Over 360 hours and still addicted to this. I can't make out what this map is about based on those pictures, but if it favours the pick a spot and fire from it brigade I'll probably hate it (but then again. I think all the maps offer everyone solutions if they are willing to try new tactics).
Footage looks terrible, so this is encouraging only in that it might be safe to assume they were showing stuff from the mobile version on massive screen. I don't have any expectation for this, but if the final Wii U product shows more than just minimal effort I'll be quite pleased as I like some of the old ones.
1 good deal out of 16. But a great one: I already own XC and couldn't pass this up. It's also compatible with the offer to buy the Wii game and get £10 off a digital XCX (bringing it down to £40, which isn't too shabby for getting both I guess).
I hope the XC downloads eclipse all the other 'offers' so that NoE might actually realise how terrible this black Friday weekend has been.
Shame the NES games look so dull (colour wise), it does take away slightly from finding them appealing to look at. Not that it's stopped me buying loads.
Have been hoping it would come to the Wii U VC, but might just give in and get all the Square goodies on the Wii mode instead - a minor thing, but it bugs me not storing these games in the same folders as my categorised Wii U VC games.
The biggest crime is that the visuals don't match the MK8 Animal Crossing track. Not played this yet, but it sure looks pretty on my shelf behind sliding doors along with the Amiibo set (which I'm hoping will be compatible with a future main installment on the NX).
To make it fair, I hope they do a buy so many get so much off, with the more you buy the bigger the discount. As per usual, I think anyone who has loads of games is going to lose out, but we'll see.
This game is excellent. Is it hard in places? Boo hoo. As acknowledged, the auto save will have you starting back from where you left/lept off right away. It's really engrossing, definitely up there as a Wii U indie game of the year.
Best movie tie in for me was Aladdin on the Mega Drive, it always tempts me to buy that system again just thinking about it.
So I have Sboopy. 6 is fair - to me such a score means fans of the genre, which most Nintendo players are, will find something in it. The hats, etc, altering what abilities you have, add a nice touch to your choices. Nowhere near finished, it's a small doses kinda game for me.
Shame the ones on the VC won't be getting discounted for tomorrow's Ultra Smash release, I was holding out as the GBA version intrigues me with the RPG elements. I've heard about the poor reviews, and expect one from here, so won't really be paying any attention unless I find out for myself it's a poor outing (to my eyes it looks great - simple, but great). I'm a huge fan of the N64 game, so pity you can't buy it on the European VC on its own if what I've heard about it being only available if you download the Wii U game is true.
"ultimately, the only people who are going to buy it are people that don't have a PS4 or Xbox One. Or, people who have a PS4 or Xbox One, and want to play Nintendo games."
What an expert this man is, let me grab a pen and paper for this.
Is there are story about 3rds getting burned by the Wii, or indeed Ubisoft on the U?
I wonder if it was true and Nintendo have reacted badly and are now just airbrushing it from existence like that Treehouser spilling the localisation beans. Surely they wouldn't cut their noses to spite their face with such an arguably major game they'd be getting. I'd like an official statement whatever the case. If it does come to the Wii U, I hope they give it some exclusive features, both superficial and deep.
If only they'd hurry and put all the Wii virtual console games onto the Wii U's vc - I skipped the Wii and generally dislike switching modes to access Majora's Mask and a few others, but if the likes of all the Square games were added id be over the moon. And time to get Yoshi's Island up there, and why not put up Starfox 2, treats like that would go a long way in pleasing those that have stayed loyal. I may have went off on a tengent...
Golden Axe 3 looked like a Master System game - so utterly dreadful I still can't believe it actually exists. The first two were essential at the time.
Shame no eshop games as there was really nothing on that leaked VC list that I'm inclined to think is real. Have been looking forward to Rodea for ages, it's been pre-ordered since it was available - I just hope the gameplay feels elegant and it has some unexpected quirks, it's a good looking package anyway.
Pre-ordered the special edition. Really looking forward to this, I hope it becomes a cult favourite, but flopping so bad in Japan doesn't seem too encouraging.
What they should have done for US Yoshi was add an extra level, or make the unlockable ones available from the get go (some of them are actually the very best). They delayed the N64 iteration to increase the difficulty, which at least gives an explanation - it seems this time it was to have it 'hatch' at a time where sales should be higher (which they would probably get some respect for if they just admitted to).
On the other side (as it were), you have Devil's Third - there are so many rubbish kiddy stuff on the Wii U, it just seems so over the top to have this game down as the worst thing that's ever happened (in a week where new releases in Europe include Hello Kitty, Snoopy and Adventure Time, I'd happily have a dated, flawed slasher that does at least have some ambition to it).
Glad this particular pitch didn't get off the ground/water - the Wii could play GameCube games anyway and wasn't that much more powerful to give it much more distinction, and those controls sound terrible. I adore Wave Race 64 and the GameCube game just doesn't touch the 'original' N64 version, so I'm glad they didn't get to ruin the memory a second time. It's a major shame the Wii U hasn't got a Wave Race title - here's hoping the NX gets it.

Re: Monster Hunter X (Cross) Storms to Japanese Chart Lead and Boosts New 3DS Sales
Mother (4) of God, those sales are wonderful. I'm almost incredulous. What helped Wii U this week?
Re: Review: Christmas Adventure of Rocket Penguin (Wii U eShop)
What a shame it's not out in Europe.
Re: FAST Racing NEO Release Date and Pricing Speed Into View
Not even a self-consciously low scored review can put me off getting this as soon as it comes out. An amazing price.

I miss Gamesmaster.
Re: The Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 Wii U Bundle Leads the Way in UK Cyber Monday Deals
Amazon prime members may be able to get 20% off if they use the code 'prime20off' - might be worth a try. Decent if not amazing deals.

@The__Goomba supports gamepad - check the eshop page for confirmation, under view more details it will list all compatible controllers.

"obviously" some people have their crystal balls out again if we're back to knowing the NX release date again

They really don't have a clue.

Re: Nintendo Badge Arcade Gets A Mario Kart 8 Turbo Injection
Since it's free and all, I'd like to have it on the Wii U. It looks like decent in between games distraction.

I'd rather get Adventures of Pip over to Europe.

Re: Chief NES Designer Describes Nintendo as an Indie Studio
Well, obviously he's romanticising things a little bit. He's not speaking that seriously, just fondly.
Re: You Can Now Buy A Replacement Wii U GamePad On Its Own
Interesting to estimate how much they could sell the Wii U without one then. Should have had this option from the get go, but this is nothing new.

Almost looks like a new Blast Corps.
Re: Nintendo Download: 26th November (Europe)
I don't think I need more die in the first 10 seconds NES games, and no discounts until the Black Friday announcement, so absolutely nothing.
Re: Review: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U)
@Coreyoli agreed, and even if they made them amiibos unlockable only I wouldn't mind.
Re: Review: Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Wii U)
Well I think the game is good.
'6/10 from a random internet person' might be the best they'll get for a promo sticker at this rate though.

Glad I never bought the one 'wii' do have after that last tweet - humility goes a long way regarding online conduct.

Melodramatic, much? Same old basically, it plays and looks really nice, but nothing new is really added.

I was hoping they'd have put all there tennis games on discount like they did Kirby. Oh welll.
Re: Video: Nintendo Makes a Holiday Pitch for Wii U 'Magical Nights'
Skip the family stuff and add in Mario Kart, Bayonetta, DKC, Yoshi, 3D World and Xenoblade. Otherwise I liked the bit at the start.
Re: Take a Look at Nintendo's Game Awards 2015 Nominees
Splatoon is my Wii U game of the year by far - only Xenoblade can dwarf it... MM is still a console-defining game though.
