I actually am impressed and thankful that I preordered it 3 months ago and that I missed the opportunity to buy the original back in 2011, although I still have my Wii fully functional and could have done it at any point in the last 10 years (back in 2011 I got Twilight Princess instead, still not finished it, maybe with an HD upgrade for Switch I would).
Also those who whined about the Loftwing Amiibo can shut up now and enjoy the game as it is

@basswitch well the irony is that most of the Sonic games, Sonic Colors and Sonic Advance series included, have been exclusive to Nintendo platforms, more than the multiplatform stinkers. Also it has been the anniversary of what was once the competitor to Mario. Once it’s gone, it’s back to reporting rumors and soapboxes related to Switch

@basswitch 1991 called, they want their 'tude back. Sonic is no longer a console maker mascot. Also Nintendo first embraced Sonic after Sega's console business went bust. So it's not too much

Although I grew up playing the first Sonic Adventure on PC, I had a demo disc containing the second game's first few levels. I wish so bad they'd remaster or remake The Adventure games as they were both top notch!!
Also had a friend who owned a copy of the game on Dreamcast and told me about how addictive and unique the Chao Garden was, I was fascinated by how it utilized the VMU unit

I understand that the Switch audience is big enough to support every denomination out there and that’s fine with me. However thinking that people should re-examine their life just because they don’t agree with certain themes or characters is a bit anti-“freedom of speech” but whatever.
We can express our gratitude or disgust about anything as long as it is well-mannered and justified.
As for me, I really feel a bit uneasy when furries are involved. However I enjoyed Undertale, which is clearly an lgbt-friendly game, but it has a compelling plot and good character development.

It's better than nothing I guess, tried both Control and Hitman but beyond the notion of playing them on a Switch, it kills the whole "play home console games anywhere", as I don't have unlimited data plan and I had some fluctuations with the wifi connection. Might play at least the demo, get its feel and then send it back to the abyss

The story sounds great and compelling, however I've seen Flash games on Newgrounds from 1999 that have more replayability than this. Those perfect scores would be understandable, if they would have come from literary critics and such. As for me, with the exception of Ace Attorney and maybe Famicom Detective Club, I just don't consider visual novels real games

Not gonna lie, it looks gorgeous, however I'm putting money aside for Skyward Sword and those beautiful joycons

Can't wait for the whole Switch Pro upgrade bulls**t to blow up into everyone's faces. So sick and tired about the rumors. This is getting beyond cringe and proves that fanboys really are ***** and that journalists really have nothing new to write about when it comes to the Switch
Not saying that the console doesn't deserve an upgrade but COME ON!!! 2 f***ing YEARS of nothing being endlessly shared on the internet like it's a schoolyard and people actually believing the crap spouted by ANALysts and such...
It is more likely that Nintendo will release a next-gen console before they go on "PS4 Pro route" with any current system of theirs, and it STILL won't be as powerful or even close to whatever Sony and Microsoft will release in the future

How many times will people need to be told :

One thing is for sure, Switch Pro won’t be released this year and everyone who followed the leaks (fecal-quality tbh) will have eggs on their faces. Dumb idea for the moment, with the pandemic-driven chip shortage crisis going on and the huge momentum that the regular Switch still has.

Great game but the Switch port plays worse than the iOS port... Hopefully the sequel will be optimized at 60 fps for Switch

@Alemates Not even that, there were circulating rumors for a few months about the game under the "Project Sonic 2022" nickname, much like Sonic Forces ("Project Sonic 2017"), so there was almost nothing out of common during the stream as everything has been leaked before it.
The only surprise would be if Sonic Rangers will perform slightly above mediocre

Otherwise, they are both great games and I wish someday I’ll get to play ALBW on Switch in remastered form, never had a 3DS

@nimnio 30 fps with awful dips especially during the final boss fight, they gave up on finding solutions for improving performance

Maybe this time around they'll optimize the graphics and framerate so it won't play like dung on Switch

So we can expect that this collection will include only the Taxman remakes, which in my view beats any previous Sonic collections (the emulated Mega Drive games just don't play that well anymore)

@BlueOcean Pretty sure that they won't plan to do extra work to remaster Sonic 3, otherwise they would have shown it now. It's SEGA after all. Or they would have shown the Sega Ages versions for 1 & 2 and the original low res Sega CD version of Sonic CD

I dislike Sonic Origins for the fact that Sonic 3 looks like a ripped Mega Drive rom while the others clearly resemble Whitehead's mobile remasters. At least that would mean we get MJ's tracks, but 3 would have looked great if remastered by Whitehead, like in his proof-of-concept for iOS from 2013 or so
