Re: Don't Say It Too Loud, But PS5 Has Outsold Wii U In A Year

Grafeaux

Imo...the Wii U did a lot for what it was. A number of games allowed for a unique gameplay opportunity that no past or present game system could afford. Nintendoland was outstanding providing the only game that I am aware of that allowed 5 people to play hide and go seek digitally. Splatoon was by far the greatest inovation on a 3rd person shooter ever made. And without Wii U, the Switch couldn't have come to light. It was an all important step towards portability of gaming. Steam Deck is up next!

ACNH is astoundingly beautiful, bustling with things to do...I honestly can say I have never spent so much dedicated time to a game. This is my first AC experience and I am astonished. So many details and plenty of growth capability. Slow and well-timed unlocks. The expansion patterns are an absolute delight. I'm with Alex...10/10. Such a lovely person!!!๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

This is really an interesting game. Offers a "Just one more turn" feeling. A lot of expansion could be done, but really not too shabby. ๐Ÿ‘

Re: Review: Splatoon 2 (Switch)

@Exy I'm really struggling with the controls. I keep looking down (test fire and Splatfest) when I get inked to assess the map...nothing to see. I really miss the gamepad and button layout. Still excited for the game.

Re: Reminder: Here Are the Times for the Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere

Anyone else feeling my Splatoon 2 pain? I hate all of the controller options. The gamepad was and is how Splatoon should be played. My arms and hands physically hurt to play this game. And I miss the constant map on feature. It is still quite early, but I am gravely distressed for a game that I adore ( my license plate says "INKING"!) I can't say I was able to enjoy the Splatfest...the controls are awful. And I loved motion control on the original. What's a sad Inkling to do? Please Nintendo...patch in the gamepad??!!

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the Splatoon 2 Global Testfire on Nintendo Switch?

Grafeaux

@KittyKatta I really agree with you on the gamepad. I don't know how many times I instinctively looked down to check the map only to see a pro controller in my hands. Hands down the gamepad is how this game was meant to be played. Nonetheless I love Splatoon and will gladly support the Switch version. Nintendo, anyway to patch in the gamepad as a controller on the Switch???

Re: Hey Kids! You Can Hide Nintendo Switch Playtime From Your Parents by Going Offline

As a parent I love this app to monitor and control my kids playtime...However we all discovered this convenient loophole this past weekend while away. I hope they can patch this because it is very handy...For us parental "fuzz" types. Frankly this was a major selling point for my wife. The kids were doing all kinds of chores to earn time. Thanks Nintendo...Now just patch this loophole...Please?

Re: Feature: First Impressions of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Wii U

My boys both have BOTW on their Switches and I am playing it on the Wii U. I've looked over their shoulder and the graphics are smoother, but I can't say I feel jilted because I am playing it on the Wii U. I have had no technical issues whatsoever. The game is just flat out amazing, to quote a kind bearded man from the old country (on Youtube) it is a true "honor" to be able to play this game. Thank you Nintendo!

If you have a Wii U and are not up for getting the Switch at this time, get BOTW for the Wii U. You will not be disappointed in the least. I promise (IMHO).

Re: Splatoon Producer Reflects on the Game's Popularity

Grafeaux

The concepts that Splat๐Ÿ‘€n bring to the gamer are so very unique. Stealth is something sorely lacking in other shooter games. Who doesn't love swimming through ink and sneaking up on other squids??? And I love that my children can play a game that has all of the emotional responses of any other shooter game out there, without blood and guts being spewed on the screen. Thank you Nintendo for this absolute gem of a game!

I just want to thank these gentlemen for one of the finest and most fun games I've ever played. What they have come up with is so intuative, unique, and absolutely family friendly. My hope is that they continue to refine and build on the wonderful mechanics and world they have created; either on the game we have or new iterations. Splat๐Ÿ‘€n on!
