I'm not sure about North America, but this definitely was released in Europe. Give it a go. It's a fairly amusing game in short amounts - it just won't have you playing for months and months
Seeing as the DS is region free there's not really any excuse to have missed out on Contra 4. If you have the internet you basically already have the means to acquire it.
I have no personal desire for a Smash Bros DS. I think it's because I prefer to see the DS library being filled with titles like Pokemon and Phoenix Wright that work better on a handeld than a home console -- rather than watered down, inferior ports of home console hits like Smash Bros.
The Dreamcast is just a loud console. The fan is pretty loud but at least it's not a buzzing noise like the Wii. When I opened mine up, I found that the buzzing comes from a spinning piece of plastic grinding off a metal mechanism. I don't want to send it in for expensive repairs if it's just going to start up with the noises again, but if it does that I'll just trade it in for a brand new sexy black Wii I think
I'm currently in the process of getting my Wii repaired. About 6 months ago the disc drive started making this annoying buzzing sound. It was out of warranty so I opened it up to take a look and managed to damage the case in the process <doh>. Now I'll have to pay even more to get it fixed. oh well.
One of the greatest platform games of all time. To anyone who has not played this game but is considering downloading it, do it!! It's one of those magical games that will stick in your mind forever. I'm still playing it on my SNES 14 years after it came out. Don't miss out.
There were times that I felt like giving this a '5', but then again there were times where I felt like giving it a '3', so in the end I thought that '4' was fair. That's not to say it's completely terrible, but I think "below par" is an accurate description.
I bought this game on holiday in a Woolworth's in Jersey about 8 years ago (can't believe it's been that long ) for no reason other than it was only about £15 (back then N64 games were often above £40), the Konami logo, and I thought the box looked cool!
I bought this just for Super Sidekicks 3. An arcade up in Pitlochry used to have an arcade cabinet of it which would give you ages for your 50p - but last couple of times I've been it's been gone. It must have bit the dust
Everyone overreacting should calm down. Even if Nintendo never released another VC game ever again, 80%-90% of the classics are already there - there's years-worth of gaming already there. All that's missing are a few obvious ones like Super Mario Kart or Yoshi's Island.
Also, Nintendo are a corporation, they exist to make money. Believe it or not, they don't do it purely for the love of games. So I don't understand anyone that criticises them for "only wanting to make money" - that's what businesses do.
On a slightly more related note, Resort seems to have a lot more to offer in the way of sports than the original - which I still find fun now and then. I'd be tempted to check out one of the competitions but none are near me .
I'd gladly review the sequel as well, but unfortunately I don't own the game. If anyone has a spare copy lying around that they want to donate though, go right ahead!
On 24th April I went down to Blockbuster and bought.....Pikmin 2! I guess the trusted Nintendo franchise approach won me over, rather than take a risk on something new! Don't hate me!
Get some Dreamcast games on VC - namely, Shenmue I & II, and Jet Set Radio. If they're too big for VC however, re-release them with Wii remote controls as full-on Wii games, and if sales are good enough to merit it, give the franchises new sequels (i.e. Shenmue III)
I won't be getting it. It just looks too much like shovelware to me, and although it might be technically impressive, the fact it's a full PS2 release on Virtual Console at a knock-down price isn't enough to merit a purchase. I don't like to take factors like memory size and price into account when I buy a game - just the quality of the game alone. But that's just my opinion.
If you like the sound of the game as a whole, I wouldn't avoid playing it just because of the camera. It would have been a 9 or 10/10 if only it was longer, more challenging, and the camera wasn't as erratic.
I would check this out, but I have too many other unfinished games at the moment. Its release seems to have had no hype at all. I might check it out in a few months once I get through my backlog. Also, that Japanese box art looks sexual, hope they don't mess it up for the EU and NA releases.
This will just seem like a bitter retaliation but honestly, I saw Transformers at the cinema last night and it was one of the worst films I've ever paid to see. I can't believe how cheesy and clichéd it was. I had to go to the toilet half-way through which I normally try to avoid, but last night I didn't want to go back in! Last time I failed to enjoy a film that much was when I went to see Peter Jackson's King Kong.
I wrote an essay about this sort of thing a couple of years ago. It'll be totally out of date now. On another note, has anyone ever actually seen a game with the Discrimination, Gambling or Drugs symbols? Actually, the only one that ever seems to be there is Violence.
yeah I hate buying games with dates in the title (e.g. 2009 etc...) for the same reason, but at the same time I'd tend to go for a Sega game over EA. Good thing I don't care for tennis too much and won't be getting either. Wii Sports is all I need if I get the tennis itch.
Possibly my favourite game of all time. Even just looking at the screenshots on this page brings back all the emotions I had when playing it for the first time on my brother's Game Boy Pocket. At the time, it was like nothing else I'd ever played. None of the subsequent generations have managed to capture my imagination in quite the same way as the first. It's completely unbalanced but I don't care. What a game. To me it's THE pokemon game.
This isn't really anything new. Back in the days of the Nintendo 64 this Tetris game came out in Japan with a thing that measured your heartbeat. The game could tell when you were panicking by your heart rate and would speed up or slow down accordingly

Re: F1 2009 Night Race Screens Emerge From The Darkness
The main thing that strikes me as weird about this game is that they're calling it "2009" - it'll be out of date in three months!
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii also confirmed for November European release
This will probably be my Christmas game this year. Not that I need to wait til Christmas - it's just more fun that way imo
Re: No More Heroes 2 Gets A Control Shake-Up
I won't have to buy a motion plus adapter in order to play? sounds good to me
Re: Starfox: To be, or not to be?
Seeing as there's been a Starfox game on every system since the series' inception, I'd say it's inevitable.
I hope it's more like Lylatwars than Assault however.

Re: Impressions: Classic Controller Pro
oh god those fingerprint smudges!!
please give it a wipe of your sleeve. I beg you!

Re: Wii Internet Channel Now Free!
As long as it's a NES game of your choice and not something like Volleyball or whatever, then I'm happy.
Re: Amazon Leaks Zelda: Spirit Tracks UK Release Date
"(down from a RRP of £39.99)"
£40 for a DS game?! Surely no retailer would actually charge that!
Re: Flipnote Petition Says "We Want Smash Bros. DS!"

Re: Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver Get Western Release Window
Not sure if I'll get this - I have the means to catch every single Pokemon via other games anyway, and I have the original.
I'll probably pick it up anyway though. I'm a Pokemaniac.

Re: Miles Edgeworth EU Release Date Announced
I'll definitely be getting this - I love all 4 Ace Attorney games so far
Re: Bonsai Barber Giveaway: Get Your Free Seeds Now
yep, I got that email as well. I wonder how long they'll take to arrive.
The tension is unbearable
Re: Bonsai Barber Giveaway: Get Your Free Seeds Now
Free stuff? hell yeah!
I'll probably give them to my Dad so he can grow them. I know nothing about that sort of thing
Re: Animal Crossing CD Album Coming Soon
KK looks absolutely stoned in that picture! (the eyes!)
I guess it fits in with his whole 'guitar strummin' dude' persona
Now we know how he's so chilled out the whole time. I like him even more now

Right, That's it! We have to declare war on Oxygen Games!

Dublin's not in the UK guys...

Re: Review: Wario Land: Shake It! (Wii)
This game is brilliant. One of my favourites on the Wii for sure.
The music and graphics are tremendous, and if you want to go for 100% completion it will take a long time.
Re: Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 Takes to the Field in Autumn
I feel sorry for anyone who bought 2009 a couple of months ago, seeing as it will be out of date in record time!

Re: Review: SEGA Superstars Tennis (Wii)
I had this game and totally hated it. It was unplayably bad.
Re: Review: Golf (Virtual Boy)
The save feature mystery is very strange. Are you sure it wasn't just a case of the internal battery being dead after 12 years?
Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June - 1st July 2009 addendum (JAPAN)
Seeing as it's Japan, I wouldn't be surprised if that dressing up game is exclusively aimed at children!

The only thing I care about here is whether or not we get a new Rogue Squadron game. Even porting the original to the VC would be a great.
