Ratchet and clank is well deserving of the #1 spot. It’s a great game in a great franchise.

We might have had Game Maker Garage if Ninty had bothered to release a physical! Number 2 in Downloads and All Game charts on eShop.

I'd be interested to know how many weekly sales are required in the UK to achieve a top 10 place. I've been following console gaming closely since late 90's and I've never known nintendo do so well with software. Obviously wii had success too

People buying Mario Kart 8 now have no idea they have to buy Mario Kart 9 in a few months too!

Ratchet is the only new game in the list. Fifa is a reskin, as far as I know. That's wild.

@smithyo I find the fact that GTA V is not for once in top 10 in UK crazier. The world has gone topsy-turvy. Well at least the brits never get bored of the f0Otie game

NL Did not post Japanese charts last week. With all reports showing game builder garage number one and rachet and clank at 5. I suspect they won't print them again this week either. Digital sales will not save the PS5 in Japan. The Switch has digital sales in Japan too. meaning PS5 still cannot beat it. And with that lousy FF chaos game shown. for PS4 and 5 . This was one of the main reasons BAYONETTA 3 KNOCKED OUT FFXI from np2 most wanted spot in the Famitsu most wanted charts. Now looks like another PS5 exclusive is turning off Japanese fans. Give it up Sony, concentrate on the west. You have officially lost Japan.

That was my reaction as well. I'd really like to see game sales number vs the install base number. Either game was bought by everyone w/ a console, or, a lot of people w/o a PS5 pre-ordered the game and didn't bother to cancel.

Full disclosure - I don't have a PS5 but have a red controller coming this week. 🤷

@rjejr not that crazy for people to be gathering a library for a console they still plan to buy at some point, especially since PS Store allows it - it's not like Nintendo eShops which won't sell (or even redeem) you a game until your account has its respective console registered.

And it's a port, just goes to show how strong the Mario kart brand is, and how awesome the Switch software ratio is on first party Nintendo games.

@tntswitchfan68 game didn't release until the 11th in Japan so how would it be in last week's chart? Your obsessed with Sony and Japan. I think they are taking your advice and concentrating on the west, its where they make the most money.
Anyway great to see R&C doing well, it's an amazing game and probably the first that's looked truly next gen. Loving it so far, really great fun.

Mario Kart 7 hung around the charts for years and years too. It's why Nintendo only release one version of Mario Kart per console, and why we won't be seeing Mario Kart 9 on Switch.

Mario Kart 9 exclusive to Switch Pro IF it exists, is the only way we're seeing a new MK this/next year.

I played Miitopia 3DS too and have accumulated more than 102 hours gameplay.
It was very funny and quirky JRPG game from Nintendo. I have never played quirky game like that.
I assigned myself as main character and my fictional characters from Planetary Xaviors as my partners. Other characters and the villain I have assigned also based on my fictional heroes Planetary Xaviors.

This is why Nintendo won't be making another MK for Switch anytime soom.

@nhSnork BUT, unlike Nintendo which is still selling 4 year old games like Zelda BotW for $60, and you still need to pay an extra $20 for a green line on the over world map, most Sony gamers know Ratchet & Clank will be $20 this Black Friday, so if you don't have a PS5 yet, just wait a few months and get it much cheaper.

Though as I said in my first post, some people will hit that pre-order button regardless. Keeping in mind these numbers are for physical copies only, so it doesn't matter if Sony let's you buy digital w/o owning the console but Nintendo doesn't.

The only exclusive Sony has that is probably worth playing, so I’m not surprised.

Crazy how Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is still the fastest-selling game of the year so far at UK retail.

At this rate, it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo pulls a GTA V and releases Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on their next generation console as well. Who needs new installments?

But in all seriousness, I fully expect Mario Kart 9 to launch day and date with their next generation console to really get that ball rolling.

Not suprised, love R & C ever since I fired a weapon that made the enemies dance..... Love it As for buying a PS5, I'm looking at 2026 to get mine as there should be some available at a sensible price by then???

@Serialsid Early chart access have it at no5. It is not a bad game, but too short for a 70 buck game, and nothing new to the game.

@rjejr Sony also said they will not lower the price of their games like in the past and they release PS4 games 2 years later full-price on PC and have refused refunds. Nintendo isn't perfect, but Sony isn't consumer friendly like they portray themselves.

@tntswitchfan68 we will see this Friday when they release the sales for the past week. You say its not a bad game, I take it you've played it then? Seen it running in motion on a TV with enemies everywhere, particle effects, ray tracing, amazing 3d audio that changes instantly when use a rift to get behind an enemy, screen packed with assets and background action and looking like a pixar movie? All whilst not dropping a frame! The cost is purely subjective, 12 to 16 hours of very high quality is worth every penny to me but hey you do you.
Will keep me busy until Mario golf drops anyway.

@Serialsid I notice you did not talk about the gameplay. It is a pretty, but shallow game. R&C is not a bad game, and I know value is subjective, remember that the next time Nintendo announced a port. And, it is Thursday when the charts are released and COMG who gets the info, has it at no5 with around 10k.

@tntswitchfan68 gameplay is amazing and fun, that's a given in a R&C game. Great story too. Yes it's Thursday for the week before on famtisu which is what this site uses, so since it released last Friday we will know the numbers soon. Not that it makes any difference what numbers it does.
Good to hear Garage is selling well, love it when Nintendo do stuff outside the box. Both my boys want it.

MK8D sells bc it is a default purchase for new Switch owners….great for Nintendo but crappy for those of us who love the game but have been playing the same thing for seven years. I would imagine that a good 20-25 million users are of the 35 plus million are a little burned out on it too.

@Serialsid They will have the charts up. The gameplay is meh. Nothing new, the story is OK. I like Ratchet, but I guess I am not a fan of Clank. He seems to generic.

$70 for an 18 hour to 100% complete game. Yeah...I just put 150 hours into MH Rise(not done yet!) So I just can't see the value in the inflated price tag.

Though I guess value is subjective. People bring up how movies are more expensive now too but that argument doesn't work if you also think movies are overpriced. Wouldn't surprise me if most people buy R&C, beat it in a few days and then just resell it.

@ATaco I do that with nearly all the games I buy including Nintendo games. Your right, the value of something is subjective. I paid £50 for kirby and my 7 year old beat it in less than 5 hours. Luigis mansion 3 (brilliant game) 16 hours. Even 3d world with bowsers fury can be beat in under 10-12 hours. The last 2 are worth the money for what they give you, fun and enjoyment. Same with R&C, you can see the love and man hours that went into making it such an amazing game that for me personally makes its price tag worth it.
