I'll wait for the inevitable discount on yoshi during the wooly world window, but that's my sole interest out of that bunch. If only they finally give us a certain SNES title to celebrate the ocaision too
I want the Mario Kart arcade games, plus other coin machine titles that never got ported like the 32-bit Golden Axe. I'd want Saturn games, but if we're sticking with Nintendo I want much more N64 games, and next console should maintain the backwards compatibility with the two Wii platforms, but if it comes after the next hand held, be able to play that library too to build on what I'd imagine will be a safer launch. Its just a shame they can't have a department able to churn them out as I'd buy heaps of games if they were plenty available at special buy more save more prices.
Big Blue is very Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed, but narrowly I chose Woods as it has just got so much to look at. I really like Animal Crossing, but not being able to choose the season on time trial, or even having 4 laps in one race to change seasons 4 times each race, is a bit of a niggle for me. Baby Park is just fine, Ribbon is really appealing, but they missed a trick not having some sort of visual nod to amiibo toys in there too. Cheese is sometimes tough to not veer off track or bump into things, but visually its almost a dud (but improving my timing has had its rewards here). I think the city track looks awesome with the rain, but it lacks something truly exhilirating. I wrote the railway off, but I now love it and I've yet to really try different route options. 200cc is very good, but its not always a perfect fit so hope it remains a dlc feature in the future. They should probably say 4 new characters, but I still prefer link or Rosalina with her sarcastic "alright" always raising a smile.
Time to let it be, the add on content has cemented just how jaw dropping and delightful this game truly is. Enough of the battle mode crying - if they didn't want to delay anymore then surely battle modes would have been included on top of the two cups each time. They should save vintage battle modes for the next console installment.
My minor criticism would be not getting to choose the season of Animal Crossing for time trial (and i thought the seasons would change for each successive lap, meaning 4, but obviously i was wrong), not having your time trial top 5 visible, the game pad as rear view mirror, and no more duplicate charactersnon the roster (like the boy or girl villager they should just have different options once you select Mario or whoever).
Console pack is a good deal, but the separate price options are simply going to make the "worth, selling for" deals elsewhere be purchased straight away. I'll only be buying one colour - if each variant opens up new stuff that's really bad I think, £70+ on a game isn't something I want to be doing.
The moaning about it almost makes me sympathize, but apart from online reviews and finding a walkthrough without annoying commentary (and I can always turn the volume off) I couldn't care less. This went a bit beyond 'fan content' so taking it down was perfectly fine. I thought it looked kinda rubbish anyway, but a proper HD re-make would be jawdropping. It's only the greatest game of all time.

Re: Ninterview: Jeremy Parish On Cataloguing The History Of The Game Boy, One Game At A Time
Good on him but...
"What makes the Game Boy so special to you personally?
Nothing, really! I didn't own a Game Boy until Game Boy Color."
...makes me wish this was done by someone who lived and breathed this platform, but this will be pretty must-read all the same.

I clicked because of online bans. Oh well, fell for it.

There it is again, "but I suspect that is part of the appeal" - no it blooming well isn't.

Anyway, the game is colossal.

Re: Legend of Kay Anniversary Set for Budget Retail Release on Wii U This Summer
Finally, some news. I pre-ordered this for £18. Not expecting a game-changer, just something solid and pleasing.
