Re: Soapbox: It's Time To Normalise Giving Up On Games Early

Hinade

I never think a game I played has a boring middle or start. Also almost never think a game is too long, most of the time I'm surprised it's already over.

Maybe it's because of the kinds of games I play.

But if you don't like a game ofcourse you should stop playing. I get giving it a chance up to a certain time, but if you really don't want to keep playing then why would you.

Re: Anniversary: It's Super Mario RPG's 25th Birthday!

Hinade

Why do the subtitles and also tge stories themselfs get more passive aggresive by the day.

And we don't even know if they are gonna celebrate Zelda, most of the time a annuversary starts late in a year by Nintendo and then they release things having o do with that anniversary ober a course of like 6 months. I'm not saying they are gonna celebrate it, but weird to assume one way or the other out of nothing.

Re: Gogeta [SS4] Joins The Dragon Ball FighterZ Roster Next Week

Hinade

GT has all my favourite character designs in the Dragonball series, so I'm glad to see some of them in FighterZ. Just missing Omega Shenron and Super 17.

SS4 is also my fav SS transformation, so when Gogeta from Super got announced I was so sad that I probably couldn't get the original anymore but somehow he made it in.

Although 5 Gokus, 2 Gogetas and 1 Vegito is a bit of an extreme overkill.
Aside from that also 3 Vegetas, 2 Brolys, 2 Gohans and 2 Buus.
Still a cool roster, but could have been a lot better.

Re: Soapbox: The Modern Games Industry Has A Hype Problem, And It Needs To Stop

Hinade

While I see this a loooot happening on the internet, I myself don't really have the problem.

I expect every game in a series to be worse than the one before it. So I'm basically always content with what I'm given.

This happens because the more succesfull a series becomes the more the developers are going to make it more casual-friendly and streamlined to get even more sales. Those include things that will make said series less to my liking every single time, but I'm glad either way because more sales mean a series surviving longer and I being able play more games in said series no matter that it's a bit less to my liking. And if eventually said series outgrows me because of this then I still look at the bright side: the older games won't dissappear, even if said series is not for me anymore there are still enough other games/series I like and at least there are enough people enjoying the games because the increased sales do come from somewhere.

On another, I like all the Yoshi games you talked about. Yeah, they're very casual but I aleays saw it as a casual series.

Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Skyward Sword Is Good, Actually

Hinade

While Majora's Mask is my favourite Zelda by a long shot. Skyward Sword is probably my second favourite and I'm saying that as someone that started with the series in 2001, having played all 3D games and some 2D ones.

Ofcourse I have some complaints, which include Fi talking to much, overdoing the imprisoned fight a bit to often and always having the message when collecting stuff. (Also would have liked to be able to do more in the sky instead of basically only Skyloft)

But I love Fi, Ghirahim, the Kikwis, all the temples, all the boss designs (some are way too easy though), love the areas, love how they expand and alter areas throughout, love the story, the music, dungeon items and I think I could go on.

Never had any issue with the motion controls to be honest either, always did exactly what I wanted it to do and I played through the game thrice.

Re: Resident Evil Returns To The Big Screen On September 3rd

Hinade

Multiple actors I like, mostly characters from the game instead of oc's for the movie and a director that played the games. Looking forward to this one, hoping for the best but even if it turns out awfull I still have thousands of other movies and games that are more to my liking so it won't phase me that much.

Something I like the last few years is that the people working on big budget video game adaptations are fans of said series that get hired for it, at least that happens more often. Netflix' Castlevania, this movie, Detective Pikachu and the upcoming r-rated Mortal Kombat. They still feel like they are the exceptions though, for example the Monster Hunter movie.

Also looking forword to both the cgi animation and live action Resident Evil series for Netflix.

Re: Why Is Fire Emblem So Dark On Switch? It Reportedly Runs On The Same Emulator Used On Wii U

Hinade

Guy in the tweet in the same thread: "Yes it's a bit dark, but in no scens of the way is this port even remotely lazy."

This whole comment section: "Yeah, we knew it. Nintendo lazy as always because they didn't do the thing I wanted. Even though they did a lot of work, I'm the most important person and if they don't do the thing I want it's 100% lazy and they should be codemned for it." -17 likes- & -22 likes- & -15 likes-

Re: Online Listings For Final Fantasy Physical Twin Pack Surface In Europe

Hinade

Lots of retailers in the Netherlands imported the Asian one. That's how I got mine at Nedgame.

The picture you posted is the same as my copy, missing the pegi rating. It would also explain the release date that already happened.

I think you just found some listings of the Asian version in European shops that have been there for months and reading way to much into it.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Patch Revises Sensitive Dialogue

Hinade

@Mr_Muscle So I guess you also don't watch any movie that's horror, thriller or has a character in it that has been raped, murdered or abused.
It's not about enjoying reading that someone has been abused. It's painting a picture of a characters backstory in which the player hopefully is invested.

Re: Review: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution - A Decent Card Battler For Your Switch

Hinade

@ohhaime I wouldn't call them broken.
There are 5 campaigns (6 but the last one has only two duels).
Duel Monsters, which is completely playable as is.
GX, which almost never had multiple fusions on the field so it will only slightly hamper the experience.
5Ds, where half the time people would have more than one synchro on the field. So it sucks you can only have one, but because of some effects and cards you can easily get multiple on the field like I did. Because the rules state you can only have one extra deck summon on the field, so summoning extra deck monsters from the grave doesn't count. (Which Stardust Dragon can do with his own effect)
Zexal, I think this mechanic-wise get butchered the most out of all. But funnily enough I just cleared it today and was the most fun campaign I've done yet.
Arc-V, can't really tell but might be worse than most.

BUT, when playing the campaigns you can use or the predetermined story deck that imitates the deck that character used in the anime in that specific duel. (Which all the complaints are about, which includes the people on amazon.)
Or you could use a self made deck which get rid of all the complaints, but could be way too powerfull if you're a good deckbuilder so maybe don't make it to overpowered.

I have cleared 4 of the 5 campaign atm and only used the predetermined story decks and had a lot of fun. I have watched all the animes multiples times each which helps though. (Although quite some conversations get dumbed down a lot compared to the anime.)

Any remaining questions?
I hope it helped!

Re: Review: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution - A Decent Card Battler For Your Switch

Hinade

@Anri02 Every anime they adda new kind of card.

Duel Monsters = Started Yu-Gi-Oh

GX = Didn't add anything but all ace monsters of the characters were fusion monsters and the anime was heavily centered around fusion monsters.

5Ds = Synchro , in the extra deck like fusion.

Zexal = Xyz (pronounced as ex-eez) in the extra deck like fusion.

Arc-V = Pendulum , in the main deck and is half monster card and half spell card. Goes to extra deck instead of graveyard after being destroyed.

VRAINS = Link , in the extra deck like fusion.

They all have their own set of rules in how the can be summoned and sone exclusive mechanics. If you really want to know more I could explain. But I doubt it cause your comments read sarcastic.

Re: Review: Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy Of The Duelist: Link Evolution - A Decent Card Battler For Your Switch

Hinade

Draws can't be to random. The whole game is about the draw phase that adds a random card to your hand.

Seasons? No. Duel Monsters is the original. GX, 5Ds, Zexal, Arc-V and VRAINS are all spinn offs. All of them have their own 5 or 4 seasons each.

"From Zexal to Arc-V" What? Why from the 4th to the 5th series? Don't you mean from Duel Monsters/the original to Arc-V (and even 3 VRAINS matches).

It's a great game though, have 65 hours in it in one week.
Best thing about it is that it has all cards up to at least October 2018.
Compared to most other Yu-Gi-Oh tcg games it lacks in fun story mode and presentation though. But it's both good enough, having lot's of fun.

Would have loved it if you could turn off the banlist in duels against people on your friendlist. And if you could revert back to master rule 3 in duels against people in your friendlist (and story mode). But I kinda get why it isn't added.
