Minute of Islands is a rather compellingly gorgeous game coming to Switch, but after an indefinite delay earlier this year, we've been left wondering when we'll be able to get our hands on the post-apocalyptic wonderland.
Well, we have an answer: It's out RIGHT NOW.
We do love a surprise instant release! Minute of Islands is $19.99 on the Switch eShop. Check out some screenshots:

This caught my eye when I saw the previous trailer. This will be on my wish list, but I'll definitely be waiting until after Nintendo's E3 presentation before I make any eShop purchases.
@Desrever idk about this game but I will also be waiting after Nintendo E3 presentation
Judging by the art alone, the game does look compelling, but I will reserve judgment. @KateGray, I trust you will be reviewing this?
On that score, I wanted to ask you a question. You've reviewed many many indie games since you joined NL and started rubbing shoulders with us mangy gamers. Will you and the other staff writers be giving us a "year in review" type article, where your most memorable reviewed games will be listed?
I'd love a review! It looks gorgeous but I'd have to wait to see if it's my jam
RIGHT NOW
(I am surprised, myself!)
I might care if I could actually download anything no thanks to the recent instability update. How bout fixing that Nintendo? Any time now would be nice.
When’s the E3 presentation?
@BaronMunchausen Tuesday. 9am PST/12pm EST. There were more game reveals for Switch during the PC Gaming and Future Gaming conferences than at any other showing today. The Square conference I felt was a bit of a joke. Although I quite enjoyed seeing the new Guardians of the Galaxy game, the demo for it went way too long. And they showed how ALL of the early Final Fantasy games (1-6) are being redone with new sprite work, etc. in a package....coming to Steam/PC and mobile ONLY at this point. That doesn't make ANY sense to me, at all...NO console release for those as of yet. The only other game from Square that really caught my eye was Final Fantasy Origins, which appears to be a remake of the original Final Fantasy, with the three fighters referring to themselves as the Light warriors and fighting Garland as Chaos. I hope to hear more about that one in the future.
Oh awesome thanks for the heads up. I had this wishlisted before and was bummed when it suddenly disappeared
Looks like Adventure time.
Fool me once...shame on me. Fool me twice.... can't get fooled again.
I like the art style. But is this a GAME???!!!
let me know in the comments....
@Zeldafan79 I have a similar issue with downloads but I can get them to start if I restart the console.
@OorWullie Nothing works for me. I tried everything read on the Internet !
Not gonna lie, it looks gorgeous, however I'm putting money aside for Skyward Sword and those beautiful joycons
@COVIDberry I'm not sure about the review yet — I've already got Overboard! and LEGO Builder's Journey AND House In Fata Morgana on my plate, (and E3 ahahaha) so this one wouldn't get reviewed for a while.
I played a little bit on Steam earlier this year though, and had a good time — it's sort of reminiscent of an old-school point-and-click with the way the puzzles work, though the world is VERY busy with art and it's a bit hard to find your way. It is beautiful, though.
@KateGray Thanks much! Impressions corroborated!
I'm not trying to push you or the other reviewers... I'm just saying that you've reviewed some intriguing indie titles (or you, in part, made them seem intriguing). If I have trouble keeping track of all the stuff released this year, I can't imagine your problems. All this can happen later, though, hehe!
