Famitsu's Japanese chart figures are now in for 14th - 20th October, revealing that Ring Fit Adventure has managed to score a number one in its opening week.

Well-deserved. Ring Fit is a great game.
Nintendo Switch still doing the business in Japan, the holiday period is going to be insane.
It's a pretty slow week to be fair but glad to see Ring Fit doing well. I've just about convinced myself to take the plunge.
Shocking figures for Witcher 3 though. I guess we mark this up as just not being a Japan type of game?
Love the Ring Fit Adventure. My body is sore, but love it.
Goodness, someone did their market research well
Looking forward to seeing the hardware sales when Pokemon S&S releases. They will be juicy.
Have I read right? Switch nearing 10m sales in Japan?
@Ooccoo_Jr well it’s an older game, and it’s up against DQ11s which while old has a ton of new stuff (oh the music...) I think it did pretty well to hit the top ten.
The only thing holding me back from Ring Fit is time constraints, and the gym membership I have, which I can probably solve just by alternating what I do. Glad it's doing well, I love it weird, quirky stuff like this. Probably won't reach Wii Fit levels of success, but finding a good balance between exercise and gaming is an achievement all its own.
I'm upset that digimon cyber sleuth didn't chart. I know it's Japan and they don't really buy ports. Only a few really sell there. Still expected Digimon to make top 10. Nice to see the witcher there, though.
Not sure I'm up for putting out $79.99 right now, but I am looking forward to getting Ring Fit Adventure at some point. I actually really liked the Wii Fit games, and this one seems like it's more actual game than those were. Maybe ever a better workout, to boot!
TW3 numbers don't surprise me. Unless it's DQ or MH, the Japanese don't seem to buy ports.
Minecraft lifetime 97.000 sales.. how?
Last time it was around 900.000.
You're certainly missing a number in there.
I hope Switcher has done good business in general, the team deserve it
I've done more excercise in the last 5 days thanks to RFA than I did in the last 5 years. RFA is definitely a lot of fun
Nice! I want Ring Fit Adventure.

Na, it did Ring Fit Adventure numbers first week on PS4 (on 1/3 the install base the Switch has now)

This is just an old port people already played and a crazy 7,100 Yen price.
@Ooccoo_Jr I think in general Japanese people don’t really go for the scowling white man art style. They tend to find realistic looking western games quite boring.
The Switch is almost at 10 million systems sold in Japan, that's crazy.
It's Currently at 9,608,072. Makes me wonder if it'll hit 10 million before November is out.
Nice numbers for ring fit adventure. I’m having a lot of fun with it. I bet we’ll see lots of fitness / RPG hybrid clones in the next few years. I’m can imagine a dance / RPG hybrid could work for the Just Dance crowd.
Nice that Ring Fit Adventure is doing well, hopefully soon other dev (maybe Sega) could bring some innovation using that ring accessory.
Don't worry Sony, you've got ONE game on the list.
@eltomo yes
@SquareOneMJ it did well in uk
I just got the game last night, and sadly i got a minor bug on the game but i know what it is.
I really am happy that the game is doing well, since it does look like so much fun. ;7;...
