To be fair, we have Dr Kawashima’s Brain Challenge on Switch, unlike the US where the game hasn't been released AT ALL, so it’s kind of a touche.
Maybe Nintendo doesn’t believe such a small game should receive an international physical release as it probably wouldn’t sell many copies. This is about money clearly, however Activision is the real culprit here, with the Crash 4 fiasco, as that is a blockbuster title

Epic is really up its butt.
They really think that, for making Unreal Engine and striking success with that Fortnite garbage, they must be overly praised and everything must be granted to them.
I hope they lose the Apple trial to prove how jackasses they have become in recent years

Two things:

2. Maybe the employee is not aware that there are quite a few Wii ports on Switch right now that overcame the motion-control issues and are really playable. I'm sure that Prime Trilogy will be released at some point in the future

I have nothing against Dark Alliance, in fact I might get it since I like Baldur’s Gate, but 30 bucks seems really steep at the moment, that is all

Impossible, probably the remake is geared towards PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, if the rumours are right.
HOWEVER, they could remaster the MGS HD Collection for all consoles including Switch (with maybe Twin Snakes as a bonus for it)

Jokes aside, it’s all about the art direction, which in this case makes no justice for the game

People seem to forget that both LiS 1 and Before The Storm came out on iOS, both around the time Switch arrived on market. It's just Squeenix not caring enough about Nintendo and licking the boots of the glorified PCs from Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo gets almost every japanese game from Square-Enix, but those that come from western devs (Tomb Raider, Hitman, LiS, Deus Ex etc) are dodging the Switch like COVID or Plague.

@Tipehtfomottob no but their extremely limited number of copies (even standard editions) do no favor, most of the time they go out of stock just moments after the announce a physical release. Happened to me couple times in the past and decided to never trust them

Great, Limited Run, it's as if it wasn't released physically officialy. I hope Bethesda announces Doom Eternal for retail after the DLCs' release. I really hate limited distributors getting the right to release huge games as they only benefit the scalpers and some few rabid collectors

@EmmatheBest Maybe for the fact that it didn't have anything exclusive on it, like New 3DS, to attract more people. Most people didn't care about any small upgrades that Pro brought to the base PS4 so the extra cost wasn't justifiable.
Let's hope the hypothetical Super Switch (Switch Pro sounds dumb and cringe) will be more enticing to upgrade to

All in all, I also don’t have a problem with the brightness. I do believe that they needed to use the Wii U emulator due to translation implementation issues. Did not occure to anyone how Puyo Puyo 2 and Panel-De-Pon were not translated on the NSO emulator?

Well this is some bargain bin release, Switch is just oversaturated with 2D pixelated side-scrollers

Now I honestly want them to release N64 games on NSO just so I can have a chance to say “man, I’m a boomer”

@StuartGipp they are indeed, as I’m also an Oddworld veteran and I can still complete Abe’s Oddysee without dying too much (I still find the Hard option easier than the original game). Still, this is more of an 8/10 in my book, and 6 is Munch’s Oddysee level of mediocrity and bad aging, definetly worth a try and is the closest thing to the PS4 original in terms of graphic quality (and almost content-wise)

This is the first time I disagree with a review of yours. Sure, the controls are a mixed bag, but maybe it will get patched as the other ports with a digital-controls option, to make it feel more like the original. Besides, you get used to the way it controls pretty quick.
Also don’t trash the lack of difficulty, as not everyone played Abe’s Oddysee and probably not many Switch owners ever heard of Oddworld before, it still has some challenge to offer.
The only real problem with this port is that it doesn’t have the Alf’s Escape DLC from the PC, PS4 and Xbox ports. No idea why did they include the Scrub costume and a music player if they didn’t even consider to bring the extra chapter...

@TheRedComet Agree for the most part, though racing games can work well enough even on constant 30fps, for example Grid Autosport at its highest graphic setting on Switch still runs ok

This is getting stupid already, there won’t be a Switch Pro release next year, as the regular one is selling really well, so introducing a Pro one at a possibly higher price would be the equivalent of Nintendo shooting itself in the foot (or Sega pulling a 32x).
All these rumors are as far fetched as the speculations that plagued the internet last year, only to turn out that it wasn’t such a colossal upgrade at all.

@JSDude1 it didn’t cover absolutely every release, we will also get Oddworld New’N’Tasty, Blade Runner 1997 and plenty more

@Investor9872 The most spoiled comment award in this section clearly goes to you. This collection clearly is appealed more towards the fans who were not around in the 90s or early 2000s to experience the originals or are not console hoarders. 64 DS would have been a hassle to port as it was designed with 2 displays in mind and it's pretty much its own thing compared to the original. I agree though that they could at least made it so you could choose between widescreen and 4:3. Galaxy 2 is just Galaxy but with Yoshi included tbh and I really don't get the Nintemper Tantrums around its exclusion as it wouldn't have made much of a difference really. I played it on Wii way back and it felt mostly the same as the first one. This collection is more of a historical compilation, at a price that is fair (at least for having Sunshine and Galaxy in HD in one pack) than a remake bonanza. Grow up!

@RPGamer I’m in Romania, just now I found out that EA didn’t bother releasing a retail version in the States. Though you can import one for cheap on Amazon I think
