@Dpishere This review is not representative of the quality of what you do receive (for a paltry £15)— a great game. The multiplayer was never good enough to dock at least 20% from the game’s score. The multiplayer was always crap.
Considering that the multiplayer of Turok 2 was always a poorly executed afterthought, which Iguana more than made up for with Rage Wars, the exclusion here is honestly nothing.
I really can’t make sense of all these people whining, unless they’ve muddled up Turok 2’s lacklustre multiplayer with Rage Wars?
In all honesty, to award this game 6/10 is a complete joke, and a huge injustice to such an excellent single player experience. What did you guys give Crash flipping Bandicoot again?
I love Turok 2, but the multiplayer was absolutely the worst part of the game, so I’m not bothered with its exclusion here. I’d rather see Rage Wars— a far superior multiplayer experience.
The single player campaign of Turok 2 was an incredible technical achievement for its time, and via this faithful port, the game still holds up extremely well today.
Where’s your review guys? One of the best FPS adventures of all time just launched on the eShop. Hop to it.
@Zuljaras I understand what you mean, but it is problematic. And it is very easy for this man to shift the blame for his actions onto a mental health condition, rather than take personal responsibility.
@Zuljaras
Having a mental condition has nothing to do with being abusive or aggressive.
People with aspergers are just as likely to be overtly kind and helpful. Choosing to latch onto a negative trait, instead of positive ones, perpetuates an unjust phobia against people who need your support and understanding—not blanket negative assumptions about them based on their disabilities.
@Adamapple Yeah, I agree. I felt that the backlash was disproportionate, and unprofessional on the part of Nintendo Life. It looked a lot to me like online bullying, which I can’t imagine is good for the site’s public image as a family friendly site. Yeah, the guy criticised the writing—cry me a river. It’s called a thick skin, and it’s a well known prerequisite in journalism.
I honestly think NLife should apologise for this poor conduct. It leaves a very poor impression.
It’s a shame the legacy of Mighty Number 9 lives on. It could inadvertently affect the sales of new Mega Man esque games. It does look similar, to the layman.
@SmaggTheSmug Regardless, it makes the Switch look like a hand-me-down console. Which hurts it’s credibility in the market. It needs to be up front, on the cutting edge. Not hanging around the bargain bins.
@SmaggTheSmug Those would be almost tolerable excuses if we weren’t just a month away from release. The lack of a legitimate reason for the delay compounds frustration, and looks arrogant.
Meanwhile, people can’t be bothered waiting, and buy the PS4 version instead. Switch gathers dust.
Nintendo will not be happy about this either. I hope they make some angry phone calls, preferably an unannounced site visit.
Nonsense like this hurts the Switch. AAA third party titles need to be seen as having equal priority, otherwise people won’t bother with the Switch version. Which means the Switch will pale in significance.
@SwitchVogel Agreed. If they are going to delay it for one specific audience, they should at least be humble and respectful enough to provide a legitimate reason for the delay, instead of a smart ass copout excuse like ‘causality’.
It does nothing but make them appear arrogant and even mocking of their consumer base.
Customer is always right. Not sure who their PR guy is, but someone needs fired.
This has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth, I won’t lie.
It’s hard not to imagine that the Switch version has been treated as low priority. Symptomatic of port problems of the past, for which Nintendo fans have traditionally suffered worst.
@Kirgo What are you talking about?
They could ask about these things in literally any interview with the company.
This is the problem with games journalism. The desire not to rock the boat has killed any investigative, interrogative elements whatsoever, and this is BAD for consumers.
If they expect you to buy into their products, they should also respect and be open to questioning, especially by a videogame news outlet.
Influence shouldnt affect journalistic integrity. It’s not in the public interest.
Can somebody at Nintendo Life please investigate why exactly we aren’t getting really painfully obvious features such as the ones stated in this article?
It seems like there is an awful lot of conjecture and a lot of simply putting up with the ridiculous.
Arent you guys in a position to lobby the desires and concerns of Nintendo fans to the company themselves?
@Bunkerneath But instead of oompa loompahs it’s a sweat-shop style production line of Toads and Goombas assembling Switches, with the Mario Overworld theme playing on an endless loop.

Re: Review: Turok 2: Seeds of Evil - A Painfully Incomplete Version Of An N64 Classic
“Until support for multiplayer is patched in or addressed in some shape or form, we’re forced to give this N64 classic a score it doesn’t deserve.”
Then you aren’t doing your job as an honest reviewer, are you?

Just plain ridiculous, NLife. As per.

Re: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Voice Actor Gets Credit Removed Following Admissions Of Abuse
@Zuljaras
Does a person require a mental health condition to be violent or abusive? I thought most humans were capable of that.

BUMS!
Re: Facebook Explains Why Devolver Digital's GRIS Advertisement Was Rejected
@saintayu I don’t think you understand what censorship means, then.
This is the definition of censorship. It’s pathetically absurd.
But yeah, defend Facebook. Like they need you, or care about your rights.
Delusional kids these days 🙄

Re: Jim Carrey Confirms He Will Be Playing Dr. Robotnik In Upcoming Sonic Movie
This is going to be a train wreck. Hard to watch, but grimly entertaining nonetheless.
Re: Jim Carrey Confirms He Will Be Playing Dr. Robotnik In Upcoming Sonic Movie
@Leecpfc I think Carrey suffered far more from that episode than you might be giving him credit for.

Re: Fake Nintendo Switch Game Piracy Software Is Bricking Systems
@AlexOlney
@djfuts
To provide an impartial perspective on this, I believe @djfuts is in fact correct.
To clarify: ‘Acts’ in the context of this sentence means the plural form of the word ‘Act’. The grammar means, undisputedly, more than one act.
What it should say, in the context of the sentence, is:
'This act’s a reminder that it’s simply not worth the risk when it comes to pirating games on the Nintendo Switch.'
The correct form is ‘act’s’, meaning
‘act is’.
Sorry @AlexOlney, but you are wrong about that one.
Did you perhaps read the sentence wrong, as:
‘This acts as a reminder....’
as in the verb, ‘to act’?

What’s that? An outdated 80’s pop culture reference mobile game from 2012??
Well you just stay right there while I go grab my wallet!
Re: Video: Check Out The Launch Trailer For Runner3
Looks fantastic. Reminds me of Rayman Legends, but in Bit Trip style. Great.

Animal Crossing Pocket Camp? Waw. Hardcore.
Re: Limited Run Games Is Totally Down For A Physical Edition Of Yooka-Laylee
Game was just too flawed to warrant a physical purchase from me. Which is shame, because it had so much potential.
Sigh.

@ahsan1234 Why did you just link to a Wrestlemania video??

Re: JRPG Another Eden: The Cat That Travels Through Space And Time Is Coming To Switch
Nintendo need to put a stopper on these blatant cash grabs. No more mobile games.

Nicely written review.
Re: Dark Souls: Remastered Will Still Have An Early Network Test
@Koapa Or they’ve delayed the Switch version to cash in on double dipping.
Any way you look at it, it smells bad.

@mgnoodle Silly, patronising comment. Thanks for such a valuable contribution to the discussion.

This is serious, and it needs a robust response.

Re: Nintendo's Online Services Are Down For Russian Users As Officials Block Telegram Messenger
@NightBeast I’m highly sceptical that all allegations against Russia are simply propaganda.
It might be working for you, but that doesn’t write off the entire story as simply speculation. Don’t think you speak for the whole of Russia on this.
Or it must be Nintendo Life’s contribution to the Western anti- Russian conspiracy.
Right?

@riChchestM I’m confused- was that an attempt at humour?
Because if it was, then waw- you are so tone deaf mate.
Re: Billy Mitchell Breaks His Silence To Address Accusations Of Cheating
@sleepinglion It’s an ongoing Nintendo related drama, so it merits reporting.
Re: Billy Mitchell Breaks His Silence To Address Accusations Of Cheating
@QwertyQwerty You should go watch King of Kong. Ridiculously entertaining gaming documentary.
Re: Billy Mitchell Breaks His Silence To Address Accusations Of Cheating
Or you could just get your butt back in front of an arcade unit and reclaim your Kong title, undisputed.
Billy Mitchell is so villainous. He even sells hot sauce.
