Netflix has released its official trailer for the fourth season of the Castlevania animated series (warning - contains swearing).
The story continues with Trevor Belmont and Sypha as they investigate plans to resurrect Dracula, while Alucard struggles to embrace his humanity. As reported by Deadline earlier this month, the fourth season is the final one and is expected to run for a total of 10 episodes.
@NetflixGeeked This is where it all started. The final season of Castlevania arrives May 13.
Although this is the final season for Castlevania, Netflix apparently has plans for a spin-off series set within the same universe and featuring an "entirely new cast of characters".
What do you think of the fourth season trailer? Will you be watching when it is released on 13th May? Leave a comment down below.

Hopefully it’ll be better than S3
Kinda unfortunate they want to end it already but I guess they don't want it to get stale. I mean how many times can they rehash plots about dracula being ressurected? The games do it over and over but as a show people would get bored.
Hopefully they finally Castle the Vania.
They shouldn't have killed Dracula in S2, that way this series would have gone a bit longer, exploring deeper storylines. But well... I guess this is the end for this run.
@Zeldafan79
I wouldn’t be bored. It’s kind of a Castlevania thing you know. Honestly I’m disappointed that the castle didn’t crumble in S2 and Grant has been missing as well.
The trailer is awesome. I think they will finally introduce Death!
"Aaahhh Alucard. What is your business here?"
Really like the show and I get why they killed him season 2, because what if it got canceled without having the "final battle". But also would have been cool to have it at the end of the series/season 4.
Interested in how S4 is going to be. And really hope the spin off rumour is true.
I wish the Dracula for this final season would just be a live action insert of Tommy Wiseau.
The little hints in that trailer got me hopeful that Death is finally going to show his boney face.
@Varkster "Maybe Johnny is vampire, we'll see"
I want to see Soma Cruz in the next series.
@antonio2244 I think Richter and Soma are the two most-likely eras of Castlevania to get featured in the animated series after the current series wraps up, if only because Alucard is involved with both of these stories, and Alucard is of course the fan-favourite.
If we are getting Soma at some point, I think it would only really happen after an entire Richter story happens first.
I would personally like to see a Shanoa story myself however.
One of the best animations watched so far, including attack on Titans.
@Hinade This. I guess they weren't sure of it's success and maybe planned for just 2 seasons at first.
I liked all seasons so far and look forward to watch the final season.
Yes please.
Fan of this series. Looking forward to this.
Really wanna see a Hector and Issac spinoff given how badly Hectors been treated and Issac is just a treat everytime he's on screen.
Lovely trailer, but be warned:
1% action
99% talking
@HotGoomba Maybe they'll pile the secrets or something IDK I never read the book.
JOJO > Castlevania
But both have been a blast
Just when I started rewatching it to refresh my memory. Hype!
Also why did people dislike s3? Sure it didn't blow me away but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Not watching the trailer b/c I haven't seen season 3 yet, haven't had Netflix in over a year at least, but I'll add it to teh very extensive list for when I sign back up this summer, a lot of catching up to do.
Does Netflix still drop all of it's episodes at once? It's been awhile for me but everything else I watch on Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and HBO Max has been doing the weekly route, so I've sort of become used to it, but for a show like this I wouldn't' mind binging my way through in a day. Season 1 of Castlevania was four 20 minutes episodes if I remember correctly, 1 movie sliced into quarters. Season 2 was a legit season though.
I hope they bring Dracula back. He was easily the best thing about season 1-2, season 3 was a bit boring with out him.
I liked season 3 although I admit it had the same hurdles to jump similar to sections of GoT and The Wire season 2. Your main players have spread out and you need to build on their arcs to bring them back together. It was more chill but still entertaining.
I think this is the best video game adaptation I have ever seen and generally a really well done show. I can’t wait as it looks epic.
