I’m hoping we get the (rumored) port of Red Dead Redemption 2. I played once on PS4 but I’d love to do another play through on the switch 2. There’s so much to do in that game I feel like it would be perfect to just pick up and play for a few minutes(or hours!) in handheld.

Stardew Valley in 4K 60fps is going to be off the hook!!!

The problem I have with Metroid games is that if I put it down for more than a couple days and then pick it back up, I forget where I am, where I’ve been and where I’m supposed to go next so I often just give up. I’ve restarted Prime Remastered multiple times like this and would estimate I get about halfway through each time. I’ve never beaten it.

Is Red Dead Redemption (resolution and framerate bump) a contender? Most enjoyment I’ve had on my switch 2 so far!

I found cyberpunk confusing and complicated and like I was only half assing everything so I stopped playing.

I had the demo of the first game. That was enough. It was sorta fun but I was sick of the game by the time the demo ended.

This is relatively low cost option of both pacifying the masses and sucking people back into this world before they drop the $70 remastered RDR 2 soon!

This is great news. I played this on Xbox 360 when it first came out and then again a few years ago on switch so since I already own it and the upgrade is free I’ll likely give it another go.

Can’t help but think RDR 2 would
be perfect on switch 2. I do own a PS4 copy
and it’s an all time great, but it’s a pretty slow, drawn out game that might benefit from small doses in handheld IMO.

This reminds me…….when are we getting Red Dead 2 on Switch 2? Gotta be any day now that GTA 6 is delayed again………give us our binky Rockstar!!

That’s the upside to never owning a different console other than nintendos. I thought the game looked and played great on the switch.

@Doctor-Moo Wii U was backwards compatible with the Wii. It came with a sensor bar, it just didn’t include the Wii-motes.

Sega is going to bring “blast processing” like they did in 1991. Sega does what Nintendont.

Looks just like metroid prime remastered. I got bored with that and didn’t bother finishing it. Shooters aren’t my thing. I did like Dread though. I’m going to pass. Metroid is a niche game and not on par with Mario and Zelda titles. Probably why Nintendo never bothered to remaster 2 and 3. It just doesn’t sell.

Can’t believe GTA V is still consistently top 5…….. Although I would literally triple dip purchase if rockstar were to ever port it to the switch as well.

They are remaking Luigi’s Mansion 2 while I’m still over here playing Ocarina of Time with clunky controls and almost 30 year old graphics, SMH! 🤦‍♂️

RC ProAm is the shiznit!

This game is inspired by the “Kill Bill” movies……with Princess Peach playing the Uma Thurman character.

Zelda went back in time, thus altering the space/time continuum. She created an alternate timeline in which the shrines from BOTW didn’t exist and the new set of shrines existed in their place. There was no way to produce the 1.21 jigowatts of electricity needed to power the flux capacitor in her secret stone at that time, thus needing to turn herself into a dragon to return to her present time, which was the alternate version of that time.

I can’t have multiple games going at once. For me, it will be TOTK for the foreseeable future until I’ve completed enough of it to just go ahead and finish the story. After that it will be Pikmin 4 until I’m done with that.

Ultra hand. I wouldn’t have wasted $70 bucks on the game. I literally stopped playing. It’s so obvious when you are supposed to use it, and so pointless. It’s just busy work as far I’m concerned and it’s lazy. It’s like when my wife buys furniture that I need to spend a half day putting together. Just pay a little more to get it already put together and save me the time and energy. Just a stupid gimmick.

Having to ultrahand rafts and such together is just tedious and not fun.

I thought the tutorial area was rather boring. If I was new to the series or didn’t have faith that the rest of the game was going to be outstanding(I loved both my play throughs on BOTW) I might have shelved it.

When is this going to be available to rent at Blockbuster?

I had the Tyson one. I remember taking the wrapping paper off the box one Christmas and seeing that cover. Great memory! Nostalgia wins for me!!

@antisumo thanks, I will. I’m only a few hours in, I just got to the village the greybeards are in. Did a few side quests. I’m enjoying it, I just can’t get over the style of fighting, especially after already playing through The Witcher and BOTW. I’m trying to keep in mind it’s over ten years old!

Playing this game for the first time. It has the clunkiest combat controls ever! OMG, it’s laughable.

In non-Nintendo related news……I can’t believe GTA 5 is still on this list! Isn’t it 8 years old at this point?

I’ll play this for about 15 minutes……until I realize that it looks and plays like hot garbage. This is the same thing I do upon release with all the N64 games I played to death and loved as a kid.

I loved the first one…..until I got I think about halfway through and the difficulty got too much for me. I’m don’t have much experience with turn based rpgs though.

That’s too bad. RDR1 is one of my favorite gaming memories. The part where you cross over into Mexico for the first time and that Jose Gonzales song plays while you ride your horse blew my mind the first time I played it. I was fully submersed in that game. I hooked up the old 360 a couple years ago and gave it another exteremly enjoyable play through. Wouldn’t think twice about forking over full price to have it on the switch, even just as a straight port.

Not sure if there is a licensing issue with this one, but RC Pro Am was one of my faves as a kid. Would love to play that again.

EA sports titles were the best thing about the Genesis in the early to mid-90s. I’d love to be able to fire up a quick game of NHL 94 or Madden 93 on my switch someday. I suppose I’ll keep dreaming though! Ahhh!

Genesis controller is priced higher because both Sega and Nintendo need to make money on it. Nintendo doesn’t have to share profits on the SNES pad.

Speaking of N64 controllers……still waiting on a re-stock for my switch online……and waiting, and waiting……

Any word on when Nintendo will have more of these available for purchase? I have so much muscle memory built in with these games and that controller. I’m not interested in forking out $150 USD or more to a scalper though.

When are they going to have more N64 controllers available? Seeing as I played all these on that controller back in the day, it feels odd playing them with the modern controllers. Waiting for one of those to really dive in to this part of the service.

I played through AC2 on my old 360 and loved it. I also played through Black Flag on the WiiU and loved that even more. Bought Black Flag for my switch thinking I’d give it another play though and I think I played it for about 15 minutes total…….so while I heartily recommend this for someone new I don’t think I’ll be picking it up.

Does anybody know if there is a walkthrough or a strategy guide for this game? I’m finding it difficult. Bosses are really tough!!
