@SLIGEACH_EIRE I don't understand the mentality of owning physical games for a portable console. My Vita collection is 100% digital which is great for whenever I go on a trip.
I remember this made the cover of Official Nintendo Magazine one month, and then it ended up not even coming out on the N64! In fact, didn't the PlayStation version have a quote from ONM on the box? What a weird period of time!
Kind of tempted to back this, but I remember at the time not actually being interested in the game, so I'd only be doing it out of curiosity to own a rare game...
I would love to see a Super Mario Kart 2, with online capabilities and new tracks and characters, but retaining the gameplay of Super Mario Kart. The same goes for F-Zero!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE wait, so I have to buy one of those USB to plug adaptor thingies to even use the snes mini? Oh well, I'm glad I found that out now rather than when it arrives!
my local Sainsbury's got rid of their Nintendo section entirely a few months back. I was quite surprised, because before they had a decent, if small, selection of Wii U & 3DS games and Amiibos
@MitchVogel that's an interesting idea. My own view was always that Zelda was like Final Fantasy - just a series of unrelated games. (Except of course the obvious direct sequels like Ocarina of Time -> Majora's Mask)
For some reason I get irrationally annoyed about this. The Zelda timeline is the silliest attempt to hamfist a series of otherwise unconnected games that I've ever seen.
I always wanted to get into the Densha de Go series, but I couldn't understand how to play since they were all in Japanese. Call me crazy, but I might give this a go!
very tempting. Say I planned to buy all my games in disc format anyway (except the odd bit of Mario Kart DLC and maybe a VC game or two), would 8GB be enough? I really don't want the inconvenience of a separate HDD
@Bass_X0 doesn't the virtual console have a built-in save state feature though? So while it still wouldn't be ideal, it would be better than nothing. Anyway, I noticed this game on sale - shame it seems to be not very good as I love me some Goemon!
I'm utterly dumbfounded that we have someone complaining about a lack of racial diversity in a cartoony racing game featuring turtles, mushroom people and dinosaurs. It's not exactly meant to be an accurate reflection of real society is it? Actually, I've just had a great idea for a new indie game - SJW Kart. Every character will be represent a different minority group!
Seems like a fair review to me. I reckon if you go into this with low expectations, it might still be decent. I might pick it up tomorrow if I'm feeling impulsive. One thing that really concerns me though, is how sub-par the music sounds from the preview videos.
@DiscoDriver43 It's not very similar to Uncharted, but still a great game. There is a lot more emphasis on stealth, and it's much more tense and creepy. Uncharted is a fun romp by comparison
I think the fact that the gamepad is considered the Wii U's main selling point is a problem in itself. A console's main selling point should only ever be one thing: games (preferably exclusives), rather than gimmicks like the Wii U gamepad.
@SnackBox I don't see things like that as cheating. As long as what you're doing is within the realms of possibility. Although, I think tinkering with IVs would be cheating. in my Gen 4 days, I used a save game editor to allocate my EVs, because no way was I going to spend a million years grinding EVs for no reason!
I agree - all the Guardian's article is doing is providing an overview of the 50 best selling games and their themes - violent or otherwise.
Everyone saying "HOW CAN ANIMAL CROSSING BE VIOLENT LOL XD" hasn't actually bothered to look at the article.
all I see for WiiU is ports of games which have been out for months on other consoles. That's the main problem for me. Plus, there aren't any killer first-party titles that warrant buying the hardware yet, in my opinion.

Re: Feature: 20 Games That Aren't On The SNES Classic Mini, But Really Should Be
@Joffy probably because it's know as "Legend of the Mystical Ninja" on SNES

Re: Video: Take To The Skies In This Trailer For Factor 5's Unreleased WeFly
I'm more bothered by the Rogue Squadron Wii port that we never got
Re: Feature: 20 Games That Aren't On The SNES Classic Mini, But Really Should Be
Pretty much nailed it, although I would probably add Goemon, Tetris Attack, and Tetris/Dr Mario
Re: The Inevitable SNES Classic Mini Hack Is Well Underway
Excellent. The collection isn't complete without Donkey Kong Country 2 and Tetris Attack

They have a point - the old one looks much better!
I wonder why they changed it, and why are they so seemingly reluctant to change it back?
Re: Guide: Everything We Know About the Super NES Classic Edition
I wish we were also getting Panel de Pon/ Tetris Attack

No.

Re: Nintendo Comes Out On Top As Japanese Gamers Vote For Their Favourite Developers
not really that surprising to see Sony so low - how many games do they actually develop? Most games on Playstation are 3rd party
