@ShadLink People have complained about Pokemon games before. This is nothing new. The Gen 5 remakes will still eventually happen.

@Max_the_German Poor critical reception? You're exaggerating, sir. The game has a 79 on Metacritic. That's far from poor. Perhaps, poorer than what was expected, but definitely not poor. Makes me wonder what you would call a game with a 37.

@BBBBBBBBBBB It's not a space thing. The Switch Lite has a D-pad in a much smaller form factor. Nintendo stated years ago that it's to keep the joy-cons uniform for all players when being used separately.

@Varoennauraa I wouldn't call it nitpicky at all. Just because you're comfortable with the D-pad buttons doesn't mean everyone else is. These comments alone show how divisive they are.

@darkswabber The leak is that Nintendo is making 2 smaller sizes. The consensus is that they will be 16 & 32GB, but that's obliviously not conformed yet. There is no rumor about a 128GB cart though & considering the price of 64GB carts, it's unlikely to happen. It'd be cool if it did happen, but I think it's just wishful thinking.

Capcom is really going all in on the Switch 2. Love to see it. I definitely did not expect Pragmata to come, but I'll be keeping an eye on it now. I also expect & can't wait to hear about the REmakes 2-4 coming as well.

@Jack_Goetz I'm assuming you have a source for that because I find it incredibly hard to believe that MKW was done 2 years before launch.

@fenlix That's the internal resolution. The output resolution is much higher.

@Elitepatriot It is okay with me. I judge games mostly by the quality of the experience. The length is secondary. Besides, like I already said, this is perfectly in line with the first 3 games, so there's no reason to expect that this one would be significantly different. Not every game I pick up needs to capture my attention for months. Lastly, I 100% most games I play, so I'm sure it will take me longer than 13 hours.

@Elitepatriot That's a crazy expectation considering this is in the same ballpark as the first 3 games.

Mine came 2 days early. It's never happened to me before on a preorder.

@1Kismet I see no reason that would be the case. Even if it looks & runs exactly like Metroid Prime Remastered, it would be amongst the best looking & performing Switch games.

@JayJ Not every game will be for you. If that were the case, you'd go broke very quickly. It's perfectly okay for companies to make experiences that aren't the norm. It may not always work out, but it could pave the way for something fresh, new, or innovative.

@tho_mi Slightly larger? You're minimizing the disparity. The Switch was well over 100M sold in 2022. The Switch 2 was just over 10M when KAR came out. I agree with you though. The comparison in the article makes no sense.

@construx There are actually many titles aside from first party & Cyberpunk that are fully on the cart.

@UpsideDownRowlet @datamonkey it's actually not. The useable space on a 64GB cart is around 60GB. They would have had to compress it further to get it to fit.

@Unit_DTH The console is $450, not $400 & if you're going to add tax to the card, you should add tax to the console as well. In no world have I ever heard anyone say $200 is almost as much as $450. Even the guy who posted that said he was joking.

@Drago201 You can say that, but you have no idea what these developers are using, so that doesn't necessarily make it true.

@Drago201 Nintendo seems to do fine with their own compression technology, but you can't necessarily assume that other developers are taking advantage of it.

@Kroko No, the useable space on a 32GB cart is less than 30GB, so it wouldn't fit.

@KingMike You're definitely right in that it's possible, I just don't think any company would want to take on the additional cost of producing multiple carts for a game without a guarantee that it will perform spectacularly.

@Waluigi451 They are making it & it's not double. It's about 145GB on the PS5, which is about 50% bigger than the original.

@Unit_DTH Almost as much is a stretch. They cost $175 - 220 depending on the brand. That's less than half the price of the console. I got mine on sale on Amazon for $157.

@ROMhaiku When has any game ever came on multiple carts? Multiple discs, sure, but that's not at all the same thing considering how much more expensive carts are.

@AllBLK 100% agreed. And if they had done a 1TB version, I would have been all over it. I imagine that when we get a refresh down the line (possibly an OLED), it will have 512GB.

@metroid02 No, he's right. Zestiria came before Berseria, so Berseria is the title preceding Arise. They came out in 2015 & 2016 respectively. You might be thinking of the PS4 version of Zestiria. That came after Berseria, but the original PS3 version came first.

Maybe I'm just old, but 4-player split screen in handheld mode sounds miserable. I don't think my eyes could handle an 8" screen split 4 ways. Not hating though. I'm super excited for it & will be picking up the physical version the day it drops.

I would say that unofficially it already has. It was 10K behind as of 9/30 according to the earnings report. That was over a month ago. With the numbers it's been doing, it likely did this in the first day or two of the month.

@RiasGremory I agree. Unfortunately, the console has both. Split Fiction is a code in the box for example. Nintendo should've at least completely replaced them with GKCs.

@MrStark You can call it greed if you like, but it's more likely related to the tariffs. Secondly, that record is something only fanboys care about. Nintendo & the rest of us couldn't care less.

@MrStark What downfall? It's already their highest console now considering it's over a month after these numbers. Clearly passing the PS2 isn't a concern for Nintendo, so why are you so worried about it?

@vasteel1ne I'm not saying it doesn't happen because the cases where it has are well documented, but I've ordered close 10 games from them. With the exception of one, they've all come within the 5-6 month timeframe they quoted & the one that didn't was less than a week late. People like to fixate on the negative, but that's clearly not a majority of the experiences.

@Charlirnie Key cards did not replace the code in a box. They exist on the Switch 2 as well. Split Fiction is one, for example. I definitely think they should have though. Having both on the system makes little sense.

@Bats1234 I bought the Switch 2 Editions of both Zeldas even though I already own the originals because I wanted them on the cart.

@Pillowpants I doubt scalpers have anything to do with it. The game isn't a limited time thing & it's not particularly hard to find either.
