interested to see how much of this excitement survives the £20 price tag this game will undoubtedly launch with. Looks worth every penny to me, but many seem to believe that eShop releases should only ever come at budget prices.

Re: EDGE Magazine Reveals How A Single Joy-Con Works in Arms
@Nintendoforlife
Rather that than have half the controls missing entirely
Re: EDGE Magazine Reveals How A Single Joy-Con Works in Arms
Sounds pretty gimped - why not use tilt to move and the stick for punch angle?

@Damo
👍
Re: Super Mario Kart Started Life As A F-Zero Multiplayer Prototype
ahem - "an" F Zero prototype.
Re: Out Now: Fire Emblem Heroes Is Available To Download On iOS And Android
Played a little on the train to work this morning - seems pretty decent so far.
Re: Gallery: Micro SD Card Slot Shown Off In Ridiculously Close-Up Nintendo Switch Photos
That first shot gives a better impression of its size than any other I've seen - smaller than I thought.
Re: First Impressions: Round One With Ultra Street Fighter II On Nintendo Switch
@Pazuzu666
I've seen reports elsewhere that the HD look can be turned off and replaced with the original pixel look
Re: Travis Touchdown Will Return In No More Heroes Sequel For Switch
@RadioHedgeFund
The Snowboard game was Steep, which is rubbish, the Rayman game was a Legends re-release.

Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd September (Europe)
Polara is a fantastic game - it's been around on mobile at a fraction of that price for a long time though.
Re: Review: Dragon Skills (Wii U eShop)
Probably better off sticking with Siesta Fiesta
Re: SurveyMonkey Intelligence Breaks Down the Declining Usage of Miitomo
It probably has something to do with miitomo utterly awful.
Re: SEGA 3D Classics Collection is Confirmed for Europe
Great news!
Re: Bloodstained Will Launch the Base Campaign First, Followed by Staggered Content Releases
While a good thing in general, how much of that content will actually make it to the Wii-U?
Re: Nintendo NX Will Be Launched Globally in March 2017
Sensible from a financial basis, not sure about this nothing at E3 thing though.
Re: Nintendo Download: 28th April (Europe)
Damnit! I'm moving house and have already packed up Steamworld Heist.
A brilliant game, more content is very welcome.
I assume it will be included when the game launches on other systems?
Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Details Appear, Special Announcement Coming Later This Month
ASG is one of the best two games on the 3DS (Steamworld Heist being the other) so I can not wait for this sequel.
Although, I may have to if localisation takes anywhere near as long as last time.
Re: More Details Emerge on 80's Overdrive
Do we know who the dev is?
I thought it might be Necrosoft.

Re: Weirdness: Minor League Baseball Team Is Making Its Players Wear Game Boy Jerseys
I need this in my life. Surely they sell replicas somewhere...
Re: Nnooo Announces Legend of Kusakari for the 3DS eShop
Everyone should pay escapeVektor, one of the best games on the system.
Re: First Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Footage Shown At MAGFest 2016
Azure Striker Gunvolt is my second favourite game on 3DS - hopefully the UK doesn't have to wait a year for localisation this time out.
Re: Bayonetta Could've Been in Project X Zone 2
Wait...
Did Kamiya just say he wants to make a game featuring Bayonetta AND Dante!?

What the hell is all that PxZ DLC about?
Re: Here's Exactly What Has Changed With Fire Emblem Fates' "Skinship" Petting Mode
Sounds like they improved it. Original feature is creepy as hell.
Re: FAST Racing NEO Release Date and Pricing Speed Into View
Great price. Completely proved me wrong.
Re: Feature: Assessing Affordable Space Adventures and Its Ongoing Journey
Somehow news of this update had passed me by.
I bought AFA at launch and pretty much its only recognisable flaw is that it is rather too easy.
Great to hear that these new stages are more difficult, I'll be downloading this right away.

Ugh.

Re: No, SNES Super FX Title Vortex Was Never A Transformers Game

Siesta Fiesta is worth a quid of anyone's money - go buy it!

Shantae and Switch Force 2 please guv'na!
Re: Talking Point: The Mystery of Devil's Third and Its Drift Away from the Spotlight
Maybe they'll go the Disaster: Day of Crisis route and not release the game in NA at all.
That one turned out to be one of the best games on the system too.
Re: Gallery: The Yarn Yoshi amiibo Is So Cute And Cuddly, It Hurts
Got my little green guy yesterday, he's staying in the box!
The game is better than I was expecting too.
Re: Nintendo Download: 25th June (Europe)
Nothing to download for me, but I'll be getting a boxed YWW and my first ever amiibo.
