Looks lovely, hope they get some promo support from Nintendo. I also hope there's some interesting gamepad use to differentiate it from its inevitable Steam/PS4/XBone version.
@AVahne
I'm not a Ninty fan, I'm a Nintendo hardware owner (among many various other things).
I'd be very interested to hear what it is that you think I don't understand though.
This communication line is so weak. These guys need to take a PR lesson from Mercedes F1 - You made a massive mistake, fess up, cancel the game, then we can all put the whole mess behind us and move on ASAP.
@TheRealThanos
I'm not really sure whether you're agreeing or otherwise.
My point is that mobile games are best when they are designed for mobile platforms, and when they are designed to be played in 'micro bursts'.
This article seems to take issue with Crossy Road, a game which is, for all intents and purposes, Frogger; a game viewed as a classic.
In regards Pac-Man. 256, as a fan of the original I for an delighted that they 'reimagined' it in this way.
PacMan wasn't designed to be played on a touchscreen and would be a horrific experience on one. This 256 variant was. Furthermore it in no way affects the quality of the original and could well introduce better PacMan games to a new audience.
The kind of 2-minute fun offered by PacMan 256 and Crossy Road is exactly what playing games on a phone is all about.
I'm hitting the big four-oh later this year and have a collection of games and consoles stretching back from generation 8 to generation 2 - and I enjoy this type of 59p fare alongside the £59 blockbusters for 'proper' games machines.
Yes, F2P can be gauling, abhorrent even. But implemented in the right way (as Hipster Whale did with Crossy Road) it impacts gameplay only as much as you want it to.
I'm a little disappointed by the difficulty (or lack of) details given here.
An earlier promo from Nintendo stated that there would be two difficulty levels; one Epic Yarn style and one for people who don't expect not to die when they play games.
With that said, I was so enamoured with wool Yoshi that this is the first game I've pre-oredered since the original Soul Blade on PS1, so I'll find out for myself if there's any challenge soon enough.

Re: Exclusive: Get Revved Up With the First FAST Racing NEO 60fps Footage
I can't see this not ending up on XBone/PS4 as well at some point... but I don't own either of those so I'll be buying it for the Wii-U!
Re: PolyKid's Indie 3D Platformer Poi Is Coming To Wii U
Love the low poly style, glad we're starting to see more of it!

Re: Xeodrifter Targeting 18th June Release in PAL Regions, Pricing Confirmed
Spot on. Just after pay-day!
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th June (Europe)
Two shocking weeks in a row, at least we had the humble bund... Oh wait...
Re: Curve Digital Discounts Wii U Titles By 50% in Europe
Anyone that doesn't have OlliOlli really shouldn't miss it for that price.

Re: Review: Splatoon (Wii U)
"If you're expecting Splatoon to stand up on its own as a single-player experience you're going to be sadly disappointed"
And there it is... Sorry... No sale.

Re: Nintendo Wanted To Make Its Humble Bundle A Global Offer, Expects To Do So "Eventually"
Whatever they eventually get on a Humble deal for the EU will be welcome - it's a great initiative from Nintendo.
I wonder if Sony and MS will follow suite?

Yeah, they can have my money now.
Hopefully the nonsense the Project Cars devs are trying to pull won't put others off.

Re: Nintendo Download: 28th May (Europe)
My archaic internet set up precludes me from Splatoon - at least until I see a review of the single player content.
So nothing for me.
