Nintendo's online is currently pretty terrible. I can't see anyone wanting to pay for it at all unless it vastly improves

The All-Stars version, while hard, saves automatically after each stage and even if you get Game Over you start right back on the level you died at. Is this the case with the original here, or does Game Over send you right back to 1-1?

now that you mention it, how much cooler would it be if they made Black and White literally black and white like the 1st gen games. Complete with 8-bit music and weird sprites? I'd love it, anyway...

What an interesting article. It really annoys me that in 2010 Nintendo are releasing 50Hz games - especially since only the most ancient of TVs are incapable of running 60Hz

I actually really don't like this game. Combat is repetitive and the black borders make the whole thing completely unplayable. I can see why people like it, because the visuals are undeniably stylish, the music is cool and the announcers are full of character, but I'm just not feeling it at all.

I'm totally new to the Castlevania series. Should I go for this or Castlevania IV to begin with? I heard that Castlevania IV is the best.

Yeah I agree it's a bad move. With the impending release of Super Mario Galaxy 2 I feel that I might be tempted to save my pennies til June instead and get this later - which is a shame, as I enjoyed the original.

the only bad thing is, it maybe looks a bit TOO similar to the first game. I even heard the same music at points in that trailer. But at least the Super Mario World music is in there so it's all good. I'm not trying to be nagative. It'll still be an amazing game

I might have to hold off until Christmas, or at least Autumn. Mario Galaxy just seems like such a Christmassy game! I can't imagine playing it in June :/

I have the first one and don't like it so I'm giving this a miss. The best game of this type I enjoyed the most was International Track and Field on N64. That was perfect...apart from wrecking your controller and hand

that looks like a lot of fun. I probably would have loved it as a kid since I loved building lego and other stuff - I would have freaked out if I saw that track designer.

Rebel Strike was anything but great. One of the biggest disappointments ever after how great the first two games were.

the only part of this that I don;t like is the "episode 1" - I don't want to have to pay loads to buy loads of parts seperately when they should just make it the one big game on disc.

the BBC are meant to be a publicly funded body paid for by the license fee. They shouldn't be pursuing commercial ventures like releasing games to make a profit. The games will be terrible anyway...

I can't see it being a sequel. The pointing of the hoover/ torch would fit the wii remote control scheme well I think

I've been playing this game since yesterday but so far I'm not really digging it. I like the setting and the story, but Standard Grade maths problem solving questions tend to make me frustrated rather than make me relaxed and having fun

This game is really good. It deserves far more attention and sales than I suspect will get unfortunately. At least we can try and change that though, so everyone who likes the look of this game; go out and buy it!

I'm just praying for a Shenmue track set in Dobuita or Yokosuka Harbour...

Wario Land is one of my favourite Wii games - grab it while you can everyone!

why do Square Enix have to publish it when it's on Wii Ware? Why does it need a publisher at all for that matter? I thought the whole point of WiiWare was to remove the publisher from the process?

to put it into perspective, there are only 5 million people in Scotland.

like others have said, on harder difficulties, rubber band AI is in full effect, but this is still arguably the best Mario Kart game ever made, and anyone who has never played it really has no option but to get it as soon as possible!

Street Racer was the 3rd game I ever got - great fun

Super Mario Kart is the best in the series. It's actually challenging - which is more than can be said for the newer versions.

what a great idea. I already downloaded the demos for Bit Trip Beat and Nyx Quest. Without the demos I probably would never have played these games. For me Wii Ware tends to get ignored underneath all the retail releases, but the demo service has made me actually take notice. Bit Trip Beat was a bit average I thought, but I really liked the look of Nyx Quest. I really enjoyed the 10 minutes I spent playing the demo. Definitely will consider buying the full game now.

all of EA's Wii games are inferior versions of their 360/PS3 counterparts - maybe that's part of the problem

Gamestation died when Game bought it over. It used to be awesome before that with all the random merchandise, retro stock and dirt cheap 4 for £20 offers.

If New Play Control version comes out I'll definitely consider it. This was one of those games that I completely missed seeing as it came out right at the end of the GameCube's life. It looks totally bizarre!

I'm torn between Mega Man 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Metroid, Kid Icarus and Castlevania. I have Mario 3 All-Stars version on the SNES so I'm leaning towards Mega Man 2 right now which I've never even played. I'm just concerned that it's going to be too old-school hard and thus result in rrrraaaage

Also, is the deadline for claiming definitely the 31st of December? because I'd like to hold off for a bit and not rush into the decision - I'm in the middle of other games at the moment anyway.

£15 for a money-box? No thanks. Had it been a free pre-order bonus I would have been all over it. A bit of a shame
